Advantages: Reliable, solid machine

...I have owned a Toshiba Satelite Pro for over three years now and on the whole am very happy with the machine. There is however a caveat with my recommendation. The design boys at Toshiba made one glaring mistake by placing the cooling vent for the processor on the underside of the laptop. as a result the laptop will gets very hot, the fan is constantly working at near maximum and is noisy. Eventually, the machine will get too hot and close down. I note from a previous review that someone complains that his machine shuts down unexpectedly - I'm pretty sure that this is part of the cooling problem. Luckily the machine is smart enough to know when the heat is critical and will perform a 'hard shutdown'. Leaving the machine to make the decision however, WILL degrade the machine over time and cause reliability problems... Read review

...The Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 laptop is ideal for entry level home users, and possibly students who have some time on their hands to sort stuff out. I wouldn't say it was suitable for the lower end of the business market, as Toshiba seem to be targeting with this product. I could be wrong however, maybe I was just unlucky! I have had mine for 8 months now, after previous satellite old faithful, which I had owned for about 7 years, gave up the ghost in the middle of a project, and I needed a cheap laptop quickly. I was impressed by the blue design which veers away from the boring black/grey you're used to seeing on the budget end notebooks. ...my laptop, the only thing I didn't appreciate was all the stickers over the inside (to the left of the mouse pad), there is a "Desiged for XP" sticker, and "Intel Inside" sticker, one "Bundled with MS OneNote 2003" and a final "Surround Sound" which personally I dont like (hense I removed the last two) I have recomended this laptop to other people who have been looking, Toshiba have many different spec's in the Satellite Pro models, and the final thing about this laptop, the name, "what laptop do you have?" Disadvantages: A clichéd none (but it's true!)

...The product: Toshiba is a well known and excellent brand (and for good reasons too). Toshiba has recently launched a HD (High Definition) camcorder which is very reasonably priced at an average of £149. It is able to record HD videos at a resolution of 1,280x720p (which is excellent in this ever changing technological world). It possesses a 2.5 inch ( 6.35 cm) and even has a swivel screen (which is common in most camcorders nowadays) which can rotate 270 degrees.
