The Toshiba Regza

Advantages: Price, price, price
Disadvantages: bulkiness, appearance

...The Toshiba Regza is a great Television for those looking to get good value for money. The flat, LCD, wall mountable Regza, compared to other brands, will not break the pounds at around £800-£900. Visually, the Regza 46" is plain. In order to wall mount the set a bracket needs to be purchased seperately, this can be very expensive (a couple hundred pounds). If buying the television to sit on the floor, ensure the price you pay does include the stand. The Regza is easy enough to wall mount, however it does pertrude from the wall considerably compared with other, more expensive models. The Regza is an easy television to watch, with lovely colour tones and a clear picture even in sunlight. Adjusting the screen is a little difficult unless you read the manual first, as settings are complicating compared to older TV models...

Another winner from Toshiba

Advantages: Value for money, Picture Quality
Disadvantages: Some sound issues

...Component connection 2 scart and composite connections are also catered for,even P.C and laptop users can plug their equipment into the rear 15 pin D type plug and enjoy large screen gaming with X-Box 360(I have my X-Box 360 plugged into this socket & it works a treat for High Def gaming). The built in DVB freeview tuner works well. The only downside i find with the Toshiba WLT 66 is with the sound quality from the in built speakers really is'nt up to the job of supplying a good enough sound quality to match the quality of the picture....

Hello Tosh I just bought my first flatscreen

Advantages: Great brand name, backed up with various best buy awards
Disadvantages: remote control feels very plastic and paint wears off very quickly

However, when you use it, you dont feel very comfortable because it feels very cheap. Fine, but isn't all that user friendly

Advantages: Fine picture, OK sound, nice looks, slim-ish, relatively cheap, fair few inputs
Disadvantages: Horrific Freeview tuner and EPG, HORRIBLY unresponsive remote, worse than useless PC input

...Well, we've had this Toshiba in our living room for a year or so now, and while it's got a pretty good picture and sound (and looks pretty superb when it's off), there are some MAJOR niggles that are now starting to annoy me. The remote is the main issue. As mentioned in other reviews, it's a little plasticky and the paint wears off (big deal). What annoyed me is how horribly unresponsive it is. Since new, you really had to force the buttons into the unit to get it to do anything. Now, a year in, the TV has decided to completely ignore all but the volume buttons. That's not such an issue, seeing that the remote can be replaced with a universal one, but it's an annoyance all the same when you consider how much the thing cost. Then there's the inbuilt freeview. The hot full HD of the year

Advantages: Full HD /2 HDMI / freeview / PRICE

I bought the wlt66 in february in an online shop for an outstanding 890 pounds wich certainly was the best quality/price ratio at the moment. all the option i needed were present even if some of them were not as extended in a 1500 pounds model. Does what it says on the tin i suppose

Advantages: It's Toshiba, it's good.
Disadvantages: Not the best picture.

...I've owned this TV for just over a year now and to be honest I bought it on the back of very good reviews. I have the TV linked up to my XBox 360/DVD player/360 HD Drive and Sky digital in my 'games room', while a very solid performer I did find it slighty underwelming. The picture just never seems to be all that great, I know that plasma and LCD both have their individual benefits but through ownership comparison I have to say plasma hands down. The colours just never seem that crisp nor rich enough and the sharpness isn't what I'd expect either. As usual with Toshiba the build quailty and features are excellent............just found the whole thing a little underwelming. Would recommend for the right money, but would advise to explore all alternatives out there...

Great LCD at a bargain price

...I have been looking for an LCD TV for some time to replace my Phillips 28" CRT which is still good quality but takes up a lot of space in my 3m x 3.5m entertainment room. Decided on a 32" as the viewing distance is about 2.5m. I decided to plan for the future and get an LCD with 2 HDMI sockets to accomodate a Sky HD and a DVD connection.
