Typical Toshiba
Advantages: Ease of use, memory capacity
Disadvantages: Quality, feel, value for money
...The Toshiba Satellite L500 is the same as most other toshiba laptops. It looks stylish and can do all the basic functions that you would want for a laptop. However, when you use it, you dont feel very comfortable because it feels very cheap. The keyboard is very flimsy and feels like it is about to break every time you type something and the mouse pad and buttons do not respond well. However, the number pad on the right hand side of the keyboard is great as it makes it so easy to type numbers. You can buy this laptop with a range of processors and sizes of harddrive so you can choose the one which suits you best. The display is actually very good but the battery life could have been improved. On my model it will last for a maximum of 2.5 hours on its lowest power setting.
Overall, this laptop is reasonable at most things but not...

Canon S200
Advantages: cheap, compact, durable
Disadvantages: bit of an ink-guzzler
...I came across the Canon S200 a little over two years ago in the PC World sale when, as a student, I was looking for a cheap but reliable bit of kit to keep those coursework essays churning out (I'd rather have had an extra half hour in bed than race to college to 'bag' a printer in the IT lab...hm, not much has changed I fear).
Not only did I quite fancy the price-tag (just under 30 quid), I was attracted to the S200's size - it's small enough to perch on the corner of my desk without taking up too much precious space otherwise needed for books, papers, cups of tea, elbows etc... [dimensions excluding feeder tray = 16 x 16 x 35cm approx.]
The printer came with a USB cable and easy-to-install CD-Rom driver. The CD also contains an electronic manual that can be installed for later consultation (although personally I'd have preferred...

Toshiba Equium
Advantages: Value For money
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...

Logitect does it again with the S200!
Advantages: Cheap, Good looking for the price, Compact, Great sound
Disadvantages: None!
...Who hasn't heard of Logitech?
They have essentially become a household brand, with their ground-breaking products that offer functionality at a low cost to the consumer.
Recent reviews that have praised Logitech's balance of cost and performance have covered their Webcams, Speakers, Mice and Keyboards, and a lot of other peripherals to boot.
So they seem to have a hold on the market, don't they? Well, that should continue as long as Logitech continue to manufacture products such as the S200.
Let's start with the aesthetics of the S200s. They come in a rather smart black and silver finish, which may look tacky but is actually very smart in the flesh. They feel solid to the touch, and very robust if dropped (I accidentaly did this but please don't!).
A headphone and microphone socket are both included on one sattelite...

S200 - Basic Budget Printer that gets the job done
Advantages: Very cheap to buy and run, compact.
Disadvantages: Print quality not brilliant, a little flimsy.
...I purchased a Canon S200x printer as a stop-gap measure when my absolutely dreadful Epson 680 gave up for good (a definite blessing in disguise!). I have since upgraded to the brilliant Canon i560 (which I have also reviewed) but used the S200 for a few months whilst I saved up for a better one.
The printer cost me less than £40 from the superb ebuyer.com - this is especially excellent when you consider that cartridges (unofficial) for the printer can be purchased for about £3 each! Sometimes budget printers like these sting you later on the cartridges but with this unit, the cost is low and stays low!
Unpacking the printer, you'll notice it is fairly compact and light, and also feels rather tacky and plasticky. The printer is mostly standard beige, with the front cover in a green/grey effect. It doesn't look too bad, but not too...

Nikon Coolpix S200
Advantages: Functions well in daylight; looks good and is fairly compact
Disadvantages: Picture quality is middle-of-the-road; is awful in low light
...The Nikon Coolpix is a good-looking camera; that is not to be doubted. I was initially very pleased with it, but have since been a little underwhelmed. Although I think Nikon are a very good company who on the whole turn out some excellent products, I am unconvinced that the S200 is one of their best pieces of work.
My main gripes are twofold. Firstly, I do not think that the picture quality is anything better than average, and there are certainly better options out on the market elsewhere - I believe Olympus cameras to be very strong in this regard. Secondly, despite the emphasis on its high ISO settings in the marketing for the product, I have been unimpressed by the camera's ability to take photographs in anything much less than broad daylight. The only way that a photo with remotely decent resolution can be taken is...

Save up some dosh to buy this Tosh...iba
Advantages: Fast, Portable, Comfortable and Sleek, HD Resolution, Toshiba support is brilliant!
Disadvantages: Awful grapics card, Not very durable, Speaker volume isn't fab...
...that law legal. So the laptop, it's got plenty of positives and only a few negatives. And if you've read my other reviews, I like to get the negatives out of the way first.
NEGATIVES
I'll get straight to the point, the graphics card is seriously bad, there's no way around it. It's a new thing where your computers RAM is used to power some of the graphics, like video and pictures. However this won't work with high-end games like the Call of Duty series or Crysis. This however, isn't a laptop you'd buy if you were wanting one for gaming, so it's not a major draw back. Another bad point is the durability, which isn't great. The lid can be pushed in, revealing it is fairly hollow apart from the screen and its components. I thought this a bit stupid as Toshiba are just wasting money making more material, why not just make it thin and tight guys...

OPINION
If you want a computer for anything other than general use this is not the right laptop for you. It doesnt have the capabilities to be anything other than an average computer. It could suit small business ventures that dont necessarily require a high processing speed, but is...
