Toshiba A200 - 195
Review of Toshiba Satellite A200-195 Laptop by
JJS77
Advantages: Light, Fast, Looks nice, Reliable, Value.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have a built in webcam or Bluetooth connectivity.
...with the good value. After going through the specifications on the Toshiba website, which I might add is very easy to compare the differences between their laptops and is really quite helpful, I settled on an A200 series, as the new A210 series is based on AMD's processors and currently Intel's processors (CPU's) are a lot better at power management, thus give a longer battery life. This is the only difference between the A200 and A210 series.
I had settled on one of the A200's, however as it is a laptop and I need to really be able to feel the weight of it, as I am not good at judging weights from a kilogram measure on a website, I went to various high street shops to see and have a quick play on the Toshiba A200's. I went to PC World, Dixons, Currys etc, all the staff seemed to echo the reviews I had read on the internet about Toshiba being one...

Toshiba A200-195
Review of Toshiba Satellite A200-195 - Core 2 Duo T5300 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
davidjp1990
Advantages: Great Sound, 2GB RAM, Quite Quick, 4 Hours Battery life, looks, Bright Widescreen, WiFi
Disadvantages: Weight...............that's it
...The Toshiba Satellite A200-195. I first saw this product on the comet website, as i was looking for my first laptop to use at home and at school, the price looked good for the specification of the laptop.
So what do you get for that price:
A Dual Core Processor that runs at 1.73 GHz (like having a 3.46 GHz pentium 4)
A huge 2GB of high performance RAM (667 mhz DDR2)
A decent 120GB hard drive
An integrated DVD-RW
A 15.4" Bright Widescreen
Excellent WiFi and wired Internet
An amazing up to 4 Hours battery life (I have only got upto 3:45 Hours, if you were to run linux you could get it upto 5 hours)
Windows Vista Home Premium
A very very good sound system
The main thing i was looking for was a good battery life. I had a choice of this Toshiba (4 Hours) , an Apple Macbook that cost twice as much (6 Hours), a Sony Vaio almost...

Acceptable Toshiba.
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 by
AmenTeen
Advantages: Speed, comfortabe, cheap.
Disadvantages: No webcam built-in.
...The Toshiba brand has always been noted with mass gratitude for solid and robust piece-of-art laptops and particularity, the Satellite Pro A200 is not an odd exception, not a disappointment.
The Satellite Pro offers Intel new processor technology as far as concerned. This advantage gives the user open options for use of softwares and applications compatible with the new technology of duo-core. Still the duo-core processors are robust, at least 1.5GHZ that reach 3.0GHZ (TSP has 1.73GHz Core 2 Duo CPU), with twos HEARTS as the two cores!
The processor is relaxed with the 1GB of 667MHz DDR2 memory (better than DDR1). all though, it's not advised for windows vista.
Vista requires 2GB. It still represents good value for what's in the box.
The Graphical display and the adapters are very satisfying, sometimes luxurious, capable...

Why the Portege A200 is almost the best. Almost.
Review of Toshiba Portege A200 - Pentium M 725 1.6 GHz - 12.1" TFT by
Mandrake666
Advantages: Fast, upgradeable, extremely portable and super stylish
Disadvantages: Heatsink blocks up with dust easity, leading to overheating
...I have had several laptops, usually older ones and was given this one by my brother six months back. He'd used it continuously for about a year and it was showing its flaws but after a bit of tweaking it's been a dream, and believe me I'm no light user either!
Mostly I use it to develop software (Visual Studio 2005, C#, .NET) and have it weighted down with SDK's. But, I also edit video in premiere on it, and write music in Cubase with some hefty plug-ins running not to mention a Line 6 TonePort GX and amp modelling software
STRENGTHS
The Toshiba Portege A200 is one of the lightest, slimmest laptops you'll come across, but apart from a slightly poor graphics card it lacks nothing in features and is highly upgradeable. The run time is over 2.5 Hours on a fully charged battery and the 12.1" screen is 1024x768 resolution so although...

Toshiba Satellite M30 - Good Lookin Machine
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 1.7 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
terence638l
Advantages: Fast, lots of features, easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with internal modem, infra red port has short range
...The Toshiba satellite m30 pro is a thin and sleek laptop matching the looks and requirements for todays busy and on the move users. It is literally a desktop computer packed into a small, light and easy to use 1.6GHZ, 60 Gb memory HDD and 512 MB RAM machine. I have found it not only easy to use but also fun and hassle free most of the time. (With most problems the occasional usual thing that you get with computers)
Features:
- dual Harman/kardon speakers
- Infrared port
- Wireless lan
- Internal Toshiba software modem
- Dvd-r burner
- Dvd player features (play, stop , etc buttons on the side of the laptop)
- IEEE port
- Serial port to add monitor
- Expansion card slot
- 3 USB ports
- Multiple settings for battery use. Can alter power settings to extend the life of the battery to its maximum approx 8 hours life
- Intel...

The best toy ever
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A200-18P - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
grafter123
Advantages: Compact, portable, dual core, good sized screen, smooth keyboard
Disadvantages: None yet-fingers crossed
...'s early Sunday closing time, by the time we had decided on our purchase. Now I shall cut a long story short and explain that many of the laptops on sale in Currys were classed as 'Previously used' As the assistant explained that these may have been returned to the store unopened we thought we would go for one of these. However after many problems over the next couple of days getting our purchase sorted we cancelled the order and decided to buy on-line.
We choose our laptop from Dixons on-line and although t was a slightly different model, it was still a Toshiba. Dixon's was easy to use and competitive and we settled for the A200 at a purchase price of £549.99 including delivery. The order progressed went swimmingly and very soon Hubby was giving me a call at work to say the 'New toy' had arrived.
The Toshiba A200 has a matte black base...

Toshiba Satellite Pro A60
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 - Celeron D 335 2.8 GHz - 15" TFT by
scottergirdham
Advantages: Sturdy design Nice Blue colour Get a lot for your money
Disadvantages: Overheating/crashing problems experienced Memory upgrade was necessary Required a lot of tweaking to get 'right'
...The Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 laptop is ideal for entry level home users, and possibly students who have some time on their hands to sort stuff out. I wouldn't say it was suitable for the lower end of the business market, as Toshiba seem to be targeting with this product. I could be wrong however, maybe I was just unlucky!
I have had mine for 8 months now, after previous satellite old faithful, which I had owned for about 7 years, gave up the ghost in the middle of a project, and I needed a cheap laptop quickly. I was impressed by the blue design which veers away from the boring black/grey you're used to seeing on the budget end notebooks.
For the budget it was a toss up between this or a Dell, and in the end I decided to go for the Tosh which wasn't the bottom end of the scale like the Dell was for the same money.
Due...

Toshiba Satellite Pro
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 - Pentium M 735 1.7 GHz - 15" TFT by
aj3001
Advantages: Fairly Cheap, stylish and looks good
Disadvantages: Battery life not amazing
...my laptop, the only thing I didn't appreciate was all the stickers over the inside (to the left of the mouse pad), there is a "Desiged for XP" sticker, and "Intel Inside" sticker, one "Bundled with MS OneNote 2003" and a final "Surround Sound" which personally I dont like (hense I removed the last two)
I have recomended this laptop to other people who have been looking, Toshiba have many different spec's in the Satellite Pro models, and the final thing about this laptop, the name, "what laptop do you have?" There is nothing more I love saying then "a Satellite Pro"...

Toshiba Satellite P200-155 Overcome on anothers
Review of Toshiba Satellite P200-155 - Core 2 Duo T5300 1.73 GHz - 17.1" TFT by
sobkawy
Advantages: Great Sound and Performance, High Screen Resolution
Disadvantages: None
...The Toshiba Satellite P200 -17C is the perfect laptop if you're looking for some gaming fun. Its 2D and 3D performance is impressive, while six USB ports are scattered around the machine. The speakers are excellent and Interacting with the P200 is a mixed bag because whilst the trackpad is great, the keyboard has a couple of flaws. The space bar feels as though it's about to pop off and the diminutive size of the 'Enter' button.Opting for screen size over mobility, the Toshiba Satellite P200-13Z is aimed at home multimedia use. With its dual-core processor, 17-inch screen and large keyboard, it suits desktop use where comfort is more important than portability. A thoroughly capable desktop replacement with plenty of storage and power, but it's pricey....
