Toshiba Satellite M30 - Good Lookin Machine
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 1.7 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
terence638l
Advantages: Fast, lots of features, easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with internal modem, infra red port has short range
...The Toshiba satellite m30 pro is a thin and sleek laptop matching the looks and requirements for todays busy and on the move users. It is literally a desktop computer packed into a small, light and easy to use 1.6GHZ, 60 Gb memory HDD and 512 MB RAM machine. I have found it not only easy to use but also fun and hassle free most of the time. (With most problems the occasional usual thing that you get with computers)
Features:
- dual Harman/kardon speakers
- Infrared port
- Wireless lan
- Internal Toshiba software modem
- Dvd-r burner
- Dvd player features (play, stop , etc buttons on the side of the laptop)
- IEEE port
- Serial port to add monitor
- Expansion card slot
- 3 USB ports
- Multiple settings for battery use. Can alter power settings to extend the life of the battery to its maximum approx 8 hours life
- Intel...

Toss out this Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite 1800-204 - C 1 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
funphobic2
Advantages: Compact, good hard drive space and processing speed
Disadvantages: Its durability, and has become out-dated
...and a picture guide for those (like myself) who don’t have the patience to read through all of the written guides.
***Support***
I’ve never needed to call Toshiba about anything as my brother is extremely computer literate, but I’ve heard mainly positive comments about the Toshiba technical support system. If you did lose any info or drivers, browse through the website to download the drivers.

***Overall advantages***
The biggest pro’s for the laptop are its design; Firstly, it is light. At 2.6kg (including battery), which is ideal for taking to work or university. Along with the power adapter and the bag, it comes to about 3.1kg in total. Overall size is 31.7 x 27.9. x 3.9 cm quite small compared with some...

Toshiba Satellite Pro A60
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 - Celeron D 335 2.8 GHz - 15" TFT by
scottergirdham
Advantages: Sturdy design Nice Blue colour Get a lot for your money
Disadvantages: Overheating/crashing problems experienced Memory upgrade was necessary Required a lot of tweaking to get 'right'
...The Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 laptop is ideal for entry level home users, and possibly students who have some time on their hands to sort stuff out. I wouldn't say it was suitable for the lower end of the business market, as Toshiba seem to be targeting with this product. I could be wrong however, maybe I was just unlucky!
I have had mine for 8 months now, after previous satellite old faithful, which I had owned for about 7 years, gave up the ghost in the middle of a project, and I needed a cheap laptop quickly. I was impressed by the blue design which veers away from the boring black/grey you're used to seeing on the budget end notebooks.
For the budget it was a toss up between this or a Dell, and in the end I decided to go for the Tosh which wasn't the bottom end of the scale like the Dell was for the same money.

Toshiba Satellite L30-10X, solid if unspectacular
Review of Toshiba Satellite L30-10X - Celeron M 440 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
alfie2713
Advantages: Value for money. External looks
Disadvantages: Boring looking when open
...As a university student I felt it was highly recommended to have a laptop that could be taken to uni rather than having to wait till returning home to get work done. This Toshiba Satellite was chosen for the great value for money it appeared to offer, with the manufacturer Toshiba you expect a product that you know will deliver solid performance and this is no different. Easily picked up for just a few hundred pounds it comes equiped with everything you would expect from a top manufacturer, a high quality graphics card which makes it capable of playing many of todays higher end game. Built in wireless compatibilites make connecting to the internet outside the home easy and is easily as good as the sort of laptop that many people would pay hundreds of pounds for just for a few extra numbers in the product information whereas the change...

Toshiba Satellite Pro A100
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
yatyit14
Advantages: quite pretty, easy to use
Disadvantages: slow
...not be the model for you. As a brand Toshiba a good, i would recomend them even if you do not pick this model. There are 4 usb ports, you can use wireless internet and netweorking, it has a cd drive and apparently the ability to burn CDs and DVDs, but for some reason i havnt got mine working yet - this may just be me being stupid tho! I am not great with computer hardware, so there are lots more things that this model has that i wouldnt be able to explain,so sorry about that. The laptop is quite light compared to many other laptops. Overall, this laptop it good, if a bit slow....

Superb laptop, great value for money
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M50 - Celeron M 380 1.6 GHz - 14" TFT by
hongman
Advantages: Great middle class laptop, widescreen and compact
Disadvantages: Lacks the tru-brite screen...
...on here as there are already a lot of open source driver development for this chipset.
Cant vouch for the bundled software as that is always the first thing to come off on my laptops, if I remember right there wasnt too much crap preinstalled (again, unlike the Vaios).
Strudy build (dropped mine from anbout 4 feet onto hard tiles with barely a scratch to show for it), and battery lasts a fair amount of time. Plenty of USB connectivity.
Wish it came with a DVD/RW....
Toshiba are also very good when it comes to customer support, I had one sent back due to a faulty motherboard and the process from start to finish was pleasent - good communications, fast service. The only trouble is trying to navigate round their website to find things like contact numbers! Thats there the Forum comes in, regular member activity to point you...

Low cost, feature packed
Review of Toshiba Satellite L30-113 - Celeron M 430 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
Shadow_X
Advantages: Price, features
Disadvantages: only 512mn installed RAM
...and saves the hassle of having to buy a plug in wireless adapter for your laptop.
The battery life is good, sometimes cheaper laptops have problems with battery life, but I suppose that is probably where the experience of Toshiba comes in, they know what they are doing and it shows in this laptop.
The graphics are great, but then thats to be expected with an ATI graphics card, it can actually play games that my PC struggles with.
My old laptop seemed to be awkward to use after a while especially as the touchpad used to get warm after prolonged use, this laptop does not have that problem.
The laptop comes with many features as standard including :
Product Description - Toshiba Satellite L30-113 - Celeron M 430 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT
Dimensions (WxDxH) - 35.8 cm x 26.2 cm x 3.7 cm

1 Year On - No Change of Great Quality
Review of Toshiba Satellite L30-11D - Celeron M 440 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
cooldude28
Advantages: Quality, Speed, Durable, Compact, Small, Wireless, Good Cost
Disadvantages: Battery not as long as others.
...hard drive this great and does not struggle to hold alot of information, which include music, pictures, videos documents and programs.
SPECIFICATIONS:
I am not the sort of person who is highly interested in numbers, and codes for electronics, but I do try and keep up with the new gear and electronics
The Toshiba Satellite L30-11D has:
INTEL CELERON M PROCESSOR 370:
This processor is designed specifically for laptops, providing a good standard of mobile-optimised processor technology, good performance and good value for money.
Giving 1.5GHz of speed, this is one of the fastest processors for laptops (which is always a good thing!) and it has a 400 MHz FSB. The FSB is short for 'Front Side Bus' and basically it links all the components together on the motherboard of a computer (you learn something new everyday!). The 400...
