Review of Toshiba Satellite L30-105 - Pentium Dual Core T2060 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
cooldude28
Advantages: Fast, easy to get on with
Disadvantages: Battery is so poor!
...This is the TOSHIBA Satellite laptop. Most people think of up to the minute technology, and all of the things that a small wireless system can do. I was given this laptop as a gift, and a very nice gift it was too. I was so happy when I recieved it. I am unsure of the price, of when buying, but I have seen online that this laptop is available for around £350 - £425, depending on where bought, and what comes with the package. The laptop is on Windows XP, not the new vista package. I am quite happy with Windows XP. I used a desktop comptuer before recieving this laptop, and like the way Windows XP is layed out, and the sounds and features. I have heard that Vista is a bad upgrade, and far better sticking with XP. I am glad I have stuck with something I like so much.
I use this laptop everyday, and everyday I use, it never fails me...

Toshiba Satellite M30 - Good Lookin Machine
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 1.7 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
terence638l
Advantages: Fast, lots of features, easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with internal modem, infra red port has short range
...by default connect you to the internet, the Toshiba console (which is a program which Toshiba has smartly put in to help users customize and fiddle around with the settings of their computer. It is not quite the control panel but is similar and not quite as extensive) and also to windows media player. The touchpad is just beneath the space bar and is a similarly frosted silver with the left and right click buttons just beneath that. All in all, personally I believe it is all very well set out and looks great! Has that great modern look that I used to believe only Sony could obtain. But now with the Toshiba satellite m30 I know this isn’t true. It is as good even or better aesthetically than the Sony range of laptops, which I regard as having a very aesthetically pleasing range of laptops.
Pros
The toshiba satellite m30, besides its good looks...

Satellite System
Review of Toshiba Satellite P30-133 - Mobile Pentium 4 548 3.33 GHz - 17" TFT by
crutchley_am
Advantages: High performance, good reliability
Disadvantages: Low battery life
...I've just started university (well, I'm coming up to the end of my second term) and so when I was buying the things I needed, I thought it would be handy to have a laptop to take to lectures, especially seeing as my desktop PC is as old as the universe and that would allow my laptop to double up as a home PC. Now I know a fair bit about computers, so I'm not going to end up being sold a rubbish system. It also means that I have a very specific set of requirements. Having weighed up the options available to me, I eventually went for the Toshiba Satellite P30-133.
LOOKS
The Satellite largely looks the same as any other laptop, the difference being the colour on the cover. The whole top is red and I think that's the colour you have to have (although I could be wrong - obviously I haven't been to every shop in the world that retails...

Toshiba SPM30
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 725 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
nigelcwm
Advantages: screen size, overall features
Disadvantages: price
...This review is for the Toshiba Satellite Pro m30 Harman Kardon styled laptop.I will not say what I paid as it was a special price and not generally available.
I have had this laptop for approx. 9 months.
I use this laptop mainly for wireless connection to the WWW from my lounge, I am writing this review on it now.
The first things I look for in a laptop or a desktop come to that is how it interfaces with me rather than performance. This laptop is good. The screen is 15".4" and is superb except when outdoors in the sun but then that is to be expected. There is quite a lot of brightness control to suit most people. The characters are clear and crisp, it is not as good as a high quality CRT monitor but that is also to be expected.
The keyboard is also good and although I am not a great fan of laptop keyboards I get on well...

Toshiba Satellite Pro
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 - Pentium M 735 1.7 GHz - 15" TFT by
aj3001
Advantages: Fairly Cheap, stylish and looks good
Disadvantages: Battery life not amazing
...my laptop, the only thing I didn't appreciate was all the stickers over the inside (to the left of the mouse pad), there is a "Desiged for XP" sticker, and "Intel Inside" sticker, one "Bundled with MS OneNote 2003" and a final "Surround Sound" which personally I dont like (hense I removed the last two)
I have recomended this laptop to other people who have been looking, Toshiba have many different spec's in the Satellite Pro models, and the final thing about this laptop, the name, "what laptop do you have?" There is nothing more I love saying then "a Satellite Pro"...

Toss out this Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite 1800-204 - C 1 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
funphobic2
Advantages: Compact, good hard drive space and processing speed
Disadvantages: Its durability, and has become out-dated
...I’ve never really been interested in laptops, I’m more of a desktop girl myself, but when moving to university 3 years ago and having to live in a studio flat, my desktop just took up too much space. So I needed a laptop. Unfortunately, I had spent a lot of my loan on clothes and holiday’s (as you do!) so I had to find something on the cheaper side. Luckily I know a little about computers and knew pretty much what I needed; something compact, but with good processing speed and a large hard drive. So I went about my laptop shopping….
***Why I chose Toshiba***
I popped into the Dixons in Watford and they had a couple of ex-display models on sale. I came across a Toshiba satellite 1800-204. I noticed a few people had a Toshiba Satellite notebook, and so it caught my eye immediately. It was made in 1999, and basic specs include...

Toshiba have come a long way!
Review of Toshiba Satellite P10-873 - Mobile Pentium 4 538 2.8 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
Forillian
Advantages: Large screen with vivid colours, large capacity hard disk and processing speed
Disadvantages: A little heavy. Windows OS pre-installed, so no Windows disc included for emergencies
...I owned a Toshiba Tecra some years ago when they first came out. It was small, heavy and slow with many annoying features. I only used it for a few months then, in frustration, traded it in for a Samsung, which I cherished thereafter. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end... After 3 years of use and many overseas visits, my Samsung finally packed in. So the hunt was on for a viable replacement.
I'm one of those people who cram as many programs as possible onto their computers together with a huge amount of data, so the specs of the replacement machine were very important. Of course I immediately thought of Samsung, but was really depressed to find that the specs hadn't changed much over the years - it seemed I'd just hit it lucky before. I also felt that, probably due to its success in the UK, Samsung had become overpriced...

Another winner from Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L40-15D - Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
HokaHey
Advantages: looks, reliability, battery, ease of use, screen
Disadvantages: none yet found
...This is my second Toshiba Satellite. Until recently I have been using a slightly dated but very effective Toshiba Satellite L10-114. Having recently purchased this new one though, I have to say there is a substantial improvement over my old lap top.
I run my own business from home and my lap top is my life line and main source of income so it always has to be Toshiba for me. They are so reliable and trustworthy that I will not risk any other make now.
The L40-12T is simply a stunning looking machine and creates an instant wow factor - key when using it in front of clients at presentations etc. It looks like a far more expensive machine than it really is. This is sadly quite key in such a material world.
The resolution of the screen is of the highest order in my opinion. For some reason - and there may be a technical reason...

New Satellite Pro Laptop a Dream
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L40-15D - Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
blondgem
Advantages: Ideal for Companies for Employees
Disadvantages: No Software included
...Toshiba, one of the best names in laptop computers about and if you are looking to pay a little less for your laptop but want a good machine then the new Satellite Pro L40 is ideal.
It hasn't got dual core but at the end of the day who really needs this. This laptop is and ideal buy for any company that gives laptops to their employees, or whether you want a machine to potter about at home on.
Extremely stylish and lite weight, this can be carried anywhere with you and has wi-fi so if you require it for business purposes then don't worry you can still log on in your hotel room.
512MB RAM is quite enough for any user, in my job the files produce are of extreme size and there is no problem storing all this on this machine.
CD / DVD RW also included which is a bonus.
The only downfall is that this laptop comes...

Toshiba Satellite Pro A60
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 - Celeron D 335 2.8 GHz - 15" TFT by
scottergirdham
Advantages: Sturdy design Nice Blue colour Get a lot for your money
Disadvantages: Overheating/crashing problems experienced Memory upgrade was necessary Required a lot of tweaking to get 'right'
...The Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 laptop is ideal for entry level home users, and possibly students who have some time on their hands to sort stuff out. I wouldn't say it was suitable for the lower end of the business market, as Toshiba seem to be targeting with this product. I could be wrong however, maybe I was just unlucky!
I have had mine for 8 months now, after previous satellite old faithful, which I had owned for about 7 years, gave up the ghost in the middle of a project, and I needed a cheap laptop quickly. I was impressed by the blue design which veers away from the boring black/grey you're used to seeing on the budget end notebooks.
For the budget it was a toss up between this or a Dell, and in the end I decided to go for the Tosh which wasn't the bottom end of the scale like the Dell was for the same money.
Due...
