Reviews of toshiba satellite pro a200-se
Best budget machine by Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B1 - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
ZiaFarhan
Advantages: Cash back, looks, Broad, bright display; comfortable keyboard
Disadvantages: Unimpressive battery life
...I have never seen or used a Toshiba AMD based laptop that was better than this particular piece of kit
This is definately a budget machine which is a perfect desktop replacement with a sleek design and attractive display that would appeal.
Pros: Broad, bright display; comfortable keyboard, new measures that Toshiba has taken to insure quality and the look
Cons: Unimpressive battery life; glossy screen finish produces reflections;
Verdict: The inexpensive Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B1 laptop offers enough features and performance oomph for basic business tasks, but its AMD processor may disappoint hard-core multitaskers. Does not over warm up so thats good news for travellers like myself. Is very good value for money, looking at prices of different stores like Technoworld (by now you should all know it is my favourite...

Toshiba Satelite Pro
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 - C 2.5 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
deadlysirius
Advantages: Reliable, solid machine
Disadvantages: Overheats! Beware
...I have owned a Toshiba Satelite Pro for over three years now and on the whole am very happy with the machine.
There is however a caveat with my recommendation.
The design boys at Toshiba made one glaring mistake by placing the cooling vent for the processor on the underside of the laptop. as a result the laptop will gets very hot, the fan is constantly working at near maximum and is noisy. Eventually, the machine will get too hot and close down.
I note from a previous review that someone complains that his machine shuts down unexpectedly - I'm pretty sure that this is part of the cooling problem. Luckily the machine is smart enough to know when the heat is critical and will perform a 'hard shutdown'.
Leaving the machine to make the decision however, WILL degrade the machine over time and cause reliability problems.
The simple...

Toshiba Satellite P100-112 Core Duo T2500 17" TFT
Review of Toshiba Satellite P100-112 - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 17" TFT by
roddersontheradio
Advantages: Brilliant trubrite screen gives pin sharp image
Disadvantages: keyboard is tight
...Recently upgraded from a Toshiba Satellite 2450 so slightly biased in favour of the brand which I've found to be robust and reliable. This baby is cuter in terms of the graphic capability especially with the 17" trubrite screen which gives a wonderfully clean image - definitely it's biggest selling point. It also has the DVD RW capability plus WiFi which are essential upgrade features. On the matter of upgrades, I like the fact that you can access the memory mode bay on the underside rather than a complex fiddle with keyboards to reach the RAM chips. Speaking of keyboards, this is my one gripe with the Pro. The keyboard's a bit tighter and I find it too easy to hit the up key instead of the Right shift key which is intently irritating. It's also not the most portable of notebooks given it's 3.2kg weight. However, this is offset...

Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200 - C 550 MHz - 13" DSTN by
pompyhelen
Advantages: great!!
Disadvantages: battery doesnt hold charge, power lead break easy, the speakers have blown after 7years
...this laptop is great, i have bought this for my fiance and my current also toshiba satellite range laptop, although the original battery has just died so that lasted 7years!! its been upgraded to highest spec and the cpu isnt as high as toshiba states its only a 450mhz soi not good for games or very fast on the internet.
apart from that its a very good laptop, very loyal for a 7year old laptop i love it.
it can have 320mb ram tops and a 20gb hdd so basic really, not alot i can say apart from the speakers have goner after 7years pmsl.
spare parts for this isnt that expensive thoug a battery is onlt 30 new and a lead 30 new and memory is 256mb for 20....

Toshiba Satellite Pro
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 - Pentium M 735 1.7 GHz - 15" TFT by
aj3001
Advantages: Fairly Cheap, stylish and looks good
Disadvantages: Battery life not amazing
...laptop, the only thing I didn't appreciate was all the stickers over the inside (to the left of the mouse pad), there is a "Desiged for XP" sticker, and "Intel Inside" sticker, one "Bundled with MS OneNote 2003" and a final "Surround Sound" which personally I dont like (hense I removed the last two)
I have recomended this laptop to other people who have been looking, Toshiba have many different spec's in the Satellite Pro models, and the final thing about this laptop, the name, "what laptop do you have?" There is nothing more I love saying then "a Satellite Pro"...

Toshiba Satellite Pro 4280XDVD
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro 4280 - PIII 500 MHz - 13.3" TFT by
Beeboystance
Advantages: very powerful fulfil's all your basic needs and then some
Disadvantages: screen can be annoying after a while, battery life only three hours.
...Toshiba are a very strong company in regards to their history of building notebooks. They are well established as robust and durable notebooks when dealing with business uses. The Toshiba I personally own I bought from ebay. It was extremely good value and I looked hard for a well specified machine. Buying direct from the Toshiba website would have actually cost me an additional $200 or so, and more importantly for a lower end machine. The beauty behind the Toshiba that I find makes it such a simple machine to use it comprise of basically three main aspects. The notebook comes with rescue disks that if everything goes wrong and you end up formatting the machine all teh factory defaults can be restored within an instant from the provided CD's. My machine came with Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows 98 SE. Giving me amazing...

Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-12i
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-12i - Pentium Dual Core T2370 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
invincible15
Advantages: Good value for money, 2 GB memory
Disadvantages: Graphics card
...Well Im using this laptop for 6 months now and I am still satisfies with my purchase. The 15"4 is good enough for me to watch movies although a 17" would be perfect. I think its great that it has a 2 GB memory so I can run Windows Vista as well as XP. The processor is is also enough for normal use with Intels dual core 1.73 GHz. Although the disk is not huge most users are going to be happy with 200 GB. The graphics are by Intel GMA X3100, which are solid, but nothing more, so all you heavy gamers might not choose, because of it. So dont expect this machine to be running Call of Duty 4 or similar games. But you definetly get a great design, with elegant lines and a combination of silver an black.
Anyways great value for what you get....

Quick and painless
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 - C 2.4 GHz - 15" TFT by
pwg04
Advantages: Everything you could ask for in a laptop.
Disadvantages: Sometimes sticky touchpad.
...I've had my Toshiba laptop for around 1 year now, I'm at university, and it has proven to be a Godsend for me. I only intended to purchase a fairly cheap laptop for educational purposes (really!), but this one was on offer through a Toshiba program available through the university. The model I bought didn't come with a CD/RW, but everything else mentioned in the specs provided is the same, and I haven't had a moments hassle with it at all.
DVD's are easy to watch, internet access is very smooth, smoother in fact than my home pc connection, Windows XP is included as standard, along with all its basic accessories. Modern games will play on this also, however higher spec games may well struggle. The only downside I could think of would be the basic word processor on offer (Wordpad), but this isn't too much of a problem, really. Also, I...
