Toshiba the supreme!
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A100-00I - Celeron M 440 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
djespa
Advantages: Amazing products exceptionally fast and super memory superb!
Disadvantages: None really little heavier than normal at 2.7kg
...This item is absoloutley amazing in terms of use, efficiency, power and aesthetics. Not only does it hold a powerful 1.86GHz to power all your multimedia, documents and music it gives you a spectacular 15.4''TFT screen to view them on with a crisp picture, especially with movies but also SRS Tru surround XT technology built in to give that ultimate in home theater experience. Compared to previous laptops from acer compaq and sony, I believe this is the best with a huge 80Gb hard drive to store all your favourite movies, pictures and music and 1Gb ram which can be upgraded but at 1Gb is enough I find to work speedily through everything in It also combines a built in 6 in 1 multimedia card reader which reads most of todays popular formats. The weight of the laptop I find isn't that heavy but yet is not that light at 2.7kg, For what it can...

Toshiba Satellite Pro
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 - Pentium M 735 1.7 GHz - 15" TFT by
aj3001
Advantages: Fairly Cheap, stylish and looks good
Disadvantages: Battery life not amazing
...laptop, the only thing I didn't appreciate was all the stickers over the inside (to the left of the mouse pad), there is a "Desiged for XP" sticker, and "Intel Inside" sticker, one "Bundled with MS OneNote 2003" and a final "Surround Sound" which personally I dont like (hense I removed the last two)
I have recomended this laptop to other people who have been looking, Toshiba have many different spec's in the Satellite Pro models, and the final thing about this laptop, the name, "what laptop do you have?" There is nothing more I love saying then "a Satellite Pro"...

What a laptop!
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15" TFT by
nemesis2004
Advantages: Cheap and Reliable
Disadvantages: Wireless connection not great
...The Toshiba L10 is one of the best budget laptops around, and for the price you pay, it offers so much to keep you busy.
The Toshiba L10 features an Intel Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz processor (400 MHz data bus) which can be upgraded to a faster Intel Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz should you choose to do so. I doubt you'd notice all that difference in speed and across the e-shops I've browsed there seems to be little difference price-wise between the 1.4 GHz and the 1.5 GHz models.
The notebook usually ships with either 256mb or 512mb ram, with about £30 difference in price between the two models. I opted in for the 512mb model and when comparing with my friend's 256mb version of the same system, I can safely say that I noticed a tremendous increase in general overall speed when using the computer. I'd recommend you go for the double ram. The RAM...

Toshiba Equium L20 -198
Review of Toshiba Equium L20-198 - Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz - 15" TFT by
pselby
Advantages: Lightweight & compact
Disadvantages: Low battery life, Rubbish sound, Low Ram
...This Laptop looked good on the shelf in the shop and performs quite well. It came with XP Home edition which I quickly upgraded to Pro and added Office 2003 as I don't like working with Microsoft Works which comes as standard. It has 3 USB2 ports and 2 PCMCIA slots along with the normal headphone, Microphone, External Monitor and of course the power socket. The on board RAM however was advertised as being 521Mb but when I set it up and started to play with it Discovered that the on board Graphics Borrows Some 64Mb of this so I added another 512Mb of Ram only to find that the another 64Mb had been borrowed. This was fine now though but I didn't notice any improvement of the graphics but I'm sure it did something. The L20 is 11g WIFI certified and this works exceptionally well connecting at distances where my previous laptop could not find...

Just on the line
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A100-01A - Celeron M 430 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
anshumadh
Advantages: Has media facility
Disadvantages: too heavy
...The functionality of this product is better than I thought. The keys on the keyboard are properly placed and easier to type.
Screen size is around 15.4 inch, and its non-reflective which makes it easier to look at even in broad day light.
Even though it has 1GB Ram memory, and Intel core 2 Due 1.6 GHz Processor, it tends to slow down or freeze up some time. The hard drive is 80 GB and can get filled quite quickly as i have noticed but it all depends on the user. once the hard drive is nearly full, the laptop tends to slow down even more.
when shutting down or restarting the laptop it takes quite along time also. overall it is a good laptop for a standard user but i would not recommend it to a user who needs it for professional use....

Toshiba Satellite Pro A100
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
yatyit14
Advantages: quite pretty, easy to use
Disadvantages: slow
...not be the model for you. As a brand Toshiba a good, i would recomend them even if you do not pick this model. There are 4 usb ports, you can use wireless internet and netweorking, it has a cd drive and apparently the ability to burn CDs and DVDs, but for some reason i havnt got mine working yet - this may just be me being stupid tho! I am not great with computer hardware, so there are lots more things that this model has that i wouldnt be able to explain,so sorry about that. The laptop is quite light compared to many other laptops. Overall, this laptop it good, if a bit slow....

Best budget machine by Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B1 - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
ZiaFarhan
Advantages: Cash back, looks, Broad, bright display; comfortable keyboard
Disadvantages: Unimpressive battery life
...I have never seen or used a Toshiba AMD based laptop that was better than this particular piece of kit
This is definately a budget machine which is a perfect desktop replacement with a sleek design and attractive display that would appeal.
Pros: Broad, bright display; comfortable keyboard, new measures that Toshiba has taken to insure quality and the look
Cons: Unimpressive battery life; glossy screen finish produces reflections;
Verdict: The inexpensive Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B1 laptop offers enough features and performance oomph for basic business tasks, but its AMD processor may disappoint hard-core multitaskers. Does not over warm up so thats good news for travellers like myself. Is very good value for money, looking at prices of different stores like Technoworld (by now you should all know it is my favourite...

Toshiba Satelite Pro
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 - C 2.5 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
deadlysirius
Advantages: Reliable, solid machine
Disadvantages: Overheats! Beware
...solution is to prop up the laptop so that the underside vent can suck enough cool air into the casing. I routinely prop up my laptop with a book. Its very effective but obviously not ideal!
In all other respects the machine is solid and reliable.
Specification

256MB RAM
40Gb Hitachi Hard drive

14.1 TFT
SoundMAX Digital Audio
Software
Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2.

Microsoft Office Onenote 2003 (tried it once, never bothered with it)
Toshiba Recovery Disks and utilites.
Buy if you wish but remember you'll have to prop it up to avoid overheating....

Toshiba Satellite L30-10X, solid if unspectacular
Review of Toshiba Satellite L30-10X - Celeron M 440 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
alfie2713
Advantages: Value for money. External looks
Disadvantages: Boring looking when open
...As a university student I felt it was highly recommended to have a laptop that could be taken to uni rather than having to wait till returning home to get work done. This Toshiba Satellite was chosen for the great value for money it appeared to offer, with the manufacturer Toshiba you expect a product that you know will deliver solid performance and this is no different. Easily picked up for just a few hundred pounds it comes equiped with everything you would expect from a top manufacturer, a high quality graphics card which makes it capable of playing many of todays higher end game. Built in wireless compatibilites make connecting to the internet outside the home easy and is easily as good as the sort of laptop that many people would pay hundreds of pounds for just for a few extra numbers in the product information whereas the change...
