Toshiba Satellite Pro A60
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 - Celeron D 335 2.8 GHz - 15" TFT by
scottergirdham
Advantages: Sturdy design Nice Blue colour Get a lot for your money
Disadvantages: Overheating/crashing problems experienced Memory upgrade was necessary Required a lot of tweaking to get 'right'
...The Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 laptop is ideal for entry level home users, and possibly students who have some time on their hands to sort stuff out. I wouldn't say it was suitable for the lower end of the business market, as Toshiba seem to be targeting with this product. I could be wrong however, maybe I was just unlucky!
I have had mine for 8 months now, after previous satellite old faithful, which I had owned for about 7 years, gave up the ghost in the middle of a project, and I needed a cheap laptop quickly. I was impressed by the blue design which veers away from the boring black/grey you're used to seeing on the budget end notebooks.
For the budget it was a toss up between this or a Dell, and in the end I decided to go for the Tosh which wasn't the bottom end of the scale like the Dell was for the same money.

Toshiba Satellite Pro
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 - Pentium M 735 1.7 GHz - 15" TFT by
aj3001
Advantages: Fairly Cheap, stylish and looks good
Disadvantages: Battery life not amazing
...my laptop, the only thing I didn't appreciate was all the stickers over the inside (to the left of the mouse pad), there is a "Desiged for XP" sticker, and "Intel Inside" sticker, one "Bundled with MS OneNote 2003" and a final "Surround Sound" which personally I dont like (hense I removed the last two)
I have recomended this laptop to other people who have been looking, Toshiba have many different spec's in the Satellite Pro models, and the final thing about this laptop, the name, "what laptop do you have?" There is nothing more I love saying then "a Satellite Pro"...

Toshiba SPM30
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 725 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
nigelcwm
Advantages: screen size, overall features
Disadvantages: price
...This review is for the Toshiba Satellite Pro m30 Harman Kardon styled laptop.I will not say what I paid as it was a special price and not generally available.
I have had this laptop for approx. 9 months.
I use this laptop mainly for wireless connection to the WWW from my lounge, I am writing this review on it now.
The first things I look for in a laptop or a desktop come to that is how it interfaces with me rather than performance. This laptop is good. The screen is 15".4" and is superb except when outdoors in the sun but then that is to be expected. There is quite a lot of brightness control to suit most people. The characters are clear and crisp, it is not as good as a high quality CRT monitor but that is also to be expected.
The keyboard is also good and although I am not a great fan of laptop keyboards I get on well...

Toshiba Satellite M30 - Good Lookin Machine
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 1.7 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
terence638l
Advantages: Fast, lots of features, easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with internal modem, infra red port has short range
...The Toshiba satellite m30 pro is a thin and sleek laptop matching the looks and requirements for todays busy and on the move users. It is literally a desktop computer packed into a small, light and easy to use 1.6GHZ, 60 Gb memory HDD and 512 MB RAM machine. I have found it not only easy to use but also fun and hassle free most of the time. (With most problems the occasional usual thing that you get with computers)
Features:
- dual Harman/kardon speakers
- Infrared port
- Wireless lan
- Internal Toshiba software modem
- Dvd-r burner
- Dvd player features (play, stop , etc buttons on the side of the laptop)
- IEEE port
- Serial port to add monitor
- Expansion card slot
- 3 USB ports
- Multiple settings for battery use. Can alter power settings to extend the life of the battery to its maximum approx 8 hours life

A pro in its time
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro P100-327 - Core 2 Duo T7400 2.16 GHz - 17" TFT by
xxsupergirlxo
Advantages: Good in its time
Disadvantages: Overtaken by newer, better models
...Firstly I will say that I have the Toshiba Satellite Pro P100-188 (I just looked at the bottom of my laptop hehe). It's been in my life for a good 3-4 years and I love it to bits. It's my faithful old laptop but I do regret that I may have to replace it soon, due to it just getting old, wear and tear and all that jazz. Well, here's my view on my lovely aged laptop.
I got old copper (my nickname for it because of its copper orange lid) for my birthday and I found the receipt in my mum's emails (I was and still am a terror for reading emails!) for somewhere way over £1000, this was when the satellite pro was a top of the range laptop and laptops were a lot more expensive. It's a Toshiba so naturally it's very good quality and I haven't had one problem with this laptop.
It runs on Windows XP which is a great OS but it has a little...

Toss out this Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite 1800-204 - C 1 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
funphobic2
Advantages: Compact, good hard drive space and processing speed
Disadvantages: Its durability, and has become out-dated
...I’ve never really been interested in laptops, I’m more of a desktop girl myself, but when moving to university 3 years ago and having to live in a studio flat, my desktop just took up too much space. So I needed a laptop. Unfortunately, I had spent a lot of my loan on clothes and holiday’s (as you do!) so I had to find something on the cheaper side. Luckily I know a little about computers and knew pretty much what I needed; something compact, but with good processing speed and a large hard drive. So I went about my laptop shopping….
***Why I chose Toshiba***
I popped into the Dixons in Watford and they had a couple of ex-display models on sale. I came across a Toshiba satellite 1800-204. I noticed a few people had a Toshiba Satellite notebook, and so it caught my eye immediately. It was made in 1999, and basic specs include...

Toshiba Satellite Pro 4280XDVD
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro 4280 - PIII 500 MHz - 13.3" TFT by
Beeboystance
Advantages: very powerful fulfil's all your basic needs and then some
Disadvantages: screen can be annoying after a while, battery life only three hours.
...Toshiba are a very strong company in regards to their history of building notebooks. They are well established as robust and durable notebooks when dealing with business uses. The Toshiba I personally own I bought from ebay. It was extremely good value and I looked hard for a well specified machine. Buying direct from the Toshiba website would have actually cost me an additional $200 or so, and more importantly for a lower end machine. The beauty behind the Toshiba that I find makes it such a simple machine to use it comprise of basically three main aspects. The notebook comes with rescue disks that if everything goes wrong and you end up formatting the machine all teh factory defaults can be restored within an instant from the provided CD's. My machine came with Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows 98 SE. Giving me amazing...

This lap is perfectly adequate for all my need and for my needs there is nothing else with the RAM, speed ect that I feel could be improved for my uses.
