Typical Toshiba
Advantages: Ease of use, memory capacity
Disadvantages: Quality, feel, value for money
...The Toshiba Satellite L500 is the same as most other toshiba laptops. It looks stylish and can do all the basic functions that you would want for a laptop. However, when you use it, you dont feel very comfortable because it feels very cheap. The keyboard is very flimsy and feels like it is about to break every time you type something and the mouse pad and buttons do not respond well. However, the number pad on the right hand side of the keyboard is great as it makes it so easy to type numbers. You can buy this laptop with a range of processors and sizes of harddrive so you can choose the one which suits you best. The display is actually very good but the battery life could have been improved. On my model it will last for a maximum of 2.5 hours on its lowest power setting.
Overall, this laptop is reasonable at most things but not...

Toshiba SD-P1600
Advantages: Well made, good features, light weight, plays all discs.
Disadvantages: Battery looks like an after thought.
...There are many portable DVD players on the market but this compact little device from Toshiba takes a lot of beating. Compared to the competition its not the cheapest on the market but it is one of the best. Its 9" screen may look small but it is of great quality & handles all movies I have watched on it without any compromises.
The top mounted DVD lid is hinged from the rear making loading & unloading discs very easy. A simple on/off switch is situated on the left hand side with the volume control on the opposite side along with two headphone sockets, AV in/out & the main power lead socket. All other controls are to the right of the lid, these include the usual ones for skipping scenes/tracks, menu, mode, set-up etc.
The controls take more pressure to operate than I would have expected & I feel that the control buttons for fast...

Toshiba SD-260 DVD Player
Advantages: Looks good, easy to use, good value for money
Disadvantages: No disc resume feature
...The first thing you notice with this Toshiba SD-260 DVD Player is that it looks good, it's silver, think and looks modern and stylish. The height is 43.8 mm, width is 421 mm and the depth is 260 mm and it weighs 2.3 kg, which is fairly light. On the front it has a tray on the left, which is hidden and on the right it has 6 buttons - eject, stop, play/pause, fast forward, rewind and power. When the power button is on it lights up blue. In the middle of the player there is an LCD display where the timings and chapters of the DVD are displayed.
I decided to buy this DVD Player as it was a Toshiba, who are a respectable electronics manufacturer, so I thought I would be safe buying the product from them, and I have not been dissappointed. I have had this DVD Player for a year now and have had no problems, apart from loosing...

Toshiba Equium
Advantages: Value For money
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...

Toshiba DVD player SD370
Advantages: Upscaling ability, picture quality is exceptional - 5 stars
Disadvantages: DVD tray wont like small children poking fingers in!
...What HiFi gave this player 5 star rating commenting that it believed Toshiba had shot itself in the foot by producing such a good player at such a cheap price, even comparing it £200 players.
On this basis alone, I bought one.
Firstly, it is exceptionally slimline, Victoria Beckham would love it. But that aside, do not be put off by the price tag, The finish of this player is good. If you have small children then perhaps the DVD tray is somewhat thin and frail and will not take kindly to heavy handed children or adults, for that matter. This aside, however, the optical result are exceptional. I have to keep smiling when I realise how little this player costs.
The ability to scale up DVD's to 1080i works very well with the colours becoming richer and the definition becoming much more pinsharp - all in a player that costs so little. I...

Advantages: 'Toshiba Brand Name' Multi Region capability
Disadvantages: No On Board DTS/Dolby Digital Decoder
...I bought the Toshiba SD330E DVD player 3 Months ago.

Toshiba or not Toshiba DVD is the question
Advantages: Excellent picture quality and they are lowering in price and are simple to use ans set up
Disadvantages: DVD disc's are a little to expensive although they will probably lower in price as the revolutioon takes off
...no tuning was required, but I was till unsure what to do with it as I had never used a scart cable, and in the instructions it does not mention that scart is an automatic tuner, that was only pit fall about the instructions that I have found. So I connected the cable turned on the DVD and instantly a message appeared on the TV welcoming me to DVD by Toshiba, amazing or what I thought. That then gave me my next worry, I tried to change channels but it automatically goes back to your scart channel, I referred back to instructions and this is where I found out that it automatically goes to scart when DVD is on full power, to get back to normal TV just put it on standby, as simple as that that was my DVD player fully installed almost as easy as the kettle.
Now on to the features!
Picture Quality:
The qualities of DVD movies are simply...

Save up some dosh to buy this Tosh...iba
Advantages: Fast, Portable, Comfortable and Sleek, HD Resolution, Toshiba support is brilliant!
Disadvantages: Awful grapics card, Not very durable, Speaker volume isn't fab...
...that law legal. So the laptop, it's got plenty of positives and only a few negatives. And if you've read my other reviews, I like to get the negatives out of the way first.
NEGATIVES
I'll get straight to the point, the graphics card is seriously bad, there's no way around it. It's a new thing where your computers RAM is used to power some of the graphics, like video and pictures. However this won't work with high-end games like the Call of Duty series or Crysis. This however, isn't a laptop you'd buy if you were wanting one for gaming, so it's not a major draw back. Another bad point is the durability, which isn't great. The lid can be pushed in, revealing it is fairly hollow apart from the screen and its components. I thought this a bit stupid as Toshiba are just wasting money making more material, why not just make it thin and tight guys...

Review of Toshiba SD330E DVD Player
Advantages: multi region feature, excellent audio and video quality
Disadvantages: manual supplied had no english section
...Within the last 2 years I have purchased two other DVD players in the Toshiba range, an SD210E and an SD110E. The range-topping SD330E was purchased for its multi-region capability which is essential if playing DVDs from abroad. A multi-standard (NTSC/PAL) TV is another essential component for a small home cinema system based upon the SD330E. I use a small, 13 inch, Sharp LCD TV which is stacked with a whole range of features including automatic NTSC/PAL switching.
Curiously the SD330E bears very little physical resemblance to its predecessors. It is the same width and depth of its cousins but only two-thirds the height. The most striking difference between the models is in the weight of the SD330E, which, thanks to switch-mode technology used in the design of the power supply, is very light and creates an immediate, first...
