...The Toshiba Satellite L500 is the same as most other toshiba laptops. It looks stylish and can do all the basic functions that you would want for a laptop. However, when you use it, you dont feel very comfortable because it feels very cheap. The keyboard is very flimsy and feels like it is about to break every time you type something and the mouse pad and buttons do not respond well. However, the number pad on the right hand side of the keyboard is great as it makes it so easy to type numbers. You can buy this laptop with a range of processors and sizes of harddrive so you can choose the one which suits you best. The display is actually very good but the battery life could have been improved. On my model it will last for a maximum of 2.5 hours on its lowest power setting. ...The Toshiba 37XV635DB has a lot of features for the price of £550 which in my opinion makes it really good value for money for a branded good looking LCD TV. I like the glossy Toshiba styling and thin frame. This TV has 100hz meaning you get a smooth nice flowing picture and with full hd 1080p & upscaling of freeview and hdmi inputted content this is a great sharp quality TV. The TV has 4 hdmi ports which is more than enough for a blu-ray player, ps3 and sky+ hd. It also has an impressive battery life, in a recent car journey, I found it lasted about 3 and 3/4 hours, easily enough time for all of the film I was watching as well as some of another. It is available in two versions, Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP Home., but the Linux has 512Mb of RAM and an 80Gb hard disk, the Windows one has 1Gb of RAM and a 120Gb drive. I personally own the windows version, since I know more about the operating system and prefer the high memory levels.
