Almost perfect
Review of Toshiba Satellite X200-20S - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 17.1" TFT by
thewhitewolf
Advantages: Sound quality just takes you there, a giant screen!
Disadvantages: Contrast needs to be beefed up on screen. very expensive
...I saw this at a friends house the other day and had a go to test out his assertions that this was the best mainstream gaming laptop on the market. Other than the amazing looks of the laptop, the first thing that struck me was the giant 17 inch screen that just asks to be looked at.
It's a TruBrite display screen from toshiba that does give tremedous visual output in sheer colour tones and contrast. I was surprised that it worked so well when the graphics were at their maximum, but then this is a gaming machine people!
It has enough RAM to get you started at 2 GB and my mate upgraded this easily to 8 GB, meaning his laptop was extraordinarily fast. A quick Core 2 Duo T7300 processor ensures that the games are perfecto!. It has an okay 160 GB of hard drive space and that would be enough for about 20 large PC games, though i wouldn...

Slim Toshiba DVD player performs well
Review of Toshiba SD340E by
bowdeni
Advantages: Multi Region, Good picture, slim, durable
Disadvantages: No Scart, not a recorder
...could find slimmer DVD players, many will comprimise on picture and sound quality. The Toshiba SD340E is a DVD player that will look asethically pleasing under a TV.
I already antiscipated that the Toshiba SD340E would not contain a scart lead and bought a fairly decent £20 one myself. You can pick them up much cheaper, but I would recommend that when using a DVD player the quality of the Toshiba SD340E , I'd suggest spending about the same as me, the difference is apparent. So how does the Toshiba SD340E perform? Very well is the answer, and considerably better than cheaper DVD players. 'What hifi' even suggest that the Toshiba SD340E performs aswell as £200 DVD players, so the quality is assured. The colour is natural, and provides a picture with deep darks and much clarity. Audio wise, the Toshiba SD340E performs just aswell. I have...

Toshiba A200 - 195
Review of Toshiba Satellite A200-195 Laptop by
JJS77
Advantages: Light, Fast, Looks nice, Reliable, Value.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have a built in webcam or Bluetooth connectivity.
...with the good value. After going through the specifications on the Toshiba website, which I might add is very easy to compare the differences between their laptops and is really quite helpful, I settled on an A200 series, as the new A210 series is based on AMD's processors and currently Intel's processors (CPU's) are a lot better at power management, thus give a longer battery life. This is the only difference between the A200 and A210 series.
I had settled on one of the A200's, however as it is a laptop and I need to really be able to feel the weight of it, as I am not good at judging weights from a kilogram measure on a website, I went to various high street shops to see and have a quick play on the Toshiba A200's. I went to PC World, Dixons, Currys etc, all the staff seemed to echo the reviews I had read on the internet about Toshiba being one...

Toshiba Satellite M30 - Good Lookin Machine
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 1.7 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
terence638l
Advantages: Fast, lots of features, easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with internal modem, infra red port has short range
...The Toshiba satellite m30 pro is a thin and sleek laptop matching the looks and requirements for todays busy and on the move users. It is literally a desktop computer packed into a small, light and easy to use 1.6GHZ, 60 Gb memory HDD and 512 MB RAM machine. I have found it not only easy to use but also fun and hassle free most of the time. (With most problems the occasional usual thing that you get with computers)

To Infinity and Beyond, Toshiba R200 Laptop
Review of Toshiba Portege R200 - Pentium M 753 1.2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by
skrg28
Advantages: Build Quality, Light, Small
Disadvantages: None as yet
...to the small screen but I have no had any woes there either. Leaving it running for hours on end seems to have no effect, no noisy fans and no excessive heat.
If you dig one of these out in the aiport lounge then your a god.
The one that really got me was the warranty. You get a full 3 year manufacturers warranty with the latop, something you would normally have to pay extra for from other manufacturers. Toshiba suppor is always 2nd to none for laptops. You also get a full set of manuals already installed on the PC along with a variety of backup applications that run on your behalf.

Toss out this Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite 1800-204 - C 1 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
funphobic2
Advantages: Compact, good hard drive space and processing speed
Disadvantages: Its durability, and has become out-dated
...and a picture guide for those (like myself) who don’t have the patience to read through all of the written guides.
***Support***
I’ve never needed to call Toshiba about anything as my brother is extremely computer literate, but I’ve heard mainly positive comments about the Toshiba technical support system. If you did lose any info or drivers, browse through the website to download the drivers.
http://uk.computers.toshibaeurope.com/cgibin/ToshibaCSG/csgnationalentrypage.jsp?service=UK&from=http%3A//www.toshiba.co.uk/
***Overall advantages***
The biggest pro’s for the laptop are its design; Firstly, it is light. At 2.6kg (including battery), which is ideal for taking to work or university. Along with the power adapter and the bag, it comes to about 3.1kg in total. Overall size is 31.7 x 27.9. x 3.9 cm quite small compared with some...
