My cosy tot loves her Cosy Tot
Review of Britax Cosy Tot by  skyelass2003

Advantages: Comfort for baby
Disadvantages: Awkwardness of getting seatbelt released

...My daughter was born in December so when I was getting my hospital bag ready, I dug out my old Britax Rock-a-tot from under the stairs. Unfortunately I hadn't sealed the bags it was packed in and it had become damp and mouldy so I had no option but to buy a new one. I looked online for a new rock-a-tot, but it looked like they had been superceded by the cosy tot. In my opinion, the Britax brand is reliable, durable, and high quality. My Rock-a-tot had been used not only by my 2 older children, but also by my nephew and would still have looked as good as new, had it not been for our damp cupboard! My next stage car seat, currently being used by my toddler, is also a Britax and has been used constantly for the last 5 years by both her and her older brother. Despite several washes in the machine, with the exception of a little bit... Read review

rock-a-tot baby
Review of Britax Rock-A-Tot by  SleepyDormouse

Advantages: cosy and secure for newborns. Safe
Disadvantages: babies outgrow it fast

...When you have a brand new baby one of your foremost thoughts is for their safety, and for me getting the safest car seat I could find was very important. I did as much research as I could and finally decided that Britax had the best safety records. Originally I wanted a car seat that was both forward and rearward facing (club class) but this wouldn't fit into out Fiesta as the back seat seatbelts are too short. So we opted for the Rock-a-Tot. The Company: Britax -------------------- As I said, I believe Britax to be one of the safest producers of car seats. This belief comes from reading parents comments on websites like this, magazines reviews and Which car seat safety reports. It is a very established company, and most parents will have heard of them. They make an extensive range of car seats, starting with infant... Read review

Britax Rock a Tot.
Review of Britax Rock-A-Tot by  lisamesz

Advantages: very useful
Disadvantages: pricey

...I bought i britax rock a tot for my first child four years ago i think it cost around £50. I bought it purely for the car and was pleased because i didn't have to use it just in the car. It helped with lots of different situations. I had problems getting my baby off to sleep as she prefered to be rocked and snuggled up rather than be led down totally flat on her back. To save the old aching arms i used to put her in her car seat and rock her to sleep in it, while she was very young. Any way more to the point now. The britax rock a tot has a curved bottom, perfect for rocking your young one to sleep in. You can also move the carry handle down behind the back to support the seat and keep it still, so as to stop it rocking, which you must do when using in the car for saftey. I also found it very easy to install in the car... Read review

Rock a Tot
Review of Britax Rock-A-Tot by  Angel-food

Advantages: light weight
Disadvantages: small size

...We bought the Britax Rock - a Tot Car Seat for our daughter, We bought it towards the end of my pregnancy, what attracted me to this car seat/carrier is the seat was covered in tiny pairs of seat, At the Time we bought it in Babies r Us they had there sale and we Bought it for around £50. Fitting was not really a concern of ours as both myself and my partner does not drive so we needed for coming home from hospital and trips in taxis. This was the best little seat we found as it was Light and Easy to use and Seemed very strong. The Covers are fully removable and washable, and comes with a sun cover and cosy toes all in he matching little feet, It has a harness which is really easy to adjust. You can pick up the Rock a Tot from all larger baby boutiques and stores such as Babies r us and mothercare Ranging from £50 -£100... Read review

The Seat That's Big on Safety
Review of Britax Cosy Tot by  rosefamilypsol

Advantages: Big on safety, robust, well made.
Disadvantages: Relatively expensive, not too easy to clean

...in and take her out of the car, especially by using the nice big carry handle(even now baby is 5 months old and 15lbs). OK, on a brighter note, outside the car, the seat has a handily curved base for rocking. This is ideal for those moments when baby is a bit irritable. Its also quite handy for using as an early feeder but I'm not too convinced the materials are easy to clean. Carrying the seat is quite easy. It has a nice strong robust carry handle, which folds back to make getting baby out of the seat easier and so that she doesn’t knock her head as you lift her out. Also when required this handle folds right back to the floor to stop the seat from rocking. The cost varies but is around £80 - £90. I personally have the Cosy Tot Premium but that was because Mothercare didn’t have any of the normal CosyTots in stock. For this extra... Read review

Britax Rock-a-tot
Review of Britax Rock-A-Tot by  julouise

Advantages: useful, hard wearing and cleans well
Disadvantages: Nothing

...After a 5 year gap between the middle and youngest child I was amazed at how much even baby car seats have changed. We spent alot of time and traipsing around shops to choose a car seat that would be suitable in our car, looked comfortable for the baby to be in, sturdy as it would get alot of pounding from our elder two and the price. I found the Britax Rock-a-tot in electric blue colourway and I fell in love. We knew we were having a boy so I wanted something bright and eye-catching and this certainly did. It was strong and although it was quite light to carry I found it not ideal to carry for long periods of time. It fitted like a glove in the front seat of our car. Luckily we did not have airbags in the passenger side as it did state on the fitting instructions not to be used with airbags. I found the handle very easy... Read review

Stylish safety
Review of Hauck Disney Carry Tot Car Seat by  piggypine

Advantages: Nice looking, secure seat
Disadvantages: Can roll if not fitted correctly

...Despite having a perfectly good condition first stage car seat, left over from my son, when my daughter was born my family decided as a surprise to buy me a new seat, we knew that I was having a girl and when my husband came to pick me up on the morning after I had given birth he produced a gorgeous, brand new pink car seat just for our little girl. The Minnie Flower Carry Tot Car Seat- Coming in a vivid pink design the Minnie Flower is suitable for babies in group 0+, or up to approximately 13kg (28.66lb) Advice varies on what cars seats to use for what size, age group etc…. the general idea is that a first stage seat is suitable until 9-12 months of age, as the babies spine cannot handle the force from a crash in a forward facing car seat and naturally a rear facing seat is best until they are at least 12 months old, however... A versatile first car seat
Review of Britax Rock-A-Tot by  POPPY

Advantages: versatile and ideal for cars with shorter seat belts
Disadvantages: None

...When my daughter was born we had the task of choosing a first stage car seat. Being the first of our friends to have a child we had no idea which would be the best and having a Volvo car (shorter seatbelts) we knew we would be limited in our choice of seat. The car seat I liked the look of the most was the Rock a Tot made be Britax. It is rear facing and a group O+ seat which can be used from birth to 12/15 months. It has a carry handle which can be adjusted to stabilise the carseat which I found excellent when weaning my daughter when she was too small for a high chair. With the handle in the upright positon it can be used as a rocker. My daughter loved this car seat and it fitted in our Volve perfectly. The fact that the cover could be removed for washing was a great idea and with it's one pull harness it is quick and easy to fit... Read review

Good price, Good car seat, Good sense
Review of Cosatto Le Mans Baby Car Seat by  Xyanthe

Advantages: A good straight forward, stylish, reclining car seat at a good price.
Disadvantages: None

...When my daughter was beyond carrying in the Britax Rock-a-Tot, (see previous opinion), it was time to go in search for a suitable next stage car seat. After looking in “Mothercare” and “Toys R Us“, to see if and what offers were on (well, you have to don’t you - anything to make it easier on the pocket. If only, baby essentials were cheaper!), we finally decided on the Cosatto Le Mans Car Seat - £49.99 from “Argos“. This seat can be used for children from birth up to approximately 4 years old (18kg/40lbs), so this can be used as a rearward facing seat to start with and then when the child is about 9 months old, then it can be used forward facing. It has a five point integral harness, which is something that we wanted for extra safety and security, and felt that this should be a standard... Read review

Good second stage car seat
Review of Maxi Cosi Priori Toddler Car Seat by  clrushton

Advantages: Easy to fit, adjustable, good price
Disadvantages: changing the height of the straps is difficult

...I bought this brand of car seat once my child had out grown his rock-a-tot baby seat. I chose this car seat because it was recommended for my car, looked smart and was a good price. The seat feels very sturdy, it has side impact protection system and four different seat positions which allows baby to be in a more reclining position when sleeping. The instruction booklet for the car seat takes a little time to understand but to fit the seat you really just need some common sense. The main issue I have had with the seat is changing the height of the shoulder strap which was incredibly tricky and difficult to start with, though once I had worked out the basics it was relatively quick to complete. I have found this car seat to be very good, easy to move from one car to another and it is easy to get my little boy into and out of... Read review
