...receive help with the cost of your eye care like I do being a student, then you can have these lenses instead of glasses. There is also no hidden cost of cleaning solutions to look after them. The only other thing I have bought are artificial tears to stop them irritating on the very rare occasion they do and that’s only really when your in a smoked atmosphere. You can also swim in these lenses so no more sprinkled with water glasses in the pool. I can also play other sports without the risk of my glasses being in the way or getting broken. Go on try them out. So there you have it I think you must have gathered that this particular sort of contact lens gets my vote any day. ...use my contact lenses, which is getting less and less now I have purchased a rather trendy pair of glasses but I still keep the prescription going so I can choose to wear either my glasses or the lenses. The solution is used for both cleaning the lenses before use and for storing the lenses in the plastic lens holder over night. To clean the lenses the directions for use is that you wash and dry your hands carefully before putting the lens into the palm of your hand and them dropping a few drops of this solution on top of the lens. You then need to rub gently both sides of the lens to clean off any dirt for about 15 to 20 seconds. This is all pretty basic stuff and is very easy to do. I was still dubious, however, about keeping a lens in my eye for this amount of time - having only just recovered from an awful bout of keratitis (scratched lens) that needed hospital treatment, I was concious of how dangerous contact lens' could be if left in too long. I went into a specsavers optician and asked about the new lens. They explained that the new 'Night and Day' lens' were highly oxygenated owing to the fact that they had far more duffusion possible through them. ...I wear gas permeable contact lenses and bought this as a daily cleaner to try as I had been getting 'blotches' on my lenses which my usual daily cleaner was not shifting. I bought this from Boots, but it is available in most supermarkets also. The price was just under £5, so compared to my usual daily cleaner which is normally just under £7 I thought I would give it a go. The cleaner is a very thin liquid, almost like water, and I felt I had to squirt a lot of this product out to create enough lubrication in my hand to coat the lens. I did not like that the lens felt like unprotected against my skin and it was as though I was cleaning the lens with water, as there seemed no substance to this cleaner. ...for me. If you wear contact lenses, there are a few things you have to be careful doing to avoid losing them! One particular activity is going for a swim. A quick splash or opening your eyes underwater can mean waving a premature goodbye to your lenses. Of course, this is also true when you are having a shower or a bath. So far I have been lucky but I nearly lost them a few times just because I forgot to be careful. The only time I had real irritation was when I'd been on a beach and the sand blew in my eyes (my fault, sunglasses would have helped). Thankfully, I had a small bottle of cleaning solution and a lens case which sorted out the discomfort. Since then, there has been the odd day when my eyes feel dry or there is a little discomfort. ...! This had better be good. Once I was home I opened the little box it was in and there was a small leaflet inside with the tiny bottle of solution. The leaflet gives some information on your choosen bottle of eye drops. I'll just high-light the main points, its gives a brief description of the type of eye drop it is - a lubricant eye drop for wearers of all types of contact lenses. Directions for use - wash your hands, place one or two drops in each eye (avoid touching eye with dropper tip) and blink several times. You can also apply a few drops to each lens before insertion. I thought this could be quite handy as there have been times when I've been out and about and one of my lenses has been irritating, causing me to wink and squint at sometimes total strangers. ...Since my wisdom teeth came through a few years ago, I've had nothing but trouble with one particular tooth, it has only pushed halfway up and doesn't want to come through anymore, so I kept getting infections in there no matter how well I brushed! ...Firstly i have to start by saying i love this mouthwash! After using this your mouth feels extremely clean. I find that it even tastes like something you would use at the dentist, it is quite strong so not for those who don't like a strong minty taste, if you are one of those kind of people i would reccomend a cooler mouthwash such as theothers in the listerine range. I started using listerine total care after seeing the advert saying it has 6 benefits in 1 and as i sometimes scratch my gums with my toothbrush i thought i would give it a try to make them stronger. And i have to say that honsetly it has done the trick. No more weak gums and extremely clean teeth and fresh breath.
