...Tots bots are one of the many reusable cloth nappies available as an alternative to disposables. Tots Bots are made by a family owned company from Glasgow, Scotland but are widely available from cloth nappy internet sites and have won many awards. I particulary like Tots because they are made from thick terry but are shaped to fit unlike the basic square terry nappy which requires folding. In fact, the Tots is made up of layers of terry and has a sewn in fold out booster which increases absorbency but reduces drying time. The fold out booster can be folded where necessary to suit either a boy or a girl. Please bear in mind that Tots need to be used with a wrap. ...I was delighted recently to watch Tots TV again for the first time in a good few years! Originally broadcasted on ITV at around 3.30pm, it has now been changed to CBeebies at 8.20am! Ooohhh! I am so pleased!! Tots TV was created by Anne Wood, (Yes, the same Anne Wood as brought us Boohbahs, Teletubbies, Brum and Rosie and Jim!) and written by Robin Stevens, who also plays the character Tom, and by Andrew Davenport, who plays Tiny. Between the three of them, they really seem to tune in to what makes children laugh, whilst still teaching them something! Tots TV was the first mainstream children's programme in Britain to feature a different language. In the UK Tilly speaks French and in the US version she speaks Spanish. ...went into my nearest Woolworth's and bought myself a bag of Jelly Tots. The last time I consumed one of these sweets was when I was still young enough to travel on my mum's passport. I don't think I really liked them see. Anyway they come in a handy little snack size bag of about 42grams. I am not sure if they are available in larger bags. However I can tell you that one of these snack size bags costs between 30p and 40p. So it will not break the bank. The bag is bright orange and so is very eye-catching. The "Rowntrees" logo takes up most of the front of the bag. Underneath it in purple letters is the phrase "Jelly Tots" and the 'o' is actually a smiley face. ...My daughter was born in December so when I was getting my hospital bag ready, I dug out my old Britax Rock-a-tot from under the stairs. Unfortunately I hadn't sealed the bags it was packed in and it had become damp and mouldy so I had no option but to buy a new one. I looked online for a new rock-a-tot, but it looked like they had been superceded by the cosy tot. In my opinion, the Britax brand is reliable, durable, and high quality. My Rock-a-tot had been used not only by my 2 older children, but also by my nephew and would still have looked as good as new, had it not been for our damp cupboard! ...What they are: Tot's bots are a very popular cloth nappy system. The nappies are available in unbleached or white, as well as a limited amount of colours, known as Rainbow Tots. hey are made of some of the softest, fluffiest terry towelling I have ever come across, and I have to say they were so soft and cuddly, I fell deeply in love. They are a shaped nappy, so no folding, and you have a choice of getting the sort that fastens with aplix or the sort you can fasten with pins or the modern nappy nippa that has msotly replaced pins! ...As a newcomer to cloth nappies, I did the sensible thing (or not) - tried folded terries, then rushed out and bought the first nappies I found online. Then I did my research. The nappies I'd bought were prefolds, and didn't suit my little lady's shape. I knew that I wanted something like a terry, but without the work of teaching my partner to fold! After lots of reading I decided Tots Bots sounded good for me, so I ordered my white tots bots (thick, good for night time), and my rainbow bots (thinner, and more slimline for daytime use).
