HTC touch dual?
Review of HTC Touch Dual by
Pukingherbert
Advantages: large library of programs for download
Disadvantages: No Wifi, Camera poor, touch screen for stylus not fingers.
...The HTC Touch dual is a slick PDA/mobile phone, made of mostly a black rubbery plastic lined around the outside with a silver plastic. The case contains 3 hardware buttons, a touch pad and touch sensitive screen. The case can slide out to reveal a 16 button keypad. On the back is a 2 mega pixels camera without flash.
The HTC touch dual runs on Windows mobile 6.0 which comes with many useful programs, such as Word mobile, Excel Mobile etc. There are also many programs that can be downloaded from the internet for free or for a small fee. However, like my experience with most Microsoft software there are times when the phone will crash or slow to a halt.
The touch screen is good and mostly responds well when using the stylus. However, when using your finger the story is a different matter. Most of the buttons on windows mobile 6.0 are too...

HTC Touch Dual
Review of HTC Touch Dual by
mystik
Advantages: Versatile, fast, small, very customisable
Disadvantages: Average 2MP camera, no WIFI, no built in GPS, poor speaker
...The Touch Dual is a flexible Windows Mobile 6 based phone that combines the features of a larger PDA into a very small mobile phone form factor yet the screen managed to feel large enough for showing friends your pictures or for surfing the web at broadband speed using HSDPA. The 2MP camera, lack of GPS built in and lack of WIFI are the main weaknessess, oh and the speaker is pretty poor quality making playing music and taking calls on handsfree a less than exciting experience. I changed from a Nokia N95 as I found the N95 sluggish. The Touch is lightening fast at opening applications and for those familiar with Windows and wanting to synchronise their calendars and contacts with Outlook can do so very very easily, a MicroSD slot means your never going to run out space for storing contacts, texts, emails etc. The exterior has a nice...

Alcatel one touch Club DB Brilliant
Review of Alcatel One Touch Club by
Ciren
Advantages: easy for all ages and great for hard of hearing
Disadvantages: none that I have found so far
...This phone is available on Vodafone pre pay (all calls and smartstep), it is also available on Virgin and one 2 one as the Max DB and one touch easy DB respectively.
It is, as the DB implies a dual band phone, fully data/fax compatible and comes complete with a speaker phone.
The menu system is very simple to use, so carrying the instruction book around is not necessary. One small anomoly is that the "allcalls" instruction book tells you how to set up the hotkeys while the smartstep one doesn't - I know as we bought my Mum in law one and we compared the instruction books!! It is easily done though by scrolling to "numbers" scroll down to "keypad" press the softkey scroll to the hotkey you want 1-9 press the softkey again, enter the name and phone number, or select one from your phonebook, and then press the softkey again...

Ready or not, here comes the Dual Effect
Review of Crest Spinbrush DUAL Effect by
ElapsedSpiral
Advantages: Leaves mouth feeling very clean, power doesn't greatly reduce over time
Disadvantages: A little too powerful at first, ugly colour, impractical design
..., and also, they're hard to give up once you swap. You'll find yourself trying to press buttons on a manual brush if you ever go back!
I had been using an electric toothbrush for at least a year when I saw the Crest Spin Brush Dual Effect on offer in Boots and decided I should give it a go.
Whilst not my favourite brush, it has certainly been memorable using it so far.
To Begin:
This is a small step up from the average electric brush for two reasons.
Two buttons control the motion of the brush. The main control, a large well shaped button almost the size of a thumb pad is pushed up easily for continuous use, and down to stop. The other, smaller button is located in the middle of the first one, and must be held down to operate it.
The other advantage would be in the name itself: the brush has both the usual rotating circular set...

ASRock 775Dual-VSTA
Review of ASRock 775DUAL-VSTA - motherboard - ATX - PT880 Ultra by
nemesis2004
Advantages: Ready for future technologies
Disadvantages: No temperature monitoring hardware, BIOS flashing only works on windows
...ASROCK 775Dual-VSTA Motherboard
- Introduction -
A motherboard is an integral part to any computer. It connects all of your hardware together and performs a multitude of tasks therefore it is vital that when you come to build or upgrade your computer you choose a motherboard that is appropriate for your needs and existing hardware.
**
I have written a review on ciao for a compatible processor, the Pentium D 950 which works nicely with this motherboard and covers further details such as the installation of CPUs.
**

Boots No7 Daily V Dual Action Eye Make-Up Remover
Review of Boots No.7 Dual-Action Eye Make-up Remover by
cerysm
Advantages: Good bottle design.
Disadvantages: Doesn't remove waterproof mascara very effectively.
...You might have seen my recent review on another Boots branded eye make-up remover. I mentioned that when I received a free Boots voucher to spend, I couldn't decide between that remover and another one - Boots No7 Daily V Dual Action Eye Make-Up Remover. I opted for the other one, and although I was really pleased with it, when I received another free voucher to spend (I shop in Boots a lot!), I thought that I would give this one a try, so that I could compare the two eye make-up removers.
Boots No7 Daily V Dual Action Eye Make-Up Remover comes in a rectangular plastic bottle which is 13cm high and just over 4cm wide.
The lid is as wide as the bottle, and is made of white plastic. It has the No7 logo on it, on a gold plate. When you take off the lid, you can see that the neck of the bottle is 2cm wide, however a plastic insert...

Scan Dual II: older but still able
Review of Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II by
querth
Advantages: High quality scans, aps capable
Disadvantages: Slow compared to newer models, noisy
...I've had a Scan Dual II for over a year now, in that time it has performed well without any hardware faults.
Its maximum resolution of 2820dpi (dots per inch) yields TIF files (Tagged Image Format - a file format which compresses only slightly but retains full image quality) of around 30mb. The scans it produces are generally very sharp with good colour. However I've found it does tend to exaggerate the grain of the film slightly.
The scanner comes complete with holders for mounted and un-mounted slides. These holders slot into the scanner with the film horizontal and so form a perfect platform for dust to settle on. This scanner has none of the Digital ICE technologies which are nowadays commonplace so invest in a blower brush if you want to avoid spending ages in Photoshop removing specks of dust!
The mounted slide holder...

Duel to the death with this dual
Review of Dual DRF 2810 by
Cheesychip1
Advantages: Great picture, very simple to use
Disadvantages: Massive and heavey
...Dual colour TV or not TV?
When I first got home with my new flat screened monster, I attemped with a friend to get it through the door and into our front room. We bought it at special offer from comet with a new TV stand. After quickly erecting the stand we hoisted up the TV on top. Then we pluuged it in and let it work its magic. It took an average amout of time to search for the terestrial TV chanels.
As soon as we had adjusted the settings to how we wanted we both admired the picture quality. I suppose you would expect it from a bus type TV like this but the picture was and still is superb and a nice crisp crackle free sound.
But the real question is "Is this a TV or a just a Big box?"
TV Facts
RCA: Yes 1 on right side
AV: 2 (back)
Headphone slot: yes (side)
Arial slot: yes (back)
Screen size: 28...

Dual Formula - Double Price
Review of Dove Dual Action Nourishing Body Wash by
sandrabarber
Advantages: Cleans, Moisturises
Disadvantages: Expensive, No better than the original, Lacks fragrance
...I love Dove products. I love the smell, the creamy texture, the rich lather, and the smooth silky skin they result in. I hate the adverts, with their 'real' people talking 'real' language in their 'real' living rooms, but I fall for them every time and try every new Dove product that comes out.
Nourishing Body Wash is the latest in the Dove range of products, made by Lever Faberge. It's a dual action 2-in-1 formula that washes and nourishes at the same time.
But don't all Dove products do that, you might ask. What's so special about this one? Let's look at the evidence as I see it from a Dove marketeer's point of view.
Imagine your products are best sellers. They do what they say they do and have gained a great reputation and huge following. Just about everything you've got is a cash cow.
Trouble is, you're running out...
