Reviews of touchpad keyboard
Keysonic ACK-540 RF Wireless Mini-Keyboard
Review of Keysonic ACK-540 RF - keyboard , touchpad by
mystik
Advantages: Small and light, touchpad, great range, good keys
Disadvantages: Numpad operation fiddly, tacky mouse buttons and a little flimsy for some
...It's a bit creaky and cheaply built but the range is excellent as it battery life. There aren't many keyboards with a built in mouse pad so you don't need a mouse as well for armchair surfing and emails. The Mouse buttons have a horrible click to them but the keys are pretty good. Very small keyboard so great for storage. Uses 4 AAA batteries. The USB dongle is a little on the large side so rear mount is preferrable unless you have health insurance. Sometimes when it switches on pressing any key) the numpad is on by default. Press FN (bottom left) and NumLK (top right) to disable. It takes a bit of getting used to that the key in the bottom left is not CTRL but the FN key but not a major problem. At about £20 it's a good buy I'd say....

Key and Mouse
Review of Cherry Advanced Performance Line TouchBoard G80-11900 - keyboard , touchpad by
JGK555
Advantages: Very Compact design - built-in Mouse
Disadvantages: Expensive - No Scroll wheel
...The Cherry Advanced Performance Keyboard has a built in Touchpad to replace the functions of the mouse while still keeping a space saving size, ideal if you have limited space on your desktop. The keyboard comes in either black or beige, and has all the standard keys, some have just been moved to make space for the touchpad.
Layout
``````````
Pretty standard layout all the letter and number keys are where they should be, however the bottom row of keys have all been resized smaller to match the standard keys which allows the arrow keys to be placed closer so this makes space for the touchpad which is located on the bottom right of the keyboard also the number pad has been pushed up to the top and the F1 to F12 keys have had the spaces removed and been split into two rows which allows the Insert, Home, Prtsc, Delete, keys etc. to go...
Perfect for media center pc
Review of Keysonic ACK-540 RF - keyboard , touchpad by
richooooo
Advantages: Small light Range Touchpad
Disadvantages: battery life
...Bought this Keyboard a couple of month back so i could lay in bed while having my pc on my HD TV. The ketboard its self is styled to look like a laptop keyboard with the touchpad and 2 buttonsat the bottom middle part of the board.on the side of the touch pad there is a scroll function,this is very useful for browsing text documents etc.
The distance this keyboard is excellent because it uses the 802.11 protocol just liek wireless it is one of the best available and for the price of £28 you cant go wrong. It is perfect for media center pcs because you dont need a mouse or keyboard when you have this little gizmo.
There is only 2 minor problems with this keyboard:
1. Batterys dont seem to last very long in this it uses 4 AAA's
2.When i start my computer the keyboard automatically is set with the numlock on this means that some...
Logitech diNovo Edge
Review of Logitech diNovo Edge - keyboard , touchpad by
tmockingbird
Advantages: Thin, nice layout, lots of hotkeys, nice color.
Disadvantages: Gets dirty easily.
...Intro.
I got this keyboard for my birthday, and when I first saw it, I fell in love with it. The keyboard is very slim, as you can see on the picture, with a lot of features and hotkeys.
Package.
When you get the keyboard, it will be packed in a big rectangular box, with a complete users guide, charger, wireless receiver and of course the keyboard itself. There will also be software included which will install "SetPoint", which will enable you to assign hotkeys.
Setting it all up.
This keyboard is an ideal keyboard for gamers, or people who simply spend a lot of time typing. It has extremely useful hotkeys, which you can add using SetPoint (software supplied with the keyboard). You can set up to 4 programs/files to open up with a single click, complete control of your media center (volume up/down, next song, pause/play, stop...
Compatibility with PS3 (including Linux)
Review of Logitech diNovo Edge - keyboard , touchpad by
Dreamsorcerer
Advantages: High quality, long battery, bluetooth connectivity so no dongle required
Disadvantages: Not all features worked on Linux immediately (horizontal scrolling and about quarter of media keys)
...This is a rather bespoke review.
I bought this keyboard to use on my PS3, along with the Linux(Ubuntu) installation, as it was one of the few bluetooth keyboards I found. I am happy to say that the keyboard paired with my PS3 easily, so I do not need to use the USB dongle, it connected to Linux easily as well, need to follow some short instructions though, (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-setup-bluetooth-keyboard-and-mouse-in-ubun tu.html).
On the PS3, took me about 30 seconds to connect the keyboard (without using dongle), then worked brilliant. Track pad can also be used to navigate the menus as well as the arrow keys. Only issue, is sometimes when playing Resistance online, when trying to type a message, the keyboard becomes unresponsive and you can't type any messages (I assume this is a software problem, not the actual...
Keysonic ACK- 540 RF
Review of Keysonic ACK-540 RF - keyboard , touchpad by
TOMMY3192
Advantages: Sleek, stylish, easy to use
Disadvantages: scrool part of touch pad a little too sensitive
...After using this product for the best part of a year, i think it is only right to write a review. There are no major problems with this product, yet it does not stand out as one of the best in the market. It has a great range of use, being able to be used upto ten metres away from the sensor. As for spywade's problem above, i experinced this, but by simply holding down the ''FN'' button and pressing num lock, you can turn this off, and switch to letter mode, meaning that the letters show instead of the numbers. It is stylish and sleek, and doesn't look ghastly at all. The numbers do tend to fall off a little easy, but it is a simple case of putting them back into place. The battery life lasts a tidy time, helped by the feature of automatic shut off after ten minutes of non-use. The touchpad works well, and is not too sensitive...
Logitech DiNovo Edge
Review of Logitech diNovo Edge - keyboard , touchpad by
AndrewSteele
Advantages: Looks, feel, touch pad, orange lights, battery life
Disadvantages: Price, lack of number pad, finger-print magnert
...Been using this keyboard for a few hours now, and I am very impressed. I first saw this keyboard on the youtube channel 'Maxishine'. However, when I looked at prices of over £100, I didn't bother. The keyboard I have at the moment broke when I acidentally spilt a drink on it, and so I needed a new one. I went on Amazon.co.uk and although it was still £79.99, I bought it as a little treat for me. This keyboard would be fantastic for anyone who uses their computer with a HD tv due to it's inbuilt track pad. Some people I know have their computer plugged into their TV and they sit on the couch with wireless keyboards and mice. I could never do this comfortably and I needed to be at a desk. However, at the moment I have my PC connected to my TV and I am using the DiNovo Edge quite comfortably. Typing on this keyboard is quite nice, the key...
Sit back and type
Review of Logitech Cordless MediaBoard keyboard , touchpad by
MacUK
Advantages: Playstation 3 text entry, simple, lightweight and innovative for console use.
Disadvantages: Feels cheaper than other Logitech products.
...Ever tried to enter more than your name into a PS3 using the standard handheld controller? Well I have on a couple of occasions, and not only do you need to clear a good slot in your diary, but it is frustrating and beats any brain-training game for concentration….or am I just getting old?
The Keyboard that puts the end to all this is Logitech MediaBoard pro. In the box you get everything you need to get started, including batteries. Installation is as simple as installing the 2 AA Batteries into the underside of the keyboard and inserting the wireless adapter into a free USB slot on your Playstation 3.
There is an on/off switch on the top right of the keyboard, which I like the idea of, having had some PC-based keyboards and mice that continue to suck battery life even when not in use.
The keyboard itself is extremely light... | | |
