Advantages: Quality tour with a live guide
Disadvantages: The heavily historic nature of the tour may not suit everyones tastes

...Guide Friday operate tours all over the country although this article is essentially based on their tour of Cambridge. The real selling point of their tour is the live guide and whilst this may make them slightly more then their competitors, (some of whom are so desperate for passengers they will undercut further!) helps greatly in a number of ways. A live guide will have no problem synchronising a tour to the surroundings however fast or slow the bus moves around the city. They will also be able to adapt a tour in order to take account of diversions or recent changes. Both or these things are where tape commentary is really lacking and whilst the latter may not normally be encountered you will certainly find that the former presents a problem for taped bus commentaries every day. ...It had been a whole year since I last went to see Blue on their ‘One Love’ tour in 2003. The tour was fantastic and as I believed, it would be hard for the lads to live up to the standards on their new tour. Manchester Evening News Arena, Saturday 20th December, a date that for me had been a long time coming. This was the final show of the Guilty Tour 2003 and Blue had already performed in this venue in the afternoon. Would they be prepared for a second show in one day after 2 months of touring the country? Hell yes they were! ...The Wonderbus tour is fantastic, especially for children. It looks like a normal bus by any account but shaped like a boat in attractive eye-catching colours of blue and yellow with pictures of dolphins on either side. We saw one when we were out and about, naturally by the shape and the colours my son spotted it first and was very curious to try it out. As he had insisted so much we decided to take him on the Wonderbus experience. Booking the tickets was very easy, which you can do in a number of ways, we booked througth the hotel we were staying at but you can also book online, from the Wonderbus main office or at any travel agents in Dubai. Only two tours operate per day at 11am and 4pm so you are free to choose and book around which tour you want to take.The Wonderbus has been manufactured in New York and is truly one of a kind both... ...We were recommeded Titan HiTours from a friend and we were not disappointed. I would say it is a bit more expensive than other escorted tour operators but in my opinion it is worth paying the bit extra for the service we received. Titan HiTours are not aimed at anyone particular age group however, me and my partner are in our late 20's and early 30's and we were the youngest on our holiday my about 20 years. This didnt however stop us having a most enjoyable holiday and meeting lots of lovely people. From being picked up at our door and taken direct to the airport to our own check in desk, things only got better. Our tour was a coach tour to the West Coast of America, we were greeted by our guide at the airport, who stayed with us throughout the entire trip. ...After 10 years the boys are back with an extremely impressive tour. If you have ever been to a take that concert and came out going wow that was fab. Then you'll love this. It really doesn't fail to impress. When you think about them going back on tour you do think about them 10 years ago with the dancing and think god they can't pull that off now. But they have really thought about it in this concert, they do dance, but they pull it off, and the dancing and the whole show is a bit more mature whilst still keeping to the Take that style. The songs perfomed on the tour are: The show opens with the manager phoning for the boys, and he wants them now. His assistant only has a couple of minutes to manufacture them. ...The Midnight Tour is the 3rd book in the Beast House chronicles, I have read mixed reviews about the book but i personally feel that this may be the best of the three. The book is the longest of the set weighing in at around 600 pages long, but the way it is written it will keep you hooked all the way through, I had a few sleepless nights due to me not being able to put the book down. Being as it is number 3 in a set, it would be of benefit to read the others first (The Cellar and The Beast House) but this book can be read as a standalone and still make sense because of the way the author has written it. ...Billy Connolly has made 4 world tours in his time and this one may be the best of them all. This World tour of Scotland box set chronicles Billy's 40 date concert tour and his own appreciation of his home country through the eyes of this country's best comedian. Billy takes us all through his favourite parts of his home country showing us all the hidden gems of the historic country. We see the urban hustle and bustle of major cites such as Glasgow and Edinburgh. He also shows us the extraordinary beauty of Scotland and its highlands. Plus as he travels the length and breadth of his native country he re-visits old places and discovers new ones. I think this part of his tour may bore people and they might just want the comedy but I think if those people really listen and watch what's happening they will learn about the beauty... Read review
