Advantages: Brand new caravans that are well kept.
Disadvantages: As with all caravans a little on the pricey side.

...Apologies in advance, this is long review! After seeing a report on my local news the other night I thought I would review the one thing that, over the last 5-6 years of my life has been a constant, come rain or shine, recession or boom we have visited and stayed at this particular place as our holiday home of choice. The particular report I was referring to earlier, was the fact that out of all the poor companies in my local area (I live in the Midlands, we are one of the worst hit areas for redundancy?s), the caravan companies were flourishing. Overstone Caravan Park

Advantages: Very freindly clean site with good amenities.
Disadvantages: Only opens on a seasonal basis.

...For the past couple of years myself and the family have made frequent visits for short breaks to a lovely little caravan park in Northamptonshire, "Overstone". It's quite close for us but makes a nice change and is 100% enjoyable every time we go there, though in my case it's mostly the great fishing I enjoy. You can find Overstone caravan park in the village of Overstone, situated between Wellingborough and Northampton approximately 4 miles from the A14 making it easily accessible from almost every where. This quaint little site offers an outdoor swimming pool along with a pitch & put course and the usual play park area's for the kiddie's including a mini BMX track. Brilliant Holiday At Lady's Mile Touring Park!

Advantages: Clean Practical and good Location
Disadvantages: Showers and toilets CLEAN.... but dated.

...I went on my first ever camping holiday with my girlfriend at Lady's Mile and we had a brilliant time. It all went well we only had a minor leak in our tent which was our only problem with the whole week. Anyways, back to the park perfect location to get around and visit a lot of different seaside resorts and attractions. This was the main reason we picked the park and were a little apprehensive about lady's mile with a couple of bad reviews and some very good one. We arrived at 11 am in the morning and found the receptionist very friendly and helpful, we were given wristbands and an informational booklet and then told to find a pitch and enjoy your stay. Now I?ve been to a few caravan parks as a kid and I have never been asked to find a pitch, but there?s plenty, all different sizes and all close to the toilets and the showers...

...Do you want a clean, well run, well staffed caravan / campsite in beautiful Cornwall. If the answer is yes then this is most definitely NOT the place for you and your family. Penstowe has no atmosphere and no staff, don't get me wrong there is a woman that can be occasionally found, but everyday you are greeted by a hand written sign on the office/reception door telling you of her unavailability. Oh, but I mustn't forget her husband who is on hand to shout at you if you come looking for any assistance.The toilet/shower block was not cleaned for three days. And I don't mean not cleaned properly, I mean NOT CLEANED! False nails sitting beside one of the sinks for this period was testament to this. Build up of human excrement, rubbish and bugs provided further proof. The fact there was no soap provided in the ladies toilets for these three...

Advantages: Friendly, Quiet, Good Sports Fascilities.Nr Bude.
Disadvantages: You do need a car. Chalets can Vary.

Welcome Caravan Park - Dawlish Warren

Advantages: Great place for adults and kids alike
Disadvantages: We have to come home!

...This Caravan Park is in Dawlish Warren, Devon. It is clean, friendly and has excellent entertainment facilities, and entertainment staff. The beach is a short walk away, is clean and has rock pools for the children to explore. The site has static caravans and I have stayed in the lower and top range, and all are clean and very modern. There are also chalets which I have never stayed in but look fine. There is a childrens play area with swings etc, lots of activities day and night for the children and adults alike. There are 3 swimming pools and a bubbling pool to relax in. There are shops on site and just off site, launderette, hire services and gas and electric are free. There is plenty of parking space, and there are lots of nearby attractions, e.g. Model Village, Paignton zoo, and you can get discounts on the visits...

Graeanfryn Farm in North Wales - camping and caravanning site

Advantages: Not too far from Portmadog, sandy beaches around 1 mile away, prices quite reasonable
Disadvantages: Toilets/showers could have been a lot cleaner, terrible Welsh weather, not much space on site

...Graeanfryn Farm I stayed here earlier this Summer holiday with my family. We had just bought a new touring caravan and this was the first place we tried it out in. We have been to many camping sites before we bought our new caravan, staying in a tent, but after freezing half to death and getting soaking wet (as well as having to listen to the whole sites arguments/ snoring etc through the thin fabric walls of a tent) too many times in our "waterproof" tent we'd just had enough, and decided a caravan would be better to suit our needs. Location Graeanfryn Farm is in Nefyn, we had stayed in this town before and that is why we choose to come to this site for our first trip in the caravan - if anything went wrong at least we knew the town quite well and wouldn't get lost on our way back home and also its a lovely place...

A May Flower of a Caravan Park

Advantages: Small, with individual plots for you to stay on, clean and tidy
Disadvantages: None worth mentioning

.... The area for your caravan is on Cotswold Stone and would fit a double axle caravan with about 10ft to spare. There is enough grass area for you to have your awning up, your table and chairs outside and park your car. These bays are partitioned off by fir trees, which not only give you privacy and your own space, but muffle the sounds from other campers (and protect them from my hubby's snoring). Although children are welcome there are not any playgrounds or anything and ball games are not permitted, but there is enough room in your own area to play games with your children. We have set up in our lovely corner plot which we are extremely pleased with, so let's go onto the short walk to the toilets and see what they are like. It is only around 50ft away to the block and we pass a concrete area with around 6-7 benches and tables on, I think...

Advantages: Come and go when you please, great for wildlife people

...It has been 20 years since staying at this caravan park so we (my wife and I) decided to go for a week with our little two berth tourer. We booked up for the premier pitch three weeks before hand to make sure we got in because it was the start of the illuminations, a very busy time usually. We got booked up ok and the Lady on the phone when we booked was quite pleasent. On arrival we had to go to the booking in office for the touring section, which we did. It was lashing it down so I made a mad dash for the office, only to find it locked up. No sign on the door telling people where to go or what to do. It was only 11:30am Saturday morning so I would have thought someone would be there. ...Valley Caravan Park is situated in the heart of Polzeath, North Cornwall, approximately 6 miles from Wadebridge. It is a family park, although a couple or two are permitted - multiples of couples, however are not allowed. It has both static caravans for hire and pitches for tents and touring caravans. Prices vary depending on the length of stay and time of year. We stayed in an almost new 4 berth caravan just before Easter 2003, which cost £15.00 per person, per night for three nights (the longer your stay, the cheaper it was per night.) We have also pitched our two man tent at various times throughtout the summer season, which has cost about £12.00 per night.
