I came across the SCP straighteners whilst looking for a cheap pair of GHD's (not possible) At only £25 i thought it would be worth a go just to try them and if they weren't any good it was no big loss. ...I was a little confused when trying to decide which ceramic straigheners to buy. At first I was going to go for GHD as they are a very popular brand....However don't follow the crowd, try T3 Tourmaline straighteners by HairArt. These straighteners are made from 100% crushed Tourmaline mineral. Which in the words of 'Jasonshankey.co.uk' means: 'A precious stone, Tourmaline works by itself, just like a magnet. Advantages: The best on the market! Brilliant job on any type on hair.
Disadvantages: Quite expensive but worth it (I think anyway)

...as a frizzy mess anyway! Then I tried a friends GHD's and thought they were the best ever, the answer to my prayers! So I went on a hunt for the cheapest offer, this took a few months but whilst looking I stumbled across an advert for the latest innovative hair straighteners on the market; the T3 tourmaline wet-to-dry. I didn't know anyone with these straighteners but I really liked the sound of them, especially the fact you can just jump out of the shower and straighten from wet. I read up on them and everything said was very positive. I know they are expensive (almost £100) but I was gonna spend that much anyway on the GHD's. So, my hunt started again but this time for the T3 iron. It didn't take long for me to find a good offer. I waited a couple of days for them to arrive and when they did I wasn't disappointed. ...to answer!! So, please don't mark this down for not being a proper review as I'm sure it will be very useful to some people!! Stuff you should know: Both straighteners come with a good warrantee. The corded is 5 years and the cordless is 5 years. I did ask why the warrantee was longer on the corded variety but they said "The guarantee is a decision made by our Marketing Department and therefore we are unable to answer this question. However all our products are made to the same high standards." However compared to GHD's which have a warrantee of a year I think and seem to last 3 years if very lucky, then this is very good regardless. And these straighteners are often compared to GHD's. ...After my old strighteners gave up the ghost I decided to buy a new, ceramic pair. After searching the internet, I found these straighteners at a good price with a impressive list of specifications so decided to give them a go. Firstly, they are distinctive colour; I have not seen any other cream coloured straighteners around. The long cord is especially handy if your plug sockets are not particularly close to any mirrors! They heat up very quickly and leave my hair shiny and straight- it stays straight for at least the rest of the day too. The plate size is 1" and it is coated with crushed tourmaline gem that results in the emitance of infrared heat which subjects the hair to less damage. My hair has certainly been less coarse and I don’t get as many split ends or ends snapping off as I use too. I have read some reviews... Read review

Advantages: Supersleek straight hair, or you can add texture.. Versatility!
Disadvantages: At 210C you've got to be very careful where you put these!

...! I have owned these straighteners for about a year and a half and they have lasted longer than any other pair that I've owned. They are very dureable, and the heat mat provided makes them ideal to travel around with. The swivel-cable also helps to stop you tearing the wires out when you're trying to smooth out difficult spots! Also, in my year and a half of using them my hair is still very smooth! Used with the correct products they don't dry out your hair, and even at 210C my hair has seemed to benefit from the tourmaline plates. The quality of the straightened hair is very good - it stays as you have styled it for hours, and the hair is also left smooth and frizz free which can be a problem found with other straighteners.
