...The product I will now review is "TOY STORY THE ULTIMATE TOY BOX", I have been a fan of these films for ages, but never thought about reviewing them until my daughter prompted me recently due to the fact we have to now watch them twice daily! (I have a three year old son who is obsessed with the cowboy toy!) ~~~~~~ THE DVD CASE ~~~~~~ I know it seems a little ridiculous to start a review on a dvd case, but it's so beautifully decorated and bright I feel it needs a mention. The dvd's are held in a four layer fold out case, on the outside of this is of course pictures of the main characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear. On the inside of the case are pictures of some characters featured in Toy Story 2, including Jesse and Bullseye the horse. ...Those that have read my previous dvd opinions on this site will know that I make no bones about the fact that some Region 2 titles frankly don't cut it in comparison to their Region 1 counterparts. I'm sad to say this applies to two of the worlds most watched films in this set. I'm sure most will be familiar with the Toy Story films. The first pushed the barriers of animation and was something never seen before but far from being eye candy it actually had a story to it and great characters. A few years later and a sequel was put into production and originally intended to go straight to video. Well of course that would have been a bad idea and huge box office grosses proved that a theatrical run was correct. Of course it follows the sequel rule of having everything bigger and better. ...- farm Four in a box Working in a classroom, I tend to buy many of the toys from specific manufacturers, and Orchard Toys is one of my preferred sellers. This is basically a set of four jigsaw puzzles, which come in a brightly decorated cardboard box. The lid of the box clearly shows the 4 jigsaw puzzles which can be made, as well as giving a bit of general information about the jigsaw. Inside the box are 4 jigsaw puzzles depicting farmyard scenes and showing the number in the right hand top corner. The pictures are: 1 tractor, 2 cows, 3 sheep and 4 hens. Each of the jigsaws is 18cm by 18 cm, but they are graded for difficulty into 4, 6, 8 and 12 piece jigsaws. So, each piece for the 1 tractor puzzle is quite big and easy to hold, whilst the 12 pieces for the 4 hens jigsaw puzzle are much smaller and more suited to children who... Read review

...These are the toys that make my list. To save time and space, I've given you a few links and a few telephone numbers but not all. You can do a search of the ones that I haven't listed. If the toy is a 'brand name' toy . then when you are searching , add the words "OFFICIAL SITE" to the words you are searching for and you will find what you are looking for faster and easier. 1. Slinky ahhh yes the SLINKY. A wonderful toy that was just a SPRING ...yes a metal spring with a fancy name. SOmeone taught this silly metal spring how to walk down the steps [can it walk up? lol] and made a fortune on marketing this toy. This toy has been for sale for over forty years, and is STILL available in stores. Barnes and Nobles --booksellers --sells a miniature slinky in a small box, with a book about the history of slinky and how to use... Read review

Advantages: Suitable for everyone
Disadvantages: None - this is a great film

...Bo (Woody's fave gal) and defeat Mr. Potato Head and Ham together (but they're nice really!). Andy's off to cowboy camp and Woody's going with him. Its five minutes before they leave that - UH OH- Woody's arm rips! Andy decides he can't take Woody and so Andy’s mum SHELVES Woody. This is a big deal because toys who get shelved don't get played with again as Woody soon discovers. High up on the shelf, he meets Wheezy (a cute lil' squeaky penguin who has lost his squeak) who everyone thought Andy's mum had taken for repair. Next thing you know, Andy's mum has taken Wheezy off the shelf and put him in the box for the YARD SALE. Another big thing for toys - one of their worst fears is being put in a yard sale and being taken away from their fave owner! Woody feels like he has to save the day. He leaps on the back of Andy's dog... Read review

...Having lost my previous release of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 3 disc box set i was happy to find this new 4 disc release in the dvd charts for £19.96 in Tesco. This is a special edition so i'm guessing it won't be available after a short while. I appologise for the lengthy review but there are many excellent features i feel they deserve a mention! #History Disney is a well established company but very little is known about Pixar. It started in 1984 when a Disney animator leaves and joins with George Lucas's special effects company group. The company, later bought by Steve Jobs became Pixar. Without realising, Pixar have been all over our screens over the years and have produced many commercials including several for Listerine mouth wash and the fruit flavoured Polos. Its really hard to believe that Toy Story is 10 years old... Read review
