T2 Verso, affordable Versatility.
Review of Toyota Corolla Verso T2 1.6 VVT-i by
ElenarMT
Advantages: Reliable, Economical, Spacious, Versatile
Disadvantages: Assymetrical rear lights ;)
...is that Toyota didn't supply floor carpets. They wanted to charge me £75 for a set - which is ridiculous! I bought two at Tesco for a fiver.
OVERALL IMPRESSION:
---------------------------------
Just about every car maker has an MPV like the Verso on the market. Some are bigger, or faster or cleverer or whatever-er. But for what you pay, what you get and the package as a whole, you simply cannot go better than the Verso. Yes, there are diesel versions, but who wants a farm tractor anyway! The 1.8 T3 is an attractive option, at a few thousand quid more.
I have driven and owned many cars, including the BMW 740iL. When we started looking around, I looked at the 3 series BMW, the new Lexus IS250 and various others. I even looked at the Ford S-Max. That has a smallest engine size of a 2litre, which instantly puts you in a higher...

2004 T2 D4D estate
Review of Toyota Avensis T2 2.0 D-4D by
9124polly
Advantages: nice dirve economic
Disadvantages: this car could kill you!!
...we bought this car in April 2004, we had the rack and pinion changed after 4 months. the front tyres changed 18,500 miles and at that time we were told there was a serious problem with the wish bone/trailing arm and the car was too dangerous to drive!! at 37,000 (Nov 2006) we had to change the front tyres again and NSR tyre was worn. The dealership said the trailing arm had moved again!!. and in Dec 2006 a warning light appeared on the dash ALL 4 glow plugs needed changing.
Toyota customer services said that all cars have problems and they have apologised for any incovenience caused. If i hadn't gone into the dealership because of noise i noticed, i would only have found out about the wishbone when it snapped, while i was driving. Which could have been fatal!
I beleive they have a problem but are NOT recalling the cars WHY...

Vauxhall Astra 1.4 HI TORQ - True All Purpose Car
Review of Vauxhall Astra LS 1.4i hatchback by
MR2MK1CCW
Advantages: Cheap, Very Reliable, Carry Large Loads, Safety
Disadvantages: Fuel Economy is Poor while the HI TORQ claim is false advertising, Security
...I have owned my 1993 (K-Reg) Vauxhall Astra 1.4 HI-TORQ since early 2004 and it has been a great car that has seen many of my other vehicles come and go. The Astra has been my primary car during my ownership covering just under 25,000 miles and has served me with reliability and practicality that would be envied by more modern cars and their owners.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
The Astra has been very much a workhorse and has been treated as such. The bodywork has numerous dents and battle scars gained from the general errands that it has been used for. I am often pitied by my mates for driving such a car but it has a certain character that can only be gained by old age.
RELIABILTY and SERVICING COSTS
Reliability has been excellent bearing in mind that this is a car which I purchased with 69,000 miles on the clock for £425. The clock...

Toyota Corolla T3 hatchback
Review of Toyota Corolla T3 1.4 VVT-i by
volcano
Advantages: Good safety
Disadvantages: front door design fault
...We brought a brand new Toyota Corolla T3 hatchback from a local dealer last September when there was a special offer i.e. slight reduction in price.
When we were test-driving the car (slightly older model), it was good with power-steering, sensitive brakes and air-conditioning respond very fast. It was a hot and sunny day and within a minute of pressing the button, cold air was already filling the car. Excellent.
The trim looks good and the price was reasonably good 12k sterling before the haggle begins.
The dealer was quite helpful as well for obvious reasons.
Once we have got the slightly newer version of it. It look slightly different. The main change is curtain air-bag at the side.
These curtain air-bag will protect you from side-impact - good safety feature to have with the car is already renowned for its safety...

Toyota cars are they worth it.
Review of Toyota by
manchester12345
Advantages: SLEEK and stylish cars
Disadvantages: Bit pricey and pushy salesmen.
...I am going to review the toyota car and how they look and drive as i have test driven them.
I have not as yet bought a new one as i would still like to think about it anyway here goes on my review of the new toyota corolla..
TOYOTA COROLLA:
I must say this was a very smooth drive and one of the best cars i have ever driven.
I HAD A TEST DRIVE OF THIS when i went to the dealers and : The new corolla is in four different bodystyles and five very efficent petrol and diesel engines.
You can choose between 3 AND 5 -door hatchbacks including the very exciting T sport if you like sporty type of cars.
I myself think this is a truly modern car ,and with its features which i will come to is well worth it if you can afford it , out of all the toyota cars this is my favourite at the moment .
superbly equipped all T2 MODELS COME...

Good deal in a smart lil package
Review of Toyota Corolla 1.4 Liftback by
waga
Advantages: reliability, running costs, practicality
Disadvantages: it's slow
...I am assuming this is the 1.4l hatchback (liftback), as this was the closest match. Got this brand new for £13k, for my dad, and 2 miles on the clock, on July 2003
It's an ok drive, but the suspension is a bit soft for my liking, but it is smooth. The aircon is useful, tho would have prefered climate control.
The interior is roomy, and we've had no probs with it so far. We haven't had it for long, so we can't tell you of any logn term problems we've had with it. One of the problems that occurred during the first 3 months was one of the heating elements in the rear window gave out, but that was replaced FOC by Toyota.
It comes with alloys which compliment the lowered front skirts, which give it an aggressive look - nicely done Toyota!
It's a shame only the front windows are electric, as having rear powered ones would have been handy...

Reliable and looks good
Review of Toyota Corolla 1.4 Liftback by
somebodyrandom
Advantages: the make -toyota
Disadvantages: price?
...Any car that is made by Toyota is definitely going to be garanteed to last for years and miles upon miles. This car is built very sturdily, with a good hard chasis and engine. Being a 1.4 litre has got two main advantages. The first is that it is fairly economical and does not drink petrol like a rugby player would beer on a night out with the lads. Secondly the insurance is fairly cheap compared to other models.
This car looks and sounds good. It has got power steering, central locking, air conditioning and an optional cd player. It is under ten thousand notes so is good value for money. Any one would look good in this car- from a business man to a mother on the school run. It is cheap to maintain as Toyaota parts and cars last for years, the body won't rust and you should get aleast one hundred thousand miles out of the engine...

Toyota corolla Verso T Spirit petrol 1800 cc VVT-i
Review of Toyota Corolla Verso T Spirit 1.8 VVT-i by
markinbelv
Advantages: Feels and is very reliable car, great looks,
Disadvantages: bad visibility in the rear due to small side windows
...The Toyota Verso comes in six models. Starting with the T2 the base model,T3, the TR which comes with blacked out windows, Bluetooth connection and multi CD changer, T Spirit and the sport T 180.
I have the T Spirit petrol 1800 cc VVT-i, 05 reg. This vehicle hosts a varied amount of equipment, which makes it second from the top within this model range.
I’ll start with the shape of the vehicle with its slick lines and up to date looks and one of the only models with roof rails. This model also has alloy wheels. One of its bad points is visibility in the rear side windows. Unlike its rivals I don’t think it looks like a MPV but more like a normal five-seated hatch back. But this is not the case as it has two very easy to fold out seats in the back, still with a bit of room for any luggage. When the seats are not in place...

VW Golf 1.4 Match
Review of VW Golf III 1.4 by
dav1d89
Advantages: cheap to run, safe, cheap parts
Disadvantages: Slow, soft suspension
...will fit in the car easily.
One thing to note is that some of the plastics used on the interior (bonnet release, seat levers) are quite brittle and can break quite easily if they arent looked after.
Also the gear lever feels very solid and sits in gear nicely, ive noticed on some cars it wobbles around alot. The car starts every time i have never had any troubles with it.
One thing to note about starting the engine is when you start it will rev to around 1000rpm and suddenly dip to around 500, so blip the throttle when you start to make sure it doesn't stall. Apparently this is entirley normal and is to do with the valve system in the 1.4 engine.
Rust wise my MK3 doesnt seem to have any, considering the car is 12 years old that is very impressive, it seems MK3's dont tend to rust up that easily.
The Match versions of the MK3...
