Toyota Corolla Verso T2 2,0 D-4D

Advantages: More space than standard models
Disadvantages: still looking

...Summary *********** There are only a very few Toyota Corolla Versos' on our roads today, This is because the car just isn't practical enough. The Zafira and the Picassio all did a much better job So Toyota brought out the all new and very impressive Toyota Corolla Verso T2 2.0 D-4D. Transmission *************** The Verso T2 has got a 5 Speed Manual Gearbox and is a front wheel drive veichle. Body Style *********** This is a great People Carrier that comes in many colours, including Silver and Blue. Behind The Wheel ******************** This 7 Seat Toyota is a very comfortable car to drive,( so my partner says, I dont actually drive) with its well designed driving position. The Pedal's are smooth and easy to use and the controls are well situated for ease of use.It can be driven for long hours or short but whichever...

2004 T2 D4D estate

Advantages: nice dirve economic
Disadvantages: this car could kill you!!

...? the wish bone on this car is a new design which because of the problems has been modified, but Toyota are not recaling those with the faulty wishbone. the car is lovely to drive bur the clock has never kept time form day one always running 2 minutes slow. even when i set it 4 minutes fast within a few weeks it is 2 minutes slow again. i may have a Friday afternoon / Monday morning car. But the attitude of the toyota company customer services has left me cold. as soon as i am financially able i will change this car and not for another Toyota....

Review of Toyota Avensis 2.0 D-4D Saloon

Today, Tomorrow, Toyota

Advantages: TR model has good specification, good fuel consumption
Disadvantages: Some may find styling a little dull

...I have owned my Toyota Avensis TR 2.2 D-4D for just over one year now and have covered around 25000 miles, having purchased an ex demonstrator model on an 08 plate in Nov 08 with just over 1500 miles on the clock. I commute quite a distance to work and use my car for business trips around twice a month and so my driving is mostly motorway or fast A road/dual carriage way driving, with little heavy town driving in my normal routine. When shopping for a car, I was quite broad minded in the kind of car I was looking for, yet remained disappointed in most of the major brands until I got to Toyota, the car that initially caught my eye was a very sporty Auris model. However the dealer in Lincoln also had a selection of elegant looking Avensis lined up in a row, all with low mileage and all seeming to offer a lot of car for the price...

Review of Toyota Avensis 2.2 D-4D Hatchback

Not just a sales rep mobile!

Advantages: Safety, economy, build quality, performance.
Disadvantages: Turning circle, slight visibility issues, no cruise control.

...The Avensis is a frugal, easy to drive car that excels in many areas such as ride, build quality, safety and practicality. My experience with the T3x D4D is a very good one. The car really does justify the reasonable 16K (approx) price tag, as I fail to see any competitor in this price bracket that can offer the superior build quality, unrivalled safety and sheer quality of drive. You can return around 45mpg for daily use with ease, and the tank (according to the onboard range counter) will last you around 430 miles. In terms of performance, there can be a minor lag as with most diesels, but will swiftly deliver you to 60mph in about 11 seconds. The mid range turn of speed between 50-80 is very good which allows it to cruise the motorway very effectively. Around town the car is easy to drive (for what is quite a long car...

Review of Toyota Avensis 2.0 D-4D Saloon

Highly recommended

Advantages: Reliable, great motorway cruiser, refined, great interior
Disadvantages: Dull styling, rear suspension not that great for towing

...I have had this car since 2006. This is a company car so I will not mention price. Good points: This car does everything well. The thing it does best though is eat up the motorway miles. It is such a relaxing car and the 2.2 litre diesel really does pull well. It is one of the first cars I have driven which you can drive 90mph+ and it still feels like you are doing 60 mph. Considering this size of car is probably going to spend a lot of time on the motorway this is a definite plus. Toyota reliability does also not disappoint. Had absolutely no problems yet after 2 years of use with 63k miles on the clock just the usual servicing. Usually what lets these cars down though is the interior which normally feels very shoddy. Not so with the Avensis. It feels like they have taken pointers from their parent company Lexus. The plastics feel...

Review of Toyota Avensis 2.0 D-4D Saloon

IS THIS THE MOTORING EQUIVALENT OF WHITE GOODS?

Advantages: Safe. Big Interior & Boot. Very Refined. Superbly Built. Easy to Drive.
Disadvantages: Not many.

...driving. Hopefully this review will explain why I chose a Honda Accord 2.2 iCDTi in preference to the less expensive and better equipped Toyota Avensis. Having read many good things about the latest "Mark 2" Avensis, it found its way onto my "must test drive" list by dint of a combination of comparatively low list price - the totally equipped T4 is £19,645 (including satellite navigation system), low Eu4 156 CO2, and an extremely spacious and well built interior. It has the credentials of the perfect company, or come to that, safe and well equipped family car. As far as a cars' styling, or appearance are concerned, well, that really is a very personal judgement. If you are going to press me to say what I think of Toyota's styling, externally, of the Avensis all I can say is that whilst beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my theory goes...

Review of Toyota Avensis 2.0 D-4D Hatchback

Excellent value for money

Advantages: Reliability, consumption, price, ride confort
Disadvantages: VIsibility

...I bought this model new about 6 months ago, so far roughly 10,000 miles with no problems. The old model Avensis was clearly a competitor for the likes of the Vectra and Mondeo. With the new version Toyota has clearly upped its game and as well as keeping up with improved Fords and Opels is after more upmarket competition. The general quality and comfort is easily in the Passat standard, and probably also Audi A4 as well. Unless you give a high value to the badge on the front of the car, given that Toyota will also have a superior build quality to these other makes, it's hard to see really convincing arguments in favour of shelling out more for what will end up being worse in the long run. I came to this car with high expectations but it has exceeded them all. It has very respectable consumption given its size - at least 16km...

Toyota Celica 2.0 GTI 16V 1993 'K' Reg'

Advantages: Reliable as a lamp-post, great handling, sexy shape, great performer.
Disadvantages: Poor turning circle, parts expensive

...Toyota Celica 2.0 GTI 16v 5th generation ST182. British car, not import. The model I?m describing here is a ?K? reg 1993 5th generation, 2.0 16v GTI, 3SGE engined front wheel drive version of this wonderful car; it has 154 BHP on tap and is in a non turbo form. The reason for the GT4 coming about with its 200 odd HP output is because there was too much power for just a 2 wheel drive car to handle, torque steering and wheel spin being major drawbacks to power being put down on the road. So split into 4 wheel drive (GT4) evened out the power, thus enabling major upgrades in performance to be had by this body design. The Celica range harks back to the early 70?s and is still being sold today in its latest form, so they surly got something right in the design of this car; the model range has a great pedigree and I?ve always loved Jap...

Review of Toyota Celica 2.0

Avensis ? the ultimate compromise.

Advantages: Well equipped; Fairly Quick ? and silver.
Disadvantages: Acceleration only ?good?; a few rattles.

...I?d owned a ?97 2L Carina for 4 years and I liked that ? but it was getting old. Despite having given solid service I wanted to replace it ? with a budget of £10K plus the Carina. Initially I wanted a low mileage 6th generation Toyota Celica or a recent Honda Prelude ? but those proved far too rare. I considered a 2.5L Galant (but they had shoddy interiors ? which put me off.) I considered an Accord which I liked from the outside but inside lacked equipment ? specifically a factory standard full alarm (and it seemed noisy on the test drive.) I stumbled across a 2 year old Avenis 2.0 CDX and ? despite painfully ugly headlights, horrible front grill and uninspiring rear styling otherwise impressed me. The standard dashboard looks well-made and I like the layout of controls (similar to the Carina.) I am especially a fan...

Review of Toyota Avensis 2.0

One month review of Toyota Avensis.

Advantages: Looks good. Lots of gadgets. Responsive, quiet engine.
Disadvantages: Not very economical. Stiff ride.

...I have owned a 2.2 diesel Avensis hatchback for a month now, having bought it new. The buying process was very long-winded and the dealer seemed more interested in selling me all kinds of insurance and other products, rather than the car itself. And the number of forms I had to fill in and the personal details he wanted was amazing. I thought he was going to ask me the name of my cat the way he was prying! After haggling over price for 4 hours and reaching a staIemate, I went away to think about it over the weekend and then came back with a much reduced offer of £2,000 less than the previous stalemate price. The dealer quickly dropped £1,500 and we did a deal! Altogether, I got 13.5% off the advertised OTR price and free valets for as long as I own the car (not to mention a bunch of flowers). Delighted with my purchase, I got in...
