Advantages: still fees free! (for standard adverts)
Disadvantages: Any option costs money, plenty of time wasters, ads get automatically removed for no reason

...Gumtree is a website dedicated to free ads of certain areas of the globe. It is advertised as UK n°1 website for classified ads but it has branches also in other Worldwide locations (Australia, Poland, New Zeland, Asia and South Africa) plus European and North American partners, meaning other websites called differently but offering the same service. The website is divided into main areas of the UK and each main city in those areas have their own space for posting your ads. So if you live in Manchester you will post your ads in your local area. Also the search of items for sale is local, there isn't yet a function for a global search, mainly because most of transactions end with a collection in person so it's useless to search items across the UK if you live in Cardiff. ...I visited various Toyota dealerships for a good 18 months before taking the plunge in 2005 and buying my Avensis. I found the various dealerships varied quite a lot in terms of customer services prior to a sale. Once the sale had been completed, the aftersalesare second to none. --Dealerships -- I visited dealerships throughout the Midlands in order to find my dream car, my findings are as follows :- Listers Toyota - Coventry This was the first dealer I visited. I was allowed to view the cars on the forecourt with no pressure from the salesman. The cars however were not presented in tip-top condition in my opinion. For example, car seats were left dirty, trim had not been tidied up, etc. When I got talking to the salesman he didnt appear that helpful, basically laughing me down when I told him what car I was looking...

Advantages: User friendly
Disadvantages: Some sites may be a bit frivolous.

...Gumtree.com is like one of those ad newspapers (eg. Loot) but online and is extremely helpful and user-friendly. I have been using it a lot recently as I am back in England for a while and it is great for job hunting, accommodation and even finding friends! It is very user friendly and you can even post free ads without giving away all your personal details. You can also hone your searches by changing the town you want to search in and there is even an option to change countries : maybe a holiday rental in France or a job in Poland! For these credit cruch times it is a good place to sell your unwanted things and find bargains too or maybe even a job. There is a gossipy side too with such sites as "Celebrity spot" but that just shows that it caters to all tastes. Happy hunting!...

Toyota Starlet GT

Advantages: Fuel Economy, Fast, Comfortable, reliable, head turning looks.
Disadvantages: Need an aftermarket fog light as these cars are imports.

...First of all i will begin my review of the Toyota Starlet GT by giving you a brief history of the vehicle. The first model of the Starlet GT (chassis code EP82) was produced in 1990 and continued on through until 1995 when production was ceased.The code given to the engine used was 4-EFTE. During the 5 years of manufacture the GT went through a slight cosmetic change from having square lamps at the front (pre <94 models) to having rounded headlights. I have been a member of a few starlet enthusiast clubs for a while now and this newer model ( post 94>) tends to be called a "quadlight model". Also the post 94> models had a revised tailgate from the pre <94 models, the difference being a reflective strip being removed from between the rear tail lights. I personally own a Toyota Starlet GT so i will be talking from my own experiences...

...my toyota carina has just turned over 180000 miles and all i can say is it has been an amazing car over the last 7yrs..yes 7 yrs ago i bought this great car as a 1 previous owner(an elderly gentleman) when it had 47000 miles on the clock and to think i nearly didnt buy it because it looked so borring,how i have changed my mind.apart from two new exhust systems,brakes,tyres(front mostly)a couple of fuel injectors,air filters,oil changes(every year) all the usual things you would expect through wear and tear this car just keeps on going,i swear i could drive it for a whole year and not lift the bonnet.i drive 70miles a day 5 days a week to work and then weekends,its been all over the west country,norfolk,wales yorkshire and the lake district and still it drives superb and not a sign of rust.on a run it averages 35-40miles to the gallon...

..., and the seats all come out to give greater space for transporting furniture and bikes etc. There's lots of space for a pram as well as shopping. The car itself is really easy to drive. I'm not tall, and yet I've never had visibility problems and it handles well on corners and so on. Sometimes when travelling uphill on motorways it seems to lack power, but acceleration can be boosted by pressing a button and taking overdrive off - effectively dropping a gear. It's just had its first service, which revealed no problems at all and although its not exactly economical mine is an automatic and I chose this feature for ease of driving rather than economy. There have been no maintenance costs at all and I've never needed to top up oil or water etc. Toyota do a service plan which roughly works out at £300 for 3 years servicing. I pay by DD so its barely...
