Toyota Yaris 1.3

Advantages: Small compact car, light on petrol

...The toyota yaris is a superb small compacted car. it is cheap on insurance and ideal for a women do run. I bought my yaris 3 years ago and began with a 1.0 engine. I found this to be very slow on the motorway at picking up its speed, because of his I changed to a 1.3. I am very happy with tis car. The fuel consumption is 48 miles to the gallon . i do a lot of motorway travelling and it is light to drive. the car comes with Airbag, Anti-locking brakes and built in immobiliser. It cruises at 80 with no problem whatsoever, the speed dials and milage are in digital and look to be miles away. this adds a touch of class to the inside of the car. The cd player has an extension on the steering wheel which makes changing tracks easy without distraction away from the road. Toyota, the drive of my life? Nah!

...When an Ambulance dinted my little Renault Clio I was pleased when my insurance offered me a hire car. I was even more excited when I was told that my hire car was going to be a 1.3 automatic Toyota Yaris. It had been a long time since I had driven an automatic and I had always liked the look of the Toyota. Unfortunately, the Yaris is one of the worst new cars I have ever driven. To be fair, let us start with the good things. It looks the part in jet black and it is certainly one of the prettier compact hatchbacks available. Toyota To Me

Advantages: Nippy, cheap to run, great all round car
Disadvantages: Can get buffetted by the wind, back end bigger than the front.

I had always rather fancied a Yaris, something about the little japanese cars that appealed. So not being overly flush I invested in an eclipse black used Yaris (2002 reg) for the princely sum of £5900, you would pay less if you bought privately but I preferred to get it as an 'approved used' just in case. Now as with any car the spec. can vary slightly but mine came with:- Alloy wheels - not essential but nice to look at all the same! The new Toyota Yaris 1.3 VVT-i T3 petrol

...Back in 2006 I had left a Review on the old toyota yaris T-spirit 1.0. What can I say??? I have now upgraded to the new model and it's even better than the old one. At first I wasn't too conviced by the different shape but soon grew to love it. I call it my bubble now. I find this car excellent in all ways. I'm a driving instructor so the selling feature at the time was knowing that I would be protected by 9 airbags! And trust me ...in my job that is very reassuring. I find that the clutch control is excellent. Its very hard to stall in it. Hill starts are a breeze and being a 1.3 its very nippy and won't let you down. Vey easy to manoevre both forwards and backwards. Holds corners very well indeed! Doesn't consume a considerable amount of petrol. As my learners have said "it looks cool"! A Yaris with a big booty

Advantages: Fits a wheelchair
Disadvantages: Not exactly one for the ladies.

Toyota Yaris T-Sport 3 Door

Advantages: Easy to drive, nice looking, compact
Disadvantages: Very hard ride, uncomfortable interior, cheap interior

...I'm a 42 year old female and do love my cars but lack of funds have prevented me from buying anything flash. Last year, I owned a Ford Cougar 2.5v......I loved that car and it was fantastic for me at the time as I was doing about 400 miles each week on the motorway. I changed jobs, however, to one just literally up the road from where I live and, with a drop in wages, the Cougar became an unnecessary luxury. So, I went on the look out for something smaller and cheaper, hence the Yaris. My sister owns a Yaris 1.0 automatic and she's always raved about it. I've always preferred something a little zippier so decided to go for the T-Sport version. I'm disappointed. My dream of a Puma became.... a Yaris

Advantages: Fuel efficient, cheap on insurance and road tax. Good all round car for a small family or anyone who likes to be that little bit different.
Disadvantages: I really cannot fault this car.

The Toyota Yaris, Perfect in every way

...There isn't much that you can say about the Yaris that isn't good. When buying the Yaris my partner and I looked around at various other cars in the class - Saxo, Swift, Punto to name three - and the Yaris stood head and shoulders above them all in my opinion. The first thing that struck me about it was the build quality. The Yaris is very solid in comparison. All of the other cars seemed very 'tinny' when compared to the Yaris. This model is quite low on the "added extras" front and certainly doesn't offer the levels of specification you might expect for the price. and, after living with the car for the last 6 months, I must say that it has lived up to my expectations and the lack of some of the luxuries has not diminished it's appeal. Yaris 1.3 CDX Auto now called T-Spirit

Advantages: Comfortable, good ride, strong engine, reliable, well equipped, economical
Disadvantages: Small boot, plasticky inside, no intermittent mode for rear wiper

...We researched the small automatic car market for many months before finally purchasing this Yaris 1.3 Auto CDX through a car supermarket (Motorpoint), and thus saving approximately £2400 on main dealer prices. While the Yaris has been around for a few years now it holds its own still in the supermini market. Recent revisions haven't improved the rather grey plasticky inside, and the outside has had minor alterations to the lights and bumpers, but it still looks good. While the Honda Jazz may be better built and have more room (and the CVT 'box is great!), and the new Nissan Micra more interesting inside and out, the Yaris still sells well because its well equipped and projects a sense of quality.
