The new Toyota Yaris 1.3 VVT-i T3 petrol
Review of Toyota Yaris T3 1.0 VVT-i by
lollypop9
Advantages: Amazing.. in all categories
Disadvantages: door pockets too narrow
...Back in 2006 I had left a Review on the old toyota yaris T-spirit 1.0. What can I say??? I have now upgraded to the new model and it's even better than the old one. At first I wasn't too conviced by the different shape but soon grew to love it. I call it my bubble now.
I find this car excellent in all ways. I'm a driving instructor so the selling feature at the time was knowing that I would be protected by 9 airbags! And trust me ...in my job that is very reassuring. I find that the clutch control is excellent. Its very hard to stall in it. Hill starts are a breeze and being a 1.3 its very nippy and won't let you down. Vey easy to manoevre both forwards and backwards. Holds corners very well indeed! Doesn't consume a considerable amount of petrol. As my learners have said "it looks cool"!
Again the driver's seat can...

A car is for driving, a Yaris is for cruising
Review of Toyota Yaris T3 1.0 VVT-i by
iv3_b33n_r0bb3d
Advantages: mostly everything, electronic display
Disadvantages: nothing
...First things first, why are there so many reviews under 'Toyota Yaris 1.0', I see more T3's around than the basic Yaris. To be fair they were probably all too busy admiring their car and forgetting to realise the model. Back to the topic eh.
The striking point to a passer by would be its exterior design, well that's really all they see from the outside. Looking front on you see its large headlight that adds character to the car I must say, checking out its rear, not as attractive but can be considered as average (it's far better than the Renault Megane, errrr). The bumpers are the same colour as the car with the odd grey plastic patches to prevent a scratch when you scrap a car. This car is a 3 door so the doors are bigger than doors for a 5 door car.
On the inside, you find yourself somewhere else, the inside doesn't reflect...

Toyota Corolla T3 hatchback
Review of Toyota Corolla T3 1.4 VVT-i by
volcano
Advantages: Good safety
Disadvantages: front door design fault
...We brought a brand new Toyota Corolla T3 hatchback from a local dealer last September when there was a special offer i.e. slight reduction in price.
When we were test-driving the car (slightly older model), it was good with power-steering, sensitive brakes and air-conditioning respond very fast. It was a hot and sunny day and within a minute of pressing the button, cold air was already filling the car. Excellent.
The trim looks good and the price was reasonably good 12k sterling before the haggle begins.
The dealer was quite helpful as well for obvious reasons.
Once we have got the slightly newer version of it. It look slightly different. The main change is curtain air-bag at the side.
These curtain air-bag will protect you from side-impact - good safety feature to have with the car is already renowned for its safety...

Yaris, treat it with respect, it'll love you back
Review of Toyota Yaris T3 1.3 VVT-i by
paulhanton
Advantages: Well equipped, manouverable, economical, fun & cool
Disadvantages: lacks power at top end
...Time for an update, Yazzer (my son named the car) is one year old now and has just had first service, a couple of miles short of 10,000.
The Toyota dealer (Pentagon) was helpful and the full service price was £96, which included oil and filter change, screenwash fluid, and they washed the car and vacumed it, all in three hours.
10,000 miles, brakes only 15% worn, tyres similar. I have not had a single problem with this car and it has grown on me immenesly, I just love it.
One year on and no issues with the paintwork, no gremlins at all. The longest drive I have made so far is about 400 miles in a day (London and back) and it was plenty comfortable enough.
I bought this car as a replacement to a gas guzzling 2.5 litre car that I owned. Mainly for envioronmental reasons, but also economical reasons.
It is great around town...

The Toyota Yaris, Perfect in every way
Review of Toyota Yaris 1.0 by
ferne83
Advantages: Fuel efficient, cheap on insurance and road tax and good for a small family
Disadvantages: Poor visibility and large doors.
...There isn't much that you can say about the Yaris that isn't good.
When buying the Yaris my partner and I looked around at various other cars in the class - Saxo, Swift, Punto to name three - and the Yaris stood head and shoulders above them all in my opinion. The first thing that struck me about it was the build quality. The Yaris is very solid in comparison. All of the other cars seemed very 'tinny' when compared to the Yaris. This model is quite low on the "added extras" front and certainly doesn't offer the levels of specification you might expect for the price. and, after living with the car for the last 6 months, I must say that it has lived up to my expectations and the lack of some of the luxuries has not diminished it's appeal.
There is lots of storage space, cup holders and a draw under the passenger seat...

Toyota Yaris 1.3
Review of Toyota Yaris 1.3 by
charnock33
Advantages: Small compact car, light on petrol
Disadvantages: No disadvantages
...The toyota yaris is a superb small compacted car. it is cheap on insurance and ideal for a women do run. I bought my yaris 3 years ago and began with a 1.0 engine. I found this to be very slow on the motorway at picking up its speed, because of his I changed to a 1.3. I am very happy with tis car. The fuel consumption is 48 miles to the gallon . i do a lot of motorway travelling and it is light to drive. the car comes with Airbag, Anti-locking brakes and built in immobiliser. It cruises at 80 with no problem whatsoever, the speed dials and milage are in digital and look to be miles away. this adds a touch of class to the inside of the car. The cd player has an extension on the steering wheel which makes changing tracks easy without distraction away from the road. Air conditioning is another great feature for the hot days plus the built...

Toyota Corolla 1.6 T3
Review of Toyota Corolla T3 1.6 VVT-i by
anna222
Advantages: Good on petrol,nippy.
Disadvantages: back seat space restricted, boot space restricted, feeling of being quite low down.
...Without a doubt, this car has all the quality that you would expect from a Toyota.
Looks wise, the car has alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers as standard-looks very smart & is well built..
Inside, looks are classy, not too fussy.Cd player, air con as standard, along with your very useful drinks holder.Seats are very comfortable and fully adjustable. Not too many special features as standard, but you have your basics, which are acceptable for the price paid.
The corolla is very well made,no rattles, squeaks or manufacturing faults within my first 2 years of ownership.
To drive, around town ,it is very nippy.Easy to park in tight spots-good visibility, and handles very well.Gear change is very smooth.
Motorway driving is good-though at high speeds their is slight wind & road noise.Though the smoothness & steadiness of the motorway drive...

I am Sir Toyota & have come to claim what is mine!
Review of Toyota Yaris T Spirit 1.3 VVT-i by
KatiePuckrik
Advantages: Great price and great extras
Disadvantages: Engine is a bit sluggish.
...£12500. However, my advice to you, the customer, would be to buy it from a 3rd party broker like Jamjar.com or virgincars.com. I managed to buy my car for £10000. Nearly £2500 cheaper than if I bought it direct from Toyota.
Extras:
The Yaris T-spirit comes with a whole host extras (some of which are reviewed below) but my favourite out of all of the extras is the digital display. Say goodbye to analogue speed dials, tachometers and fuel gauges and say hello to one computer display with all the above information in one place. This particular feature is a feature which not many cars in its class have. In fact, according to my research I'm not aware of any small car which boasts this digital display feature. Though if someone is aware of a car which does have this as an option please mail me.
Trip computer:
Along with the digital...

The little car that thinks its big
Review of Toyota Yaris T3 1.3 VVT-i by
ScottishWestie
Advantages: Looks, space, quality & finish, low running costs, reputation
Disadvantages: Flimsy rear parcel shelf
...If ever there was a time when the argument for buying a small car is strong, it is now. With fuel costs escalating out of control & the credit crunch biting more & more people are downsizing to smaller cars as they make more economic sense.
When I used to work at a busy car dealership I drove more than my fair share of small cars & even owned a couple myself. In those days small cars were sparsely equipped, cramped, unrefined & their safety features weren't that good.
However, times have changed & market forces have encouraged manufactures to build small cars of a much higher standard. Today most small cars are well equipped, just as good as much larger ones; they make better use of space, are much more refined, have fantastic safety records & are environmentally friendly.
As far as small cars go the Toyota Yaris takes some...

Yaris
Review of Toyota Yaris Colour Collection 1.3 VVT-i 5dr by
wholefruit
Advantages: Excellent fuel economy
Disadvantages: Road Noise
...Toyota Yaris (Colour Collection) 2005
Annual Milage: Low/Average
Introduction
The Toyota Yaris is one of Britain's top selling small cars. The reason for this is self evident when you climb into one for the first time. The car is quite tall and you get a very commanding view of the road from your elevated position. The Yaris has a digital dash board which is positioned in the centre. This is quite strange at first but you do get used to it. The novelty of driving has long since gone for me and has become a chore but I actually enjoy driving the Yaris. It is not a racing car and it does not claim to be, but it can move if you think you may have left the oven on and need to get home quickly!
Driving
The car is good to drive and feels responsive. The car has adequate handling for a vehicle of this type. It would...
