...The Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has been with us for a while now, and it hasn't been too badly received either amongst the Wii-mote waving, button bashing members of the public out there, so now that the DS version has finally arrived, should these same gamers still be as excited as they were the first time around? Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games on the DS is certainly not short on features, 16 playable characters have all been included, each of which are split into four categories such speed, skill, power and the all rounder's, therefore you can choose which characters you would prefer to use for each event based on their ability. ...Having seen the advert for this game i was desperate to buy it as i have not had my wii for that long and i do not have many games. I eventually bought this game and i am so glad that i did as it is great fun. Players This game can be played as a one player or multiplayer as long as you have a wii remote for each player. Also you will need a nunchuck for each player although some of the games you can play with just the remote. Characters In this game you can play as characters from either sonic or mario such as sonic, tails, mario, princess daisy and yoshi. Each of the characters have different abilities which are split into speed, skill, power and stamina. you can choose a character who is a speed, skill, power or all around type which means that if you are playing a running game you would choose a character from the speed type...

...During the 1990s, if you had a games console you would have probably been in one of two camps: Sega or Nintendo. I certainly was rooted firmly in the Sega camp having had a Mega Drive for many, many years with games like Street of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog. I was a huge Sonic fan, playing the first and second game until completion and then starting up again a few days later as I loved everything about it, the colours, the gameplay.... everything. So if you tried to convince me that some 10-15 years later that Sonic and Mario would team up in a game, I probably would have just laughed. Back then it would have been an absurd thought but one that any magazine reviewer or computer game fanboy would have only dreamed about. Excellent deal at toys r us (nintendo dsi with 3 games)

Advantages: offer alternatives, and solutions to instore problems
Disadvantages: not in the city centre

...The nintendo dsi is £149 at toys r us, with 3 games included. the games are my sims kingdom, sim animals, and Zubo. Unlike other retailers (Tesco for example) when they haven't got the game in are not allowed to do the deal, toys r us give u an I owe you of the game thye haven't got in stock and take your phone number and ring you as soon as its in. They let you take your dsi away. I wanted it in black, and the tickets displayed looked as though black had sold out. They just hadn't put the ticket out, but the cashier asked if blue was the colour I wanted. Told her I'd prefer black and they had a look in the back and found a black one. all in all a good result and compared to the problems in tesco the day before I wish to give toys r us 5 star for service and effort. "Toys" For All Ages

Advantages: Great humor and non-stop adventure.

Toy Story: One for the children.

Advantages: Good gameplay, alright graphics, fun for the kids.
Disadvantages: Unmemorable music, will become quickly boring to adults.

I'd had bought this years ago when I was younger and had promptly given up after becoming stuck on one of the earlier levels, four to six years later and a pound sign next to the title on Ciao! (It's all about the money) I'm loading up the game on my laptop...

  Play with the Toys not Groceries!

Disadvantages: Only the larger Tesco stores stock them.

We live near one of the largest Tesco stores, and went there yesterday to do our grocery shopping, but also had a look round the toy section for Christmas presents. They had the sort of presents you could find on line, as mentioned above, but also a wide variety of other toys for all ages. Because of the time of day we went, there were lots of mums with pre-school children, whose children were showing a great deal of interest in the very reasonably priced Tesco?s own brand toys. ..., switching points, crossover points etc. They also have a lovely battery operated loco that stops and starts when it hits the various points. This would give Brio and Duplo a run for it's money. The cars and vehicles that they sell are very reasonable too. They sell lots of bigger models too like AA Vans, Eddie Stobart etc. They have some good games in too, and lots of girlie bits and pieces and sparkly things that they all love. They have a lot of unisex baby toys too, and have major brand names too....

...What a fun little gadget. It's small but lovely. Its just what you expect from Nintendo. It's very small, but the screen is very clear to see. Its very easy to use, so it a good little tool to keep the kids quite for a little while. The DS, has been out a while now, so there are plenty of games for it, which range from around a fiver to about £25. Its also touch screen which makes this little thing a bit more entertaining. The price for these little bad boys is relatively good value for money, so if you have an extra bit of cash lying around and you feel that your a bit bored, then I would recommend that you get one of these little toys to keep you entertain for hours on end.
