Bristol benefitted hugely from the so-called triangular trade, whereby manufactured goods, weapons, cloth and so on were shipped from Bristol mainly to the west coast of Africa, slaves were taken from Africa to the America?s and the Caribbean and sugar, tobacco and rum were taken from these locations back to Bristol. Evidence of this trade still exists. Fry?s Chocolate Factory was at Bristol (cocoa and sugar), indeed there were 7 sugar refineries at one point, Hartley?s Jam was made locally (sugar again) and Imperial Tobacco was there (and partly still is). BAY TRADING

Advantages: Great quality, styles and prices
Disadvantages: Too cramped store

...Well the answer to my title is quite simple, um.... cash for clothes and accessories and in this case DECENT, GOOD QUALITY Bay Trading items, sorry about the dodgy title but I couldn't really think of anything else! I've only really noticed Bay Trading in my local town centre recently, I've only just started shopping there too so her goes my opinion on the shop itself. The store itself is relatively small but have been in bigger branches, with racks down the sides of the small, thin, long store and 1 single rack all the way down the middle of the store, things can get a little cramped. When loads of people are in the tiny store all at once, things can get a litte out of hand. Luckily the store uses the floor above it too for the changing rooms. The changing rooms are great with a big communal area and then 2 smaller changing rooms...

Advantages: Good prices
Disadvantages: a bit of a mess

...Bay Trading was not a shop I used until a few years ago. It is one of the only shops in the area that I live in that has clothes that I like at affordable price!! Which I think is hard to find! Each time I go in I normally end up buying something! Bay Stocks a range of clothes tops, and trousers mainly. I think that the selection is of a wide range, but I think it could be better. In the summer months there is a wide range of bikinis at mainly £10 each- complete bargain! I normally manage to find what I?m looking for, however the smaller sizes tend to sell out quickly as in other shops. What they don't sell is underwear. I think it would be good if they did. It would be a great sure success, but there is always Topshop in the meantime! The sales are brilliant if you are size 14+ because that what is left in all the sales! As I...

...I love historical novels, and Phillippa Gregory is probably one of my favourite historical authors. Her most well known works deal with the Tudor and Elizabethan Court, and excellent though these works are, they contain characters I am already familiar with, and although her style of writing is gripping, it doesn't mask the fact that I know Anne Boleyn's in for a beheading. So, when I came across a respectable trade, I was refreshed to see that there were no well-known characters in the plot. No kings, no queens, and no whores with three nipples. Instead this is a tale of the slave trade, told primarily from the point of view of Frances Scott. Would you like to trade places

Advantages: Funny, intelligent comedy

...This is one of my comfort films - the sort I put on when I'm not feeling very well. I have loved this film for years and it's always a pleasure to watch whenever it is on the television. The premise of John Landis' Trading Places (1983) is simple - do we get where we are through breeding or circumstance? Trading Places examines this issue in quite an exaggerated way but none the less is does make you think (in amongst the odd giggle) about what if life was different. The film doesn't even try to examine this idea in a clever or complicated way. You wouldn't hear anyone discussing this film and saying "ah but what the film is really about is" or "but this scene represented this idea" it rolls its sleeves up and gets right to the point. I will try not to give too much away but set in Philadelphia in the run up to Christmas...

World Trade Centre Rescue

Advantages: A Good Insight into the Survivors Battle
Disadvantages: Very sad if you only focus on the event and not the rescue mission

...World Trade Centre, as it says on the DVD cover, is definitely a true story of courage and survival. I saw this in my local Asda and thought it would be interesting to watch. It did not disappoint me. THE FILM The film is based on the tragic events of the September 11th disaster in America where the World Trade Centres were flown into by 2 planes and ultimately collapsed. The start of the film shows a police team heading into the first tower to help with the evacuation of the workers who were trapped at the top. As they are getting supplies the first tower starts to collapse and they try to dive into an elevator shaft for safety. The team is trapped and only one of them is able to move and as he starts to try to free the others the rest of the tower falls down and he then is also trapped. He is hurt so badly that he shoots himself...

...reviews seem to think it a hybrid of IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) and Industrial. I think that it is somehow a little bit of all three - and then some. And then some more. As I investigated the reviews I came across a phrase that is the best place to start reviewing The Analysis Of Noise Trading: "Architect's newest album is not one for the meek or the mild". Yep, that hits the old nail right on the head. The Analysis Of Noise Trading is loud, it is full of overlapping rhythms, of beats, of random sounds, of samples, of distortion, of glitches. Yes, it is heavily industrial, it is immersive, the sound is large, sometimes booming but it is also fluid, controlled, beautifully constructed and the whole album works as a piece: it might jag and jar within tracks but the whole album just cascades before the senses. And it is not boorish...

...Based on my previous experiences, I would definitely buy a new car from Trade Sales again. I have bought 2 cars from Trade Sales so far. The first was a used car (six months old) for my husband, the second a brand new car for myself. Before purchasing both vehicles, we checked Trade Sales website to see whether they had the cars we were interested in in stock. In both cases, we knew which types of vehicle we wanted and we found the website very user-friendly and were able to locate specific models immediately. Under each make of car, e.g. Peugeot there is a list of each model available; under these sub-sections the web-site will tell you how many cars of each colour are in stock, how many have been reserved, how many are on order, etc. etc. It is much easier to buy a new car from Trade Sales rather than a used car as they...

Dark Trade: An amazing behind the scenes of boxing

Advantages: Superb award winning author. A captivating read

Always superbly written, always perceptive and nearly always tinged with a sympathetic resonanace as the boxers are routinely taken advantage of. This is not just a book for fans of boxing but ironically maybe more a book for people who do not like boxing as it will perhaps challenge your beliefs surrounding this Dark Trade. McRae: " I Feel a little looser myself, a little less bound to the obsessive extremities of the ring. I still love the fighters, but boxing, as a business, holds me now less tightly than it once did..............but as I look up from this page, I know I will watch other fighters again. Well fear not as there is now a new way to shop for that motor. The Great Trade Centre is a West London-based used car supermarket, who claim to have 4000+ cars in stock at any one time. I wouldn?t have believed it for a minute until I went and saw it for myself. I mean, 4000 cars on display in London? My husband has been there many a time?..so heres his story?. I first went to GTC back in 2000 when I was looking for a Fiesta and I can say that it was one very pleasant experience. I arrived at 12pm and was there til 5. The reason, well, it didn?t feel like a showroom, quite the opposite. The site looks like an old run down warehouse with broken windows...
