The Sun Really Does Shine Here
Review of Sunshine, Ski Resort by
stevenkan
Advantages: Good Value, Lots of Varied Terrain, Great Snow
Disadvantages: Daylodge could be better
...I had the fortune to live in Calgary for two years, and for both ski seasons bought seasons passes for Sunshine Village. So what made me go back?
Firstly, the resort offers superb value for money, both for day skiers and season pass holders.
There is a huge amount of terrain with a total of 91 runs and 12 lifts. The terrain is widely varied with something to suit everyone, nice gentle blues and a gentle skiout through the trees through to Delirium Dive for the experts (note. to go on Delirium you must have an avalanche transceiver, shovel, and partner, there is a gate at the top which will only open when you put your transceiver by it).
Sunshine is 100% natural snow, and there´s normally a lot of it, can we say "powder"!! Although 2000 got off to a slow start.
There are 5 high speed quad chairs so there is hardly any queuing...

8210 nice but no thanks
Review of Nokia 8210 by
volatide
Advantages: Small, highly customizable, Cool logo and ringtones
Disadvantages: short battery life, boring games
...in the neck
COMPOSER
This mobile phone does not have a composer. So what I do is I download RTTL files from the internet and then upload it into the phone using the Infrared feature on the phone.
VERDICT: Bummer
MESSAGES
The 8210 can send up to 160 characters so you can say a lot with 160 characters if that does not help then try using picture messaging because a single picture worth a thousand words. Yes it can do picture messaging but is limited to only nokia phones. I tried to send a picture message to a friend of mine who has siemens it came out like some jumbled up characters.
VERDICT: Can do
COMMUNICATION
The infrared feature is very useful if you have an infrared transceiver on your computer. You can send new logos, even customised logos made by yourself. You can send RTTL files (ringtones) because 8210 does not have...

Advantages: No need for Card Reader....
Disadvantages: None
...Price
******
45 USD
22 GBP
Advantages for the customer
*********************************
These FlashCard offers a compelling value as compared to other flash memory cards as it eliminates the need and cost for a card reader.
-For the Manufacturer
***********************
The host device does not need any conventional flash card interface. The Additional cost for the USB host and/or OTG(On-The-Go) is offset by the Transceiver connector and interface cost savings since only a USB interface is needed
Storage
*********
It can store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. lost, addictive-original and amazing
Review of Lost - Series 1 - Complete (Box Set) by

An overall good mouse but expensive
Review of Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth - mouse by
Manolis
Advantages: Fantastic design and long range
Disadvantages: High battery consumption, a bit slow after sleep mode. Expensive too.
...that it goes through a fresh set of batteries in about a week which is really bad performance.
Finally the looks of the mouse are stunning in my view, but that is 100% personal opinion. Yours might differ.
In the kit they also include a Laptop adapter, so that you don't need to have any cables like the Wireless intellimouse explorer(non BT) as well as the bluetooth transceiver that can also be used in conjunction with other appliances.
If I was looking into buying a wireless mouse, I might also have a look into the logitech 700mx. I have never used it, and I don't like how it fits my hand, but from the web reviews that I've read so far it comes highly recommended....

A fistful of Data
Review of Palm IIIc by
Powerkraut
Advantages: Tons of Apps, pretty good display in dark environments
Disadvantages: Bad Display for sunny environments
...with the software, you can create your own logo or sound and convert it with a little tool (also included) into the PALM-format; I did one "HANDS OFF!!" Very imoressive. Really great software- and free.
You can also find software that works with NOKIA-phones, but those usually have to be purchased.
- "Netzmonitor" This software, that allows the palm to calculate your position by querying the GSM-transceivers that the connected phone is currently booked in. Something like GPS for deprived cellphoners. Perhaps it even works in the UK (I only tried it in germany)
- IR-monitor: check IR-remote-controls.
- OmniRemote: Use your palm as a programmable remote control! This one is really useful- but not free. Too bad it deactivates itself after a short trial-period.
- HanDbase: a database application, very intuitive and easy UI, plus the possibility...

A great little laptop but 1 issue!
Review of Compaq Presario R3000T - Mobile Pentium 4 2.4 GHz - 15" TFT by
snutch
Advantages: Fast, widescreen, good graphics card, lots of sockets for different things
Disadvantages: Poor cooling system!!
...I got this laptop 2 years ago at Christmas time as I had just started university and needed something smaller than a huge monitor and tower which took up all my desk space. It was an off chance purchase as they didn't have the laptop I wanted and offered this one a little cheaper, still £1000 though!
It's a great laptop and has everything you co | | |
