(JetFLASHY V60) - looks = Great USB drive!
Review of Transcend JetFlash V60 - USB flash drive - 8 GB by
ragavpayne
Advantages: Its got 8GB, Its dirt cheap and it comes with great bunch of softwares!
Disadvantages: Looks, below standard transfer rates, size, horrendous colours etc.
...a meagre 3.
Design - 5/10
The design front isn't any impressive either. Its a little bit fatter than the Jetflash V30
series. Its bigger and uglier that the rest of the sticks in the Jetflash V series.
It gets a 5.
Performance - 6/10
The manufacturer states that the drive offers speeds upto 10MB/s for reading and 2MB/S for
writing and that's pretty much what I got out of mine. Put simply, That's a useless rate!!
Its just too slow. But, there are slower ones, so the V60 gets a 6.
The goodies - 9/10
The Jetflash Elite software that it comes with is a real gem (Psst!! You can get this
software from transcend's website and put it in any of your USB drives! I'm guessing that it
should work all the same!). It offers useful and innovative functions such as data back up,
one-click syncronization of the backed...

Good features, but really only for Windows
Review of Transcend JetFlash 220 Fingerprint USB Flash Drive by
TimmyRaa
Advantages: Fingerprint and/or password encryption, relatively cheap given the features, range of capacities
Disadvantages: Encryption requires running software and is Windows-only, protective cover not that protective
...Wanting some storage I can carry with me and keep on my keyring, I was aware that it could potentially fall off and was more likely to lose. I'm not so worried about the cost of replacing the key (most are cheap enough to be nearly disposable now), but I was concerned about other people accessing my data. Therefore I need a key which encrypts or just restricts access to unauthorised users.
I use Windows at home, and as I sometimes use Linux machines at work I wanted something which I could use on both, so I had the idea of getting one with fingerprint authentication on the stick itself.
As a result I chose the JetFlash 220 flash drive from Transcend, as it advertised "driverless use" so I figured I could use it on any operating system. Unfortunately this is not the case - it is completely driverless, if you just want to use...

A drive that will last a lifetime!
Review of Transcend JetFlash V10 - USB flash drive - 8 GB by
shaaza
Advantages: very fast, very secure, very small, comes with a neck strap, has a lifetime warranty
Disadvantages: uumm doesn't come in many colours
...I bought this 8GB Transcend Jet flash V10 a few days after the New Year. As you know I'm the sort of person who likes to walk around with lots of memory around me as I got loads of junk to keep.
With the January sales flying around I had to walk around the shops and surf the net looking for real bargains. That's when I came across the 8GB Transcend Flash Drive for only £24.99 on Moby memory website, which is an internet shop that's sells a lot of gadgets mainly to do with mobiles and digital cameras. I did not stop their, I quickly added my 8GB Transcend Flash Drive to the basket and checked out, although I had to pay extra money for the delivery which was rather cheap.
I really did not want to miss the chance of buying this 8GB Transcend V10 Flash Drive for the reason that I knew it would keep thousands of files including all...

Transcend - buy over Sandisk!
Review of Transcend TS8GSDHC Secure Digital 8192 MB by
technosplat
Advantages: Very fast transfer rate, strong, looks good, smells pretty, cheap
Disadvantages: None
...I am very impressed!
After recently upgrading from my Canon 350D to 450D I needed a high capacity, fast memory card as the 450 takes SD (secure digital) not CF (compact flash) as the 350 does.
As a professional photographer it's vital that I have the best kit I can afford. I was a little worried about buying Transcend over Sandisk, but with such a huge financial saving I thought I'd give Transcend a go. I'm very glad I did!
The Transcend 8Gb SDHC (secure digital high capacity) memory card performs excellently - trandfer speeds are very very good. It's rated at 'speed 6', the same as the most expensive Sandisk Ultra cards selling for over twice the price.
One thing to mention - SDHC cards cannot be read by all memory card readers - generall only the newer ones will read SD cards over 2Gb.
I would highly recommend this card...

transcend is as good as other manufacturers
Review of Transcend 2 GB SD Card 150x by
FirstToTry
Advantages: fast, value for money, vista readyboost compatible
Disadvantages: none
...The 2Gb SD card from Transcend should be your first choice, often looked at as inferior to kingston and other manufactures however the performance of the card is the same and by comparing the prices you get more for what you pay.
Fast transmission from card to pc and large capacity; with a 6 megapixel camera which is standard these days you can store around 600-700 pictures which is more than enough for a whole holiday.
You can also use the sd card for vista's readyboost function - simply insert the card in a slot (or card reader) and if you are not automatically promted/given choice what to do next, go to my computer and right click on the sd card icon. choose property and then navigate to the readyboost tab, where you can choose how much memory you want to make available to readyboost.
What is readyboost? It is a feature within...

My Sony TRV110
Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV110E by
bevboys
Advantages: not too heavy, good first-user DV camera.
Disadvantages: LCD Screen usage can eat battery if used unecessarily
...My main reason for buying the Sony DCR-TRV110 was the price drop as new DCR products came on the market. This price drop allowed me to access digital video and the wonders that come with it.
As a teacher of information technology one thing had eluded me and that was using computers for video capture, and in particular digital video capture.
The use of the Sony DCR-TRV110 can range from simple record and playback to attaching it to a computer video capture card such as Pinnacle Studio DV and perfoming amazing feats of video editing.
Even without attaching the Sony DCR-TRV110 to a computer it boasts some pretty amazing features such as Titling, different type of shoot mode including 'old film' and Sepia toning. There is a great range of transitional effects for blending shots.
One of the other good features is the Sony...

Hoover Performa AC110 Updated 20/04/2005
Review of Hoover Performa AC110 by
Suziwann
Advantages: Cheap, matches most wedding gowns
Disadvantages: A bit slow!
...I have owned this Hoover Performa AC110 for over seven years. I bought it at a trade centre and paid £199 + VAT (17.5%)
I was a bit wary of purchasing such a cheap machine, but in the seven years that I have had it, it has proved it's worth time and time again.
It doesn't have an exceptionally large drum, but I can squeeze in a double quilt to wash and that is big enough for me.
It is a hot fill machine apart from the pre-wash which is cold fill.
The spin speed is 1100, which is efficient enough. Apparently another 100 on the spin speed would only spin out a further egg cup full of water anyway. It also has a 'half spin' option.
The Hoover Performa AC110 has fourteen wash programmes, includes a delicates wash and a wool wash. The hottest wash is 90 degrees and the coolest is the cold pre-wash.
I was disappointed...

Thoughts on Canon Pixma MP110
Review of Canon PIXMA MP110 by
itfcforever
Advantages: Cheap ink cartridges, good quality printing and photographs
Disadvantages: Ugly appearance, user guides for software on CD not in paper format
...for a special photographic print head as had been used with some other Canon printers.
All in all, if you do not mind the rather ugly appearance of the Canon Pixma MP110, for the price it is an excellent all-in-one printer for the home or small office. It uses some of the cheapest ink cartridges around and prints good quality documents and photographs. The scanning and copier functions are quick and simple to use. The Canon MP110 is a very practical, cost effective and functional all-in-one, albeit a bit of an ugly duckling....

Rangemaster toledo 110 cooker
Review of Rangemaster Toledo 110 by
max1966
Advantages: Looks really smart and efficient
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind
...We bought a rangemaster toledo 110 cooker for our new kitchen earlier this year.
We decided on the colour of silver rather than stainless steal as this is easier to clean and wipe.
The double oven is brilliant and practical. One is fan assisted so is really fast the other is just conventional. They are both large and can easily cook Christmas dinner for a family of 14. Both have large windows on the doors which is brilliant for checking on foods. Built in oven lights too.
It also has a separate built in grill. If you need to grill something small you just switch on half the grill - how cool is that?
The built in hob on top is lovely. We have electric so naturally have a ceramic hob. This too is easy to clean. There are 6 halogen rings. Two of which you can half on or full on.
Beware of scratches though on the g;ass hob.
All in all...

The Toshiba Equium A110-233: Jack of All Trades
Review of Toshiba Equium A110-233 - Core Solo T1350 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
salar15
Advantages: Is more than adequate across the board; very easy to use
Disadvantages: As a result, it is unexceptional in most of its attributes
...The Toshiba Equium A110-233 is a very competent all-purpose computer, coming at a very reasonable price (I purchased mine online at Dixons for round about £460).
The actual model itself looks stylish enough, though it lacks any particularly imaginative design flair. Suffice to say, however, that it isn't an ugly, clunky beast like some laptops to be found on the market. The screen is perfectly serviceable, with adequate resolution to handle the viewing of multimedia, and doesn't fall into the recent trend of laptops of being irritatingly minute.
The processing capability of the hardware is certainly fit for purpose too - unless you plan on using memory-intensive games or image-editing software, it should satisfy your needs; certainly if you intend mostly to utilise Microsoft Office, the internet, and other software...
