Reviews of transcend jetflash 4 gb
(JetFLASHY V60) - looks = Great USB drive!
Review of Transcend JetFlash V60 - USB flash drive - 8 GB by
ragavpayne
Advantages: Its got 8GB, Its dirt cheap and it comes with great bunch of softwares!
Disadvantages: Looks, below standard transfer rates, size, horrendous colours etc.
...a meagre 3.
Design - 5/10
The design front isn't any impressive either. Its a little bit fatter than the Jetflash V30
series. Its bigger and uglier that the rest of the sticks in the Jetflash V series.
It gets a 5.
Performance - 6/10
The manufacturer states that the drive offers speeds upto 10MB/s for reading and 2MB/S for
writing and that's pretty much what I got out of mine. Put simply, That's a useless rate!!
Its just too slow. But, there are slower ones, so the V60 gets a 6.
The goodies - 9/10
The Jetflash Elite software that it comes with is a real gem (Psst!! You can get this
software from transcend's website and put it in any of your USB drives! I'm guessing that it
should work all the same!). It offers useful and innovative functions such as data back up,
one-click syncronization of the backed...

A drive that will last a lifetime!
Review of Transcend JetFlash V10 - USB flash drive - 8 GB by
shaaza
Advantages: very fast, very secure, very small, comes with a neck strap, has a lifetime warranty
Disadvantages: uumm doesn't come in many colours
..., but I hardly took note of them. However, after my experience with this flash drive I know what I will expect from them in the future, they do manufacture good products (maybe).
Note
---The jet flash is compatible with many operating system including windows vista, XP, 98(second edition), 2000, Apple Mac O.S 9.0 or above, Linux 2.4.2 or above.
---I have not really seen this in many shops, the first time I bought it was the first time I had heard of it, but I did check it out on Amazon after I bought it to see if I had got a bargain and yes it was there for a cheaper price.
However I am sure you would possibly find it in many electrical shops, however the price could be higher than the price I bought it at for the reason that the January sale is all gone now and the original price before was £39.99 for this 8GB Transcend V10...

The 8GB Kingston Data Buddy!
Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 2 GB by
ragavpayne
Advantages: Large space, nice appearance, affordability, fast performance, pretty design...
Disadvantages: No extra goodies or bundled software!
...Actually, I should be writing this review under the 8GB version of the same series. But, I didn't find the product listed in here; so, I'm writing this review here. Besides, there isn't much difference between this 2GB version and the 8GB version except for the extra 6GB and the colour (the 8GB sticks come in black colour)
Looks/Design - 8/10
I really liked the design. I guess I find this to be good because I also own a Transcend Jetflash V60 which is simply horrendous when it comes to looks. I also like the colours that this little thing comes in.
Performance - 7/10
I never believe in the claimed read and write speeds. So, I did my own testing using professional softwares. The following is what I got:-
Total Capacity - 7.5GB
Random write speed - 5.5MB/s
Sequential write...

transcend is as good as other manufacturers
Review of Transcend 2 GB SD Card 150x by
FirstToTry
Advantages: fast, value for money, vista readyboost compatible
Disadvantages: none
...The 2Gb SD card from Transcend should be your first choice, often looked at as inferior to kingston and other manufactures however the performance of the card is the same and by comparing the prices you get more for what you pay.
Fast transmission from card to pc and large capacity; with a 6 megapixel camera which is standard these days you can store around 600-700 pictures which is more than enough for a whole holiday.
You can also use the sd card for vista's readyboost function - simply insert the card in a slot (or card reader) and if you are not automatically promted/given choice what to do next, go to my computer and right click on the sd card icon. choose property and then navigate to the readyboost tab, where you can choose how much memory you want to make available to readyboost.
What is readyboost? It is a feature within...

Good features, but really only for Windows
Review of Transcend JetFlash 220 Fingerprint USB Flash Drive by
TimmyRaa
Advantages: Fingerprint and/or password encryption, relatively cheap given the features, range of capacities
Disadvantages: Encryption requires running software and is Windows-only, protective cover not that protective
...Wanting some storage I can carry with me and keep on my keyring, I was aware that it could potentially fall off and was more likely to lose. I'm not so worried about the cost of replacing the key (most are cheap enough to be nearly disposable now), but I was concerned about other people accessing my data. Therefore I need a key which encrypts or just restricts access to unauthorised users.
I use Windows at home, and as I sometimes use Linux machines at work I wanted something which I could use on both, so I had the idea of getting one with fingerprint authentication on the stick itself.
As a result I chose the JetFlash 220 flash drive from Transcend, as it advertised "driverless use" so I figured I could use it on any operating system. Unfortunately this is not the case - it is completely driverless, if you just want to use...
