Transcend - buy over Sandisk!
Review of Transcend TS8GSDHC Secure Digital 8192 MB by  technosplat

Advantages: Very fast transfer rate, strong, looks good, smells pretty, cheap
Disadvantages: None

...I am very impressed! After recently upgrading from my Canon 350D to 450D I needed a high capacity, fast memory card as the 450 takes SD (secure digital) not CF (compact flash) as the 350 does. As a professional photographer it's vital that I have the best kit I can afford. I was a little worried about buying Transcend over Sandisk, but with such a huge financial saving I thought I'd give Transcend a go. I'm very glad I did! The Transcend 8Gb SDHC (secure digital high capacity) memory card performs excellently - trandfer speeds are very very good. It's rated at 'speed 6', the same as the most expensive Sandisk Ultra cards selling for over twice the price. One thing to mention - SDHC cards cannot be read by all memory card readers - generall only the newer ones will read SD cards over 2Gb. I would highly recommend this card... Read review

Sandisk 8GB micro SD card
Review of Sandisk Micro-SDHC Secure Digital 8192 MB by  yassarikhan786

Advantages: Large memory capacity, durable for its size, very reliable
Disadvantages: None really apart from it being quite small

...The Sandisk Micro-SDHC Secure Digital 8192 MB (8 GB) memory card is known as an SD micro card, basically because SD memory cards are the smallest you can currently purchase. It measures in at 15mm x 11mm and comes with an adapter when you purchase the card. The Micro SD card format is used mainly for mobile phones, because of the sheer size and the cards ability to hold huge amounts of data. Although, mainly built for mobile phone use, SD micro cards like the Sandisk Micro SD 8 GB can be used in devices such as hand-held GPS devices, portable audio players, video game consoles and numerous other devices. With the 8 GB of storage space, you can hold thousands of songs (approximately 2000), thousands of photos as well as hundreds of videos and other files. When you purchase the 8GB SD micro memory card you get an adapter with it... Read review

Micro SD- Well made and durable!
Review of Kingston Micro Secure Digital 1024 MB by  christopher_t_tran

Advantages: Good transfer speed, durable and long lasting, comes with lifetime warranty, reasonable price
Disadvantages: None

...I have both a 1gb and 2gb Kingston Micro SD card. Kingston is one of the top brands when it comes to SD cards, and I am quite happy with it. It is durable and my card has not broken or malfunctioned after a year of use (and counting), whereas some of the lower brands have been known to stop functioning. The transfer speed is fine for a card of this size (since there won't be any enormous files being added with a 1 or 2gb card). It also comes with an SD adapter, so you can use it as a standard SD card as well. Most cell phones will automatically recognize the card and it can be used right away, which is a nother big plus. Some brands are not compatible with certain phones but Kingston is recognized in most, if not all phones. The biggest reason why I got the card was because it comes with a LIFETIME warranty... Kingston 2Gb MicroSD review
Review of Kingston SDC/2GB-2ADP Micro Secure Digital 2048 MB by  jester.hussler

Advantages: Great Performance, Awesome Durabilty and VERY cheap at retailers.
Disadvantages: Write Speeds could be better but as still above the standards set by most competitors.

...Kingston Technology Company is an American producer of memory products. They are located in California but has other offices in Asia and Europe. I had in the past bought 3 of these cards but actually not for any fault of the device but because of the relibility of this card. With the size of a quarter of a normal SD card this MicroSD is perfect for all kinds of media. Along with write speeds of 6.5 MB/sec and a read speed of 8.8Mb/Sec the card is more than ready for many tasks. The durability of the card is incredible however if the golden strips are put into contact with a humans fingers or constantly touched then the memory card can face issues. Furthermore is common in many SD and Micro SD media and is seen as a general hardware problem. Kingston is such a confident company of their product that it includes a lifetime... Read review

Micro SD card
Review of Sandisk Micro Secure Digital 1024 MB by  Jeeves42

Advantages: Simple and lots of memory for the price
Disadvantages: Easy to lose

...When I first bought my phone, I was dissapointed at the lack of memory for songs and photos. So, I bought this micro sd card from amazon at about £2-3 (£8 with VAT and postage, but was still a good price in comparision with other shops). I bought it to go into my motorola z3, the sliding version of the razr. I thought it may be difficult to put into my phone because it is so small and I had to partially dismantle the phone to put it in but there is a convenient place where it just slides in and it is ready to be used. It took a very short amount of time to transfer files to the card, while it was in my phone and I have managed to store a few albums on it and still have plenty of room for other things. I originally bought it because I wanted more room on my phone for more music, as my mp3 player was running out of memory and I didn't have... Read review

Small Medium and Large SD Cards!
Review of Kingston SDC/2GB-2ADP Micro Secure Digital 2048 MB by  andycharger

Advantages: Lots of flexibility with devices
Disadvantages: Micro Size can be a bit fiddly

...You probably own a device of some sort that requires a flash memory card of some sort and more than likely its an SD (Secure Digital) style card. For a few years now SD memory cards have been one of the most popular methods of storage for digital cameras and some mobile phones. However, as all technology shrinks down, unfortunately so do the memory cards. Therefore a lot of of new phones require a "Micro" or "Mini" SD card. Sounds ok but does that mean your existing card reader (That takes standard SD types of card) is now obsolete? No, not at all! The clever bods over at Kingston decided that they could make their new Micro SD cards backwards compatible for standard and Mini SD sizes by selling them with a pair of handy adapters. Yes, when you buy the Kingston Micro SD, the card itself will fit into all of your Micro SD powered... Read review

Nice
Review of Kingston Micro Secure Digital 1024 MB by  benedictine

Advantages: Small compact
Disadvantages: N

...My Kingston microSD came with an SD adapter that gives you the convenience to use it as a full-size secure digital (SD) card in SD-enabled devices, including media readers. This allows you to instantly move pictures between multiple devices for sharing and printing. I use mine to transfer my mobile photos, contacts and videos to PC it means it is no longer tied to your phone. Share your content collections with friends, family and colleagues easily I also use mine in the R4ds card for the Nintendo ds lite the transfer/read rate is good enough to run your backed up roms with no freezing. A family member had a little problem with one card from kingston that was manufactured in Taiwan. It seems that the ones that have been manufactured in Japan are the better of the two. Made in Japan one is 2x-5x faster than taiwan made. # Features... Read review

The swiss army knife of internet security.
Review of Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security by  pepetheprawn

Advantages: Virus, Spam, Spyware and Firewall all in one! Lots of updates!
Disadvantages: Some features could be improved.

...After my disastrous run-in with a similar product from Symantec ("good old" Norton Antivirus), I was still exposed and vulnerable while surfing the net. I stumbled across Trend Micro Internet Security while surfing, and while initially downloading the trial (available from www.trendmicro.co.uk). I was so impressed I decided to buy it!!! I was shocked to find that it wasn't listed for review on Ciao, but the good old guys listed it, because it is the best by far. Features Scanning: The program has a "Real-Time" scan feature, which basically means that it is constantly scanning different ports of entry for malicious programs of all varities. E-mail of the incoming/outgoing (i.e. Outlook) nature is scanned while being downloaded, and uploaded (to prevent you sending viruses to others). There is also a webmail virus scan... Read review
