Advantages: Accuratly portrayed characters, graphics aren't terrible.
Disadvantages: Gameplay, Dialogue, Replayability, Game physics... the list goes on.

... Transformers, change into something good will you? This game made me want to die inside. As wiith all movie tie-ins games, it is poor. There are no saving graces. From a funny and well made film comes yet another cheaply made and frankly terrible game. Anyway enough with the ranting, lets firstly focus on its positives. I enjoyed turning the system and was pleasantly surpirsed for actually getting credit at Game for returning it. Maybe we are being a bit harsh. Transforming into a car/truck/plane (this could go on for a while) can be fun, and will never lose its novelty. Tap triangle and watch your Transformer slip and slide its way into a new form. ...Here's what happened. On Saturday 28th July at about 4.30pm, I bought Transformers: The Game from my local Game store. At 12.30 on Sunday the 29th July, I was in that same Game store, exchanging it for something else. Obviously, this isn't really an extensive time period in which to judge a game. So rather than a standard review, here's the diary. 4.30pm: Bought the game! Woohoo! Ok, it cost £49.99 but I remember the last Transformers game and that was brilliant. And you can pick up cars and throw them and you can be Megatron, and and and I love Transformers because I grew up with them and this will in no way damage my childhood! 4.40pm: Decide I need munchies to go with my game. ...You know when an incredibly hyped-up film like Transformers is released there's going to be a heck of a lot of side merchandise following it - and so the release of this game on the Xbox 360 wasn't really a surprise to me. --Synopsis-- The synopsis for the game will probably appeal to anyone with a destructive side and a tendency to want to root for the bad guys - you can either play a campaign as the Autobots, the goody-goody robots trying to protect Sam, the film's protagonist (the game contains major spoilers so I would watch the film first if you haven't already) or as the Decepticons, the evil robots hellbent on seemingly blowing everything up. ...Transformers was one of the best movies I have seen, and Actvision didn't make any delay in releasing the official game of the movie. This game never even comes close to the quality of the movie, but still manages to keep the gamers interested, especially the fans of the old Tramsformers. Game-based movies and movie-base movies haven't been too good in the recent past, as we have seen in the form of the movies Blood Rayne and Doom as well as the games Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Terminator and Fantastic Four. ...This is a review of the game Transformers, some of you might know of this game, or maybe the TV series, or the movie. This game is based on one of the newer series of Transformers *cough, crap*. This game allows you to be 3 of the autobots, but I will let you know further into the review. Features ******* There is not much that you can do in this game really. This game seams fun at start, and then just gets extremely repetitive. You can be 3 autobots, which have their own unique transformation. Each autobot can transform into a vehicle, which can give you advantage on the terrain you are on. ...this game could have easily got up into the 4 & 5 star teritory. Its still a good game if you have the money to blow. It\'s not really worth renting the game as you wont see what I mean. The first couple of missions leave you speachless simply because of the morphing and gameplay but after that you wont be playing it for long. I guess it just depends on how much you enjoy the film at the end of the day as the game follows along almost the exact same line as the film. It also definately brings back some childhood memories of playing with transformers in my youth as well. It was worth buying the game just for that for me.... Read review

...Transformers Risk is yet another variation of the original Risk game. This is a simpler variation than most and the game is completed in only six rounds. The board is divided into regions which are sub-divided into territories. You start the game by setting up the board. There are some nice plastic additions which you attach to the board in this version which you can 'transform' for different effects during your turn. Each player takes it in turn to place their peices on the board and occupy territories. You have small 'transformer' peices and larger 'vehicle' peices which are equal to 3 'transformer' peices. ...Fans of the Transformers series have been patiently waiting for decades for a worthly video game tie-in of their mechanical heroes to come along. Now with a new generation of fans to add the franchise, that game has arrived but is it good enough to make every fans wait worth while. I first saw this game on the floor of my little cousins room when down visitng him one rainy afternoon, he promtly told me to have a game and with nothing better to do i reluctantly agreed. I braced myself for a cheap rip-off which only the fans of the series would like,and which i happened to hate. However within 10 minutes I had totally changed my stance on this game. Much to my disbelieve this turned out to be a well thought out game, rather than a rushed job designed to cash in on the Transformers franchise. So even if you don't like the Transformers... ...I actually sent my CV through to Activision once for possible employment. They seem nice, having a back catalogue of Tony Hawks, Quake and Marvel games spanning agelessly through the years. I especially enjoyed Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, as I wielding pound after pound of devastation against an entire city, or completed my umpteenth rocket jump in Quake3Arena. I also heard they're situated in Uxbridge, which I too have heard to be a nice place. There comes a time, though, when you really wish as a gamer to wield the power of Azeroth, or the Sword of Vermillon, to smite the hordes of directors and marketing slugs that make up the decision power in Activision for bringing out yet ANOTHER pappy title in the Transformers dynasty, not to mention assisting in the extinguishment of a console that is endlessly trying to score serious points...
