Advantages: An easy to watch, compelling and uplifting series

...Fruits Basket Vol. 1 Intro Fruits Basket is a comedy/drama/romance anime show (Japanese cartoon) aimed at teenage girls. The series is 26 episodes long, split over 3 DVDs. Volume 1, "A Great Transformation", contains episodes 1-8. The DVD features the show in the original Japanese with subtitles, or dubbed in English. Fruits Basket is based upon a manga series (Japanese comic books), also translated into English. The manga series is ongoing (currently around volume 10+ in English). ...animated as they are created by computers, yes the humans are real though. Think "Monsters inc" or "Shrek" they are animated rather than cartoon, created by computers, Transformers is the same, it's just grittier and darker because of it's older audience.... Read review

...Transformers - The Movie is the first film my befuddled memory recalls seeing at the cinema. At the tender age of six I remember the excitement of its release. It was greeted with the same furore as Power Rangers was and is probably one of the first children's films and animated series that was devised with marketing in mind. Over the years the franchise transformed itself in several guises and has recently made a comeback. However, my rose tinted mind is tinged with nostalgia and accepts no substitute for the original and of course superior series. Advantages: excellent 80's Animation
Disadvantages: looks dated

...destroys both the autobot moonbases leaving the autobots that fought there's locations unknown. Galvatron is forced to first attack the autobot city forcing the surviving autobots to flee where some of them later become marooned on the planet of junk and also the remainder on the world of the savage sharkticons. Both groups later unite and do battle against unicron who by this point has transformed into a robot of planetary proportions and is attacking cybertron. several of the autobots end up inside unicron where the power of one of them is revealed and they save their friends. am not gonna reveal much more of the plot cos it will ruin it for those that haven't seen it Good parts of the film are the excellent heavy music score (they even squeeze some weird al in there) and the much better graphics and animation than the TV series... Advantages: Good animation, nicely paced.
Disadvantages: Continuity errors. A little staid in some places.

...much by the numbers, but it dares to go that little bit further. Fan-Favourite Transformers characters are killed with abandon throughout the first half hour of the film, giving the proceedings a cynical, hardened edge that most kids animation to that point had generally lacked. There are holes here, continuity seems to be something the animators had only recently heard about and were having difficulty getting to grips with, and some of the dialogue can be a bit corny, but the fact that the film gets by this and is still enjoyable is something to admire. It's good fare for the kids, and there's enough there to keep the grown ups satisfied as well. And if you were a kid in the eighties, it may bring back fonder memories than any pictures of you in the clothes you were wearing then. A fair script, solid voice performances... Read review

Advantages: Very funny, nice art style, good value for money.

...is a mess. As Yuki shows Tohru her new room, then ceiling caves in and a young man with orange hair fall through it. He begins with fighting with Yuki, Tohru runs forward to stop him, slips, and lands on him, only to find that he transforms into a cat! Shigure runs up the stairs to find Tohru holding a big orange cat. The shock stuns her so much that she falls against Yuki and Shigure, who transform into a rat and a dog respectively. And here is the main storyline, the Sohma family is under a curse. Twelve members of the family turn into one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac when they are hugged by a member of the opposite sex. Shigure turns into a dog, Yuki turns into a rat, and Kyo (the orange haired one) turns into a cat. The series is definitely one of the best animes around. Alternating between comedy and romance... So here I go, about to start the review... The Transformers, are these robots that can transform into a vehicle, there are 2 different races, Autobots, and the Decepticons, they are 2 races trying to destroy each other. The Decepticons are the evil ones, and the Autobots are the good ones. It is a robot bruel. There are loads of Transformers, not all of them like to fight, but they must to defend themselves. You have some Transformers that have loads of different uses, like Perceptor (voice of Paul Eiding), who can transform into a telescope.
