...With regards to public transport, nothing can beat the convenience of your own car. I would use public transport, if it was a viable option, but it's not. Not for me. I live in a rural village, and before everyone gets on my case saying "Ah well, that doesn't count". It does count. I and my family are part of the community and I am a memeber of the public, therefore I should be entitled to better 'public' transport. I am interested in the envirnment and such like, but I will not be put down for using my car. To me it is essential and vital to me and my family's life style. I'll give you some examples of me using public transport:- Where I live, I have a village store (too expensive for a weekly shop), a butcher shop, a pub and a post office. ...Transport is in my blood. My father was a bus driver and is obsessed by most things that have wheels and moves. Trains, buses, cars, and lorries, you name it he has videos, books and models of them. I've caught the bug and become a bit of a London Underground junkie being fascinated by the history and development of this much maligned transport system. I have become such a geek I recently took a one day course on the Art and Architecture of London Transport. This was held in the subject for this review, the newly reopened London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. I have been to a number of Transport museum such as the tram museum at Critch and the Glasgow Transport Museum but the London one had so far eluded me. ...Swiss Transport System Last year we went to Switzerland in May bank holiday. My Swiss experience has been unforgettable. You might think why did I wait so long for writing a review? Well, there is so much to write, I did not know where to start and where to finish. Two things I liked the most about Switzerland- Swiss transport and Swiss refuse disposal system. Well I do want to start writing about garbage first, so I will start with the transport system. The transport network consists of rail, buses, boats and cable cars- all accessed by one pass. The punctuality is beyond expectation- I am not sure if they set their clocks by train time or the other way round! Advantages: Fast paced, action filled, stunts galore, martial arts abound

...Transporter was a very minor hit in the cinemas but obviously made good money on the release of the DVD as the eponymous 'Transporter', played by Jason Statham, returns for a second bout of high octane action. Transporter 2 is full of what you would expect… unbelievable car chases, innovative and exciting stunts, some cracking fight scenes, a villainess who spends most of her time in lingerie and a ludicrous plot… in fact everything that makes a perfect switch your mind off Friday night movie! This time the Transporter has a nice easy driving job, looking after the young son of a famous politician. He drives him back and forth to school and wherever he, or his mother, would like to go. ...I absolutely loved this film!! I've been watching a lot of comedies lately but my friend bought me Transporter 2 for my birthday and thought I would watch it to make a change. I finished watching it about 15 minutes ago and had to come straight on here to tell you all about it!! This obviously is a sequel to the film The Transporter (hence the highly clever name Transporter 2!). Incase you haven't seen the first one and have no idea what I am talking about, The Transporter is Frank Martin played by Jason Statham (Revolver, Collateral, Mean Machine) and he is as the title suggests, a Transporter. He is paid to transport things from one place to another and the 'things' he is transporting are usually highly dangerous or something that somebody else wants and Frank therefore has to defend his life, and the 'thing' he is transporting... ...How many of us rely on public transport? For most of us it’s the only means of travelling from one place to another. How many of us have waited at a bus stop for almost an hour on a cold winter’s day? How many of us have had to put up with train delays? How many of us have had to push our way through crowds of people in order to get on the train? Transportation in London is a nightmare and this is only the surface of the problem. London’s Public Transportation system must be one of the busiest and largest in Europe, and it has all the overcrowding problems to match. There are two main rush hours in London which if you can avoid then do so, they are between 8 and 9.30am or later, from 4.30 to 6.30pm. ...The South Yorkshire Transport Museum can be found at Aldwarke, near Rotherham in South Yorkshire. Until recently this Transport Museum was located in the former Tinsley Tram Sheds between Sheffield and Rotherham. I visited here about 4 years ago and it was then called the Sheffield Bus Museum. Now it has relocated, it has been given a new name, the South Yorkshire Transport Museum. The former Sheffield Bus Museum first opened its doors to the Public ten years ago, in 1997. In December 2006 this Museum closed, re-opening at its present location a few weeks ago, in the Spring of 2007. This Museum has a collection of Trams and Buses that were once in use in Sheffield and the surrounding area. All of these have been fully restored and are in pristine condition. ...The London Transport Museum recently completed a large scale root and branch refurbishment and reopened towards the end of 2007. I know this because I walk past it every day on the way to work and could witness the inch by inch progress being made over the last year. The LT Museum always had a reputation as a good place to visit. One of the first museums to offer a wide range of interactive exhibits it has always been a popular attraction, enhanced by its excellent location. However, despite again working on its doorstep a dozen years ago I have never previously been tempted to visit. I mean, it's just a bunch of trains and buses isn't it and I see enough of those commuting. ...We need a properly integrated public transport system. At the moment people just can't be bothered to buy expensive train tickets in order to wait for ages for trains which don't run on time, and buses which do not give adequate information about when they will arrive or where to get on. For all its faults though - public transport is the ONLY viable system of transport at the moment. If we carry on driving everywhere, we will become a nation of obese couch-potatoes. I do not drive and don't intend to start driving. I usually find I can get where I want to go with public transport - even if it is in the middle of Leicestershire somewhere!
