...The observant amongst you may just have noticed that I have been to Iceland for a holiday recently. The dedicated amongst you may well have read my reviews on Reykjavik. STA Travel agency - cheap ticket bad service

...I was looking for cheap plane tickets from New York to London. I'd been searching on their website and found a $720 ticket. Noting that the cheapest ticket from an Orbitz search was anywhere from $844 - $872 so this was a good find. However, I thought I would actually go into an STA travel office and talk to an agent since all I wanted was a cheap ticket, my dates and airports were flexible etc. Well, while on a trip to Boston (they have only 1 office in all of New York state) I stopped in an STA office. I told the travel agent my requirements and waited. She was, of course, very nice, no complaints there. Once she was done on her computer she said the cheapest ticket she could find was $815!!! ...In my time I have tried all agencies, Adecco, Blue Arrow, Anne Jagger, Select, First Personal, the job centre and I have found out of all of them Brook Street have been the best, although I never got a placement through them the consultant I had was always trying his hardest to find me a joband whenever he arranged any interviews for me he always got me to come in so he could give me some interview advice and kind of interviewed me himself and gave me some feed back and really prepared me for my interviews. No other agency has gone this far for me. They all give you the details over the phone or via post. Looking for work can be a stressful time and quite difficult, especially if you have to support yourself or a family. ...We bought the Graco Quattro Tour Travel System after looking at everything on the market comparing costs, accessories, weight etc. This travel system was for my first child so I had no previous experience to help me. The whole concept of the travel system is revolutionary; my mom was so impressed. Having the car seat/infant carrier which effectively turns the buggy into a pram and also means that your baby who has fallen asleep in the car can be effortlessly moved into the buggy, is a marvelous invention! We bought the Graco fro Babies R Us in January 2005 for £190. It came with an auto base, weather shield, foot muff and changing bag (the only thing I have had to buy additionally is a parasol). The autobase is a brilliant idea. You fix it in the car once and the infant carrier just clicks in place. No messing around...
