Renaissance Chancery Court- Impressive or Overpriced??
Advantages: Exceptional service
Disadvantages: Tired rooms
...INTRODUCTION
One day mid March an invitation to my boyfriends work ball arrived on our doormat. The ball was to held at the prestigious Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel, a world renowned luxurious Marriot hotel in the heart of London. Not far from Covent Garden, I was treating this beautiful hotel as a little weekend getaway. By means of an introduction I would say my feelings are mixed, and here are the reasons why.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
BOOKING
Through the boyfriend?s work we could get a special rate to stay at the hotel, which was hugely appreciated. I instantly went to the website to book a room. However, upon visiting www.renaissancechancerycourt.co.uk I found that the code for a room would not work. Therefore we decided to pay a visit to the hotel itself. When we entered...

Cedar Court left me wanting more!
Advantages: Close to M62. Wide range of facilities.
Disadvantages: Robotic staff, boring rooms. Testosterone fueled bar.
...lacking in almost every area and did not encourage me to return for repeat business. I have since heard there is a Holiday Inn just around the corner which I shall give a try next time.
Cedar Court is certainly cheap but whether that translates into value is another matter.
Stay completed in May 2009. £59 for the night including breakfast. Booked through corporate travel partner....

Travelling compactly
Advantages: Folds up compactly, bright colours, use as a cot or play pen
Disadvantages: Thin mattress base
...~*~*~INTRODUCTION~*~*~
My mother in law wanted to buy a travel cot when my son was born as she will be looking after him when I go back to work. We looked around on the internet and when she saw the Graco compact she decided that was the one, she loved that it was nice and bright and thought my son would enjoy playing in there as well as sleeping. We ordered it from Kiddicare but unfortunately they have stopped selling it. I have since seen it on Amazon, Halfords and Ebay though for roughly the same prices.
~*~*~FEATURES~*~*~
-Suitable from birth to around 3 years.
-It comes in a handy carry case, making it easy for travel.
-The travel cot unfolds easily and I actually put it up in a couple of minutes on my first attempt.
-The sides are mesh which is nice and soft for wriggly babies banging their heads, also...

Courtly.
Advantages: Codpiece.
Disadvantages: Possibly.
...honeymoon in Hampton Court Palace.
Local public houses and streets still honour Wolsey's name. (Unsurprisingly, there are few churches still remaining in the area that predate the Reformation - you can find one, St Georges, behind The Bear pub in Esher).
*The Palace:
There are a few entrances to Hampton Court palace, but the main one is the West Gate entrance (the Trophy Gate - added by William III 1689 - 1702), which leads visitors into the Outer Green Court (or Base Court as it also known) and then into the Clock Court: One is immediately struck by the grandeur of the palace, emphasised by the enormous Astronomical Clock (1540, Nicholas Oursian - Inventor of clocks for the King) that greets you - interestingly, the clock depicts the sun revolving around the earth, not a common place belief at the time of construction. On the right...

Express Holiday Inn Earls Court, London
Advantages: Good location in London
Disadvantages: Expensive to say the least.
...Express By Holiday inn earls court, London
I made a visit to Holiday inn, in earls court during the middle of July and found this a nice place to stay.
The Hotel had a small sign displayed at the front of the Hotel window advertising rooms from ninety nine Pounds per room per night. Regarding the Hotel's location the nearest tube station is West brompton station which takes around ten minutes to walk from the station to the Hotel, or Fulham broadway is around fifteen minutes away.
The Hotel's immediate location is also close to South Kensington. Therefore Hotel visitors are treated to a great array of shopping malls in Fulham and high streets that surround the area. Directly opposite the Express by Holiday inn is a Thai Restaurant and a Beds Furniture Store. On the corner of the main road is a Polish Coffee shop and many...

The Riverside Court Hotel, Sheffield
Advantages: Near City Centre, Good value for money, River view
Disadvantages: On a busy road
.... The downside of this however would be that there would be no River view from these rooms.
The cost of my colleagues room was £42. This was a special rate that was negotiated due there being no single rooms available.
The standard rates are as below:
Single Room - £37 per room, per night
Double/Twin Room - £47 per room, per night
Triple Room - From £65 per room, per night
Family Room - From £75 per room, per night. (sleeps four people)
These prices are extremely competitive and are actually cheaper than all of the other hotels that are nearby. These other hotels include a Travel Inn, a Holiday Inn , a Hilton Hotel and the Bristol Hotel, which I think is privately owned. All of these hotels are a within a couple of minutes walk from the Riverside Court Hotel.
The Riverside Court Hotel can be found at the address below:

Four Courts: Four *s
Advantages: Great breakfast
Disadvantages: Out of the way location
...Another year, another ISTO. And that means another trip to Dublin, and another hostel. The Irish Student Trampoline Open, following a spell in Cork, was back in Dublin this year, and we went along for 4 days of bouncing, drinking and site-seeing. Our home for the trip was Four Courts Hostel.
I don't really like hostels that much, but I can tolerate them when travelling in a group, and when someone else is paying. However even then, there are a few things I need a hostel to have in order for me to rate it highly. These include a decent location, safe storage facilities, reasonably equipped rooms and a few facilities. I'm not going to compare Four Courts with full service hotels, because that is unfair, but I will compare it with the other hostels I have stayed in, particularly those in Dublin.
We got the bus from the airport...

Safari Court Hotel
Advantages: Comfortable, international full service hotel
Disadvantages: Busy front desk
...I have stayed at the Safari Court twice. Both times it was very busy and appears to be one of the most popular hotels in Windhoek for international travelers and businessmen. Everything was very professionally done. The rooms were well appointed with two double beds. The AC worked well. The bathrooms were fairly spacious. The reception area got very busy at times and one might have a wait to get their key.
The lounge was comfortable with plenty of open seating areas for reading the local paper. The restaurant has excellent a la carte selections that were surprising for their quality. A buffet was available for breakfast and dinner with typical breakfast fare. The dinner buffet offered many selections including local game such as oryx and lots of different appetizers. My father liked the buffet best and I liked the a la carte...

Honiley Court
Advantages: peaceful location
Disadvantages: expensive drinks
...I recently visited Honiley Court for my works Christmas Party and was fairly impressed considering some of the things I had read about on other sites!
Most of the things I had read were all fairly negative stating things such as no heating in the rooms, damp patches, dirty bedding etc so to be honest I was a bit reluctant to go!
The hotel:
The hotel is set in the countryside with beautiful, peaceful veiws on a fairly quiet country lane. We arrived in the daytime and found the hotel quite easily (without the aid of Satnav!) but a few of my colleagues who arrived later in the evening had said they had found it hard to locate as the road isn't all that well lit.
In most hotels I have been in, the reception desk is usually visible as soon as you enter through the door but for some reason the reception desk was to the right so we...

Happy to visit Hampton Court
Advantages: Lovely day out, lots to see and do
Disadvantages: Too much to take in on one visit
...of these apartments, and see how they were accessed and so on. It was interesting to see, and I had no idea that so many people - and such a wide variety - lived in those circumstances.
Getting there
We are lucky, living in south London, to be able to reach Hampton Court in just 20 minutes by car - parking costs £3.50 on the palace grounds, and slightly less at the nearby alternative car parks. To get there by train would take us about an hour - there are trains to Hampton Court station from London Waterloo via Clapham Junction that take just over 30 minutes to get there.
Unless you have an A-Z and a good navigator or know the route, I'd advise against travelling by car as the traffic is frequently fairly awful, especially if there's racing on at Kempton Park, which is just up the road - worth checking before you set off.
Getting...
