We looked around on the internet and when she saw the Graco compact she decided that was the one, she loved that it was nice and bright and thought my son would enjoy playing in there as well as sleeping. We ordered it from Kiddicare but unfortunately they have stopped selling it. Advantages: It's a TomTom. Easy to use. Does what it's made to do. Good value.

...about the sat nav is that you can preview you're route in text and then if you want to avoid maybe a street, motorway, roundabout etc. during the given route, you can. It's literally at a touch of a button. If you were travelling in France, as an example, and the route given went directly through Paris, and you're probably going to expect jams in Paris, you can avoid Paris all together with a touch of a button. It will also ask you if you want to avoid toll charges. Press yes and you're route will be toll charge free but you're route is around 60 miles longer depending where your destination is. To summarize this, if you want a sat nav which will do what it's made to do around Europe, this is the perfect sat nav. If this doesn't satisfy you, Lorry drivers use this sat nav around Europe on a day to day basis. I think that say it all....

TomTom Western Europe, let Jane take the strain.

Advantages: Stress free travelling, comprehensive, clear instructions, cheap
Disadvantages: Some very minor glitches in confusing bends with turns

...or navigating town centres (Limoges, Sarlat etc.) can be daunting to say the least, not with Jane (oops, TomTom Western Europe). It is very hard to think of any negatives, the only one, and not such a biggie, is that sometimes she (Jane) tells you to turn right or left when really it is only a bend, or bear left or right when it is a turn. On the way home we decided to avoid Paris and go by night, no problem, night time settings dim the map, and rural roads are no problem. For our next trip we intend to go into Spain from France and we have no doubt that TomTom will deal adequately. If anyone is getting a TomTom, buy the Western Europe map, it will save you its cost on one trip, in petrol, maps and above all, stress, how on earth did we manage without?...

...Rough Guide, best known for their budget travel guides, has been steadily expanding in other areas, and has been responsible for quite a few musical "guides" over the years. This 1998 album, marketed as "Rough Guide to the Music of Eastern Europe", does pretty much exactly what is says on the package: provides quite a wide ranging overview of folk and (occasionally) folk-inspired music of Eastern Europe. This is an album that pretty much started my liking for "world music" coming from my part of the world, and despite its age it remains a good compilation which really does showcase the variety of what's on offer quite well. One thing that this "Rough Guide" album needs is perhaps a better definition of what is considered Eastern Europe: this is a surprisingly woolly category (I always remember somebody commenting than Poland...

BA World Traveller and Club Europe.

Advantages: the cabin crew are great! the new World Traveller, Club Class.

I'm sure the flight was lovely in Club and First, but beware of the old World Traveller-avoid it! I expected more of a modern airline like BA on my return flight. I feel BA have focused to much on the Club and First class passengers. There are 4 classes on the modern BA longhaul flights-First, Club-Both with beds, World Traveller Plus and finally-World Traveller.
