Sensible price, useful location, no pretentions

no frills (but then it doesn't pretend to have any)

..., many of them don't even count as an inn in the literal sense - since they do not themselves provide food, but rely on a reciprocal arrangement with an adjacent hostelry. Is this a criticism? Not in the slightest.
