Premier Travel Inn - Preston East

Advantages: close to the motorway, cheap
Disadvantages: TOO close to the motorway!

...We have recently travelled up to Scotland from Devon and on the way home needed to break up the 12 hour journey. We stopped at Premier Travel Inn - Preston East. This Travel Inn is literally right beside the southbound motorway near junction 31a northbound. We were travelling Southbound, so had to come off at junction 31, join the northbound and come off at junction 31a. PRICE ++++++ We paid £48 for a room which is Friday to Sunday rates. Monday to Thursday would cost £51. BOOKING ++++++++ We had an AA Road Atlas with us and also a directory of all the Premier Travel Inn's in the country. This is a very handy booklet as it has directions and location for each Travel Inn. I telephoned the Inn and was put through to a central number as they were busy. They took a provisional booking and the Travel Inn called me...

Premier Travel Inn Southwark - London

Advantages: Excellent value, location
Disadvantages: Basic hotel

...I try to arrange a couple of days break for my husband and myself, away from the children, every Easter holiday and we like to visit London and see the sites. If you are looking for reasonably priced accommodation in central London then Premier Travel Inn is probably your best bet. I considered three - County Hall, near the London Eye; London Bridge, north side of the bridge and Southwark. I have to admit that I didn't know where Southwark was until I looked on a map and I was surprised to find out how central to everything it was, so I chose to stay here. The Premier Travel Inn Southwark is about eight minutes walk from London Bridge Underground Station - so make sure that your luggage has wheels! I struggled but had a rest in the grounds of Southwark Cathedral at the halfway point. Doctor Who fans may remember the episode...

Premier Travel Inn, London Docklands

Advantages: Good rooms and service
Disadvantages: Quite remote

...This is a step above most of the premier travell inns I have stayed at previously. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, dealing easily with around 20 of us arriving at once in less than half an hour. The rooms are fairly standar from PTIs, which on the whole is good all round. The bathrooms are especially nice with large baths (useful for us of the larger persuation) and everything laid out nicely. The cafe/resteraunt/bar area is nice and comfortable, definately better than most of them. the availability of a pool table and awell stoked bar was a nice addition over most hotels of this type. Breakfast was well stocked and of high quality all round. The hotel itself is quite remote to look at, but is within a few minutes walk of the Excel centre (which dominates the skyline), a very nice chinese resteraunt...

Not Much Sleep To Be Had at The Comfort Inn London

Advantages: It's relatively cheap to stay in the room, so it's not all too bad.
Disadvantages: The staff, the prices in the restaurant, I know it's London, but I was shocked

...Here is the review: When we decided to book our trip to New York for my 18th we knew the only way to really get to London, was by National Express. Only one of us drives and that person doesn?t feel safe on motorways. The National Express journey was terrible, but when we booked the package, we also booked a hotel called Comfort Inn. We were quite shocked when we were dropped outside of Terminal 5, to then have to wait about 20 minutes for another bus to get to the hotel. I myself was quite shocked to find that the trip took about 20 minutes to get to the Comfort Inn; I thought it would have been on the doorstep of Heathrow, but apparently I was very naive in this aspect. I truthfully thought that when we got to the airport, we?d drag our suitcases around the corner and then ta da, we?ll be at the hotel. This is my own fault...

Did Obama spend G20 at the Beckton Premier Inn?

Advantages: Well located to travel to Docklands part of London
Disadvantages: Not the best area

...the sandwiches myself. THE HOTEL There are 2 buildings the rooms are in; the main area where the restaurant is and annexe across the car park, which is where my room was. I noted the car park was full of vans, and it can be very hard to book a room here at times, so clearly a choice for travellers finding themselves east of London city centre. But maybe not enough room for the bulletproof limos the leader of the free world might require. It's no tourist destination, that's for sure, as it's not the most salubrious of areas, despite all the leaflets for London attractions in the foyer of the annex. Mind you, none of them were in Beckton. The reception area is small area with a vending machine containing crisps and sweets. The reception desk sits in the left corner as you enter, with an LCD TV and 3 comfy chairs and a small table next to it...

Express Holiday Inn Earls Court, London

Advantages: Good location in London
Disadvantages: Expensive to say the least.

...Express By Holiday inn earls court, London I made a visit to Holiday inn, in earls court during the middle of July and found this a nice place to stay. The Hotel had a small sign displayed at the front of the Hotel window advertising rooms from ninety nine Pounds per room per night. Regarding the Hotel's location the nearest tube station is West brompton station which takes around ten minutes to walk from the station to the Hotel, or Fulham broadway is around fifteen minutes away. The Hotel's immediate location is also close to South Kensington. Therefore Hotel visitors are treated to a great array of shopping malls in Fulham and high streets that surround the area. Directly opposite the Express by Holiday inn is a Thai Restaurant and a Beds Furniture Store. On the corner of the main road is a Polish Coffee shop and many...

Room at the Inn

Advantages: Sensible price, useful location, no pretentions
Disadvantages: no frills (but then it doesn't pretend to have any)

...Let's be up-front about this: there is very little "inn" about a Premier Travelinn. I'm prepared to warrant that not a single one of them lurks near a village green, nestles under a thatched roof, has beamed ceilings or an open fire. They do not abound in those quaint niceties conjured by the word inn. In fact, many of them don't even count as an inn in the literal sense - since they do not themselves provide food, but rely on a reciprocal arrangement with an adjacent hostelry. Is this a criticism? Not in the slightest. I would not choose a Travelinn for a romantic holiday or an indulgent weekend?but for a city-break or a business trip when I need nothing more than security, comfort and convenience I use Travelinn most of the time. Their "Tower Bridge" branch is fast becoming a regular haunt. LOCATION: None of what...

Travel Inn for a premier Night's Sleep

Advantages: Easily navigatable website - great rooms
Disadvantages: None

...Premier Travel Inns are great if you are wanting a stop for one or two nights and we use them quite a lot. I used this paticular Travel Inn when I was going to a family party and didn't want to travel the 60 miles back home afterwards. PREMIER TRAVEL INNS There have been Premier Travel Inns in this country now for over twenty years and there are now 500 hotels across Britain to choose from. One of the advertising statements from Premier is "A good night guaranteed" The company are so confidant in this pledge that they offer your money back if you don't enjoy a good night's sleep; we have never had to take them up on this offer!! PRICING It is too difficult to be precise about the cost of the rooms as they vary from Inn to Inn and depending on the days you require them. The rates at this paticular Travel...

Review of Premier Travel Inn Two Mills, Wirral

Premier Travel inn- Poor staff service!!

Advantages: close to amenities, clean rooms and bathroom.
Disadvantages: Rude staff with no people skills, no breakfast included in cost, no toiletries provided.

...We booked the Travel inn, as it was my birthday and we where planning a trip to London and though this would be convieniently based, which it was. Double room £85 per night. Check in time 2pm On arrival at the hotel, we where greated by a very rude receptionist, who spend 15 minutes on her mobile phone laughing before seeing to us. We had arrived 40 minutes early due to our transport being early, and was told that we would have to pay £20 to check in early. We decided that we would not do that as London is expensive enough!!! On speaking to receptionist we asked if it would be possible to leave our luggage at the hotel, whilst we waited for check-in, which she responded "NO" and walked out of reception. How rude! We eventually checked in at the scheduled time, and found our room to very nice, clean, with all...
