The hotel is situated a few miles out of the centre of Newcastle on the outskirts of the city. It lies very close to the A19 and Tyne Tunnel and the seaside town of Whitley Bay is not far away either.

A decent budget hotel.
Advantages: Handy for Newcastle city centre, clean and comfortable, plenty of parking spaces.
Disadvantages: Traffic noise can be a problem
...Premier Inn offering hotel rooms at £29 per night, I decided to take a look and see if they had any available in Newcastle city centre. I thought at that price we could make a proper night of it and not have to worry about getting a taxi home and it also meant we didn't have to use public transport to get there either.

Holiday Inn Seaton Burn - Newcastle Upon Tyne
Advantages: Helpful staff, good facilities, large comfy rooms
Disadvantages: A little bit far away from the city centre.
...My weekends away with the girlies always have to be cheap affairs, so we usually end up staying in some dodgy B&B on Brighton seafront or the back roads of Great Yarmouth, but when I was booking our trip to Newcastle, I stumbled upon the Holiday Inn website, and bagged us a right bargain!

We booked on the Internet a standard double room, which slept up to 4 people in 2 double beds...
