Innkeepers Lodge Leeds
Advantages: Fantastic Value and a good quality Hotel
Disadvantages: None to say
...A few months ago we stayed at Innkeepers Lodge in Leeds whilst visiting some of our friends. We stayed at the Leeds East Hotel and I do have to say we were very impressed and wanted to share our experiences.
We had stayed at an Innkeepers lodge hotel in Birmingham before and as we had enjoyed our stay so much we looked specifically to stay in this chain of hotels for this visit.
The Hotel was different to the one we had stayed in previously -last time we stayed in a hotel with a pub and a carvery below it. This hotel also has a carvery but no pub, but it was also conveniently located so that we could choose from a number of places nearby to eat out. and also to drink at. The hotel was also situated only a few miles from the centre of Leeds, so we could easily spend days out in Leeds without having to travel too far.
We stayed...

CHELSEA LODGE HOTEL -acceptable accomodation
Advantages: cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: not classy but perfectly adequate overnight, but bed not good
...CHELSEA LODGE HOTEL 268 FULHAM ROAD LONDON SW10 9EW
10 min walk from Fulham Broadway tube, same to Earls Court
I stayed on Saturday 25 October 2008 because of its (reasonably) close proximity to Earls Court where I was attending an exhibition.
There was another similar rated hotel behind the underground station but it was reported to be very noisy and I thought a 10 minute walk from hotel to destination would be refreshing, which it was.
This hotel is on a busy main road on the corner of a junction, but inside the big old building you were not really aware of this. I think the hotel just had about 14 rooms in total, so not a busy place.
The hotel receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and efficient. The room was clean and bright, and although I booked a single, they were all occupied and I was given a double...

Jurys inn - Cheap hotel in Leeds
Advantages: Cheap, presentable hotel, good location
Disadvantages: Soulless, very noisy from outside
...Jurys Inn, Leeds is a reasonably priced hotel that is a 10 minute walk both from the train station and shopping centre of Leeds. We stayed here one weekend in August 09 and it cost us £60 per night for a room with a double bed and a sofa bed (though it would have been squashed with 3 of us).
We found the hotel clean and presentable, with reasonable facilities, but very soulless. The staff were polite, although reserved rather than warm. It is part of a chain of hotels, and I got the impression that probably every other hotel in this chain is exactly like this one.
Checkout was at 12, though you could extend this (at a price). The facilities in the room were fairly standard for a budget hotel chain - there was a fair selection of tea and coffee, a desk with internet connection point, a television with more channels than we could hope to...

Queens Hotel Leeds
Advantages: Location, location, location
Disadvantages: Popular if Leeds United are at home on a Saturday
...The Queens Hotel Leeds is ideally located for anyone visiting the city centre ... no more than 10 minutes off the M62 in the heart of the city centre, situated outside and to the front of Leeds mainline railway station. There are ample car parks nearby, with only a short distance to walk with your luggage. Alternatviely, you can request that the conceirge, of this full service 4-star hotel, provide a valet service (at a charge of £5-£10).
The hotel is simply the most famous landmark hotel in Leeds, standing proudly in the city's centre since it ws built in the 1930's. It is a traditional hotel in so much as it is very spacious inside, but has recently undergone a major refurbsihment, bringing a very fresh and modern feel to the grand old lady.
I don't really like to give an indication of what you would be expected to pay per...

Travel Lodge, Slough
Advantages: location
Disadvantages: basic
...Staying at the Travel Lodge in Slough is a good option if you have to stay overnight after a long flight and don?t want to pay through the nose for hotels in the Heathrow airport area.
Slough is also close to Legoland and Chessington World of Adventures.
We stayed at the Travel Lodge in June, 2002. The double room we had was basic, but we didn?t expect anything else for 50 pounds a night. Our room wasn?t facing a busy road so that was a bonus. What we had was a double bed (with a duvet), a desk and chair, telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee-making facilities, TV without a remote control for some reason. The bathroom with shower was fairly clean.
Breakfast was OK, full English or continental. There?s a bar with a TV next to the dining-room, so we could enjoy our breakfast and watch the recent football match at the same time. We...

Lodge in the Forest
Advantages: Central location in New Forest, swimming pool
Disadvantages: kids not like food
...The Forest Lodge Hotel was built in 1820 and was used as a hunting box by King George IV. The hotel retains much of its Georgian architecture and stands in its own grounds. It is located on the outskirts of the village of Lyndhurst in the heart of The New Forest in Hampshire. It is part of a chain of 4 hotels that come under the banner of New Forest Country House Hotels. This means that each hotel can be centrally booked and have the same cost and promotions. The guests have use of the other hotels' facilities but this is not that relevant as, even though they are all in The New Forest, they are not exactly round the corner from each other and anyway the facilities are much the same in them all.
My family, including two small children, stayed half board within a midweek break promotion. This meant that the children were accommodated...

Arebbusch Travel Lodge
Advantages: Ideal base in Windhoek, very easy access to the centre of town, lovely chalets and friendly service. Campsites can be dusty, but plenty of shade.
Disadvantages: Busy road outside the gates, but you can't have everything!
...South of the city, but within easy distance to the centre of Windhoek, this charming travel lodge is an ideal base for both families and independent travellers. We much preferred here to anywhere in the centre of town, mainly due to being able to come through the manned gates and shut ourselves away in our lovely chalet. These are clean, spacious and quiet, the kitchens are moderate, but the showers are a godsend. And a double bed goes down a treat after weeks of camping! The staff are friendly and professional in reception and the restaurant . Be patient with Namibian time however - it's far slower than anywhere back in the UK and anyway, why rush in a country of such awesome landscapes - things will get done and happen....eventually!
I have also camped here and found the sites lovely, as anywhere in Namibia they can get...

Leeds Marriott: Great weekend break!
Advantages: Great location and nice hotel
Disadvantages: Can be expensive but some good deals available
...Health club
Whirlpool
Sauna
Best deals:
You can get some great deals on hotel rooms by using the online Marriott Website. The best deals tend to be at weekend as this hotel appeal to the business traveler during the week. The hotel seems to cater for a lot of stag and hen parties at weekends as it is close to lots of the bars and nightclubs in the centre of Leeds. However, the hotel is still quite quiet and never gets rowdy or unseemly!
Parking:
There is an NCP car park that is located across the courtyard from the hotel. Car parking rates are around £15 for 24 hours.
If traveling by train, the hotel is located approximate 5 minutes walk away from the train station. This is a major train station that offers a series of links to major cities around the country (the journey between Leeds and Manchester and Manchester...

Bad Hotel
Advantages: Free wi-fi
Disadvantages: Poor staff, poor room
...On a recent trip to Leeds to see my girlfriends graduation, we decided to stay in the Boundary Hotel which is about 5 minute car journey into the city centre. Rooms were reasonably priced; we got a single room and a "superior" double room (inc breakfast for both) for £120.
The hotel itself is a 3 star hotel and is located near Headingley Cricket and Rugby Stadiums. From the outside it doesn't look like a great deal but it does has a small car park. The hotel has 16 rooms and each have free wi-fi access and each room has a TV with only the 5 basic channels.
Once we went inside there was a small queue to check in so we had a little look round. There is a small bar area with 3 small tables in one room as well another room with a shabby sofa and a TV as well as a computer. There is a dining area which seemed to be fairly big but we did...

An English Man & An Irish Woman walk into a hotel
Advantages: Location, Service, Design, Pure luxury
Disadvantages: Expensive, Quite secluded location you'll need transport
...This is my second Hotel review in a matter of days, but I'm still trying to find the balance of useful detail and boring everyone to sleep.
In September 2006 My Wife and I (it's starting to sink in now!), got married at the Clandeboye Lodge in Bangor Northern Ireland. As I spent a good few days in and around the Hotel I think I have gathered enough information to put something together!
~~~~Location
Ok, so I guess the first thing is to explain where the Clandeboye Lodge is!
The Clandeboye Lodge is situated in County Down, Northern Ireland, about 20 minutes from George Best Belfast City Airport. This means that it is only a few minutes from Bangor and within comfortable distance from Belfast City Centre.
This is a good and a bad thing at the same time. If you are staying at the Clandeboye it is worth making sure that you...
