Kensington Travel Adaptor
Review of Kensington Travel Plug Adapter - power adapter by
patwanet
Advantages: Lightweight, Multiple plugs
Disadvantages: An extra addition to your bag
...The Kensington Travel Adaptor is a must for any electronic geek who travels abroad a lot. It is imazing that despite increasing globalisation and the unification and standardisation of many entities around the world, electrical power is one thing that varies around the world. From the US and Canada's 110V 3-round pin supply, to Europe's 250V 2-round pin supply, to Africa's Anglo-european comibination, it is quite easy to accidentally damage a device by plugging it in incorrectly.
The kensington adaptor is a useful, if half-hearted device. The multiple plugs are self contained making it easy to carry, and all that is needed is for the user to select the required one and plug it into the wall. Unfortunately however, this device is NOT a transformer, therefore UK devices sill won't work in the US even with the correct plug. I would...

Putting Ear Plugs out of business
Review of Sharper Image Travel Soother radio by
nomad
Advantages: nice natural sounds, good quality
Disadvantages: expensive when not on special offer
..." and a letter which promises £20 off your next order of £60 or more.
A few tips -
I would recommend that you put a battery in, even if you're using the adaptor, as this will save your settings in case of power failure, or moving the radio. If positioned too near your bedside lamp there may be some interference when recieving the radio signal. Having the adaptor plugged in constantly means the plug does warm up slightly, so make sure nothing is placed in front of the plug; let the air circulate. If noises at night are a problem, try placing the radio right on your mattress or pillow, and the sounds will travel into your ear and mask more noises. Only once have I had to use earplugs in addition to cut out the noise that the soother couldn't mask....

Ready to go as soon as you plug it in
Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 2 GB by
OddGodHMK
Advantages: Good size, looks sleek, simple to use straight out of the pack
Disadvantages: Lid may break or come off too easily
...of space remaining (the sticks actually have 1.90GB of space, which is due to something technical that I learned recently and promptly forgot - but basically, the data size quoted is always slightly above what it actually is, for anything).
I personally don't see me filling up my memory stick, but it depends on what you put on it: if you put videos and music, you'll probably run out quite quickly - though a quick mental calculation tells me you could probably put about 30 full albums on this puppy.
Other sizes are also available: 1GB (white and grey), 4GB (white and blue/purple) and the recently released 8GB (white and black).
Ease of use
The Kingston DataTraveler is incredibly simple to use: just take it out of the packaging (which is really the hardest part of getting to use the thing) and then plug it in, and it's ready...

Gives your holes a damn good plugging.
Review of Boots Soft Disposable Ear Plugs by
tallulahbang
Advantages: Eliminate most noise, comfortable.
Disadvantages: Do not eliminate Irish mothers.
...and take to the streets. Now, I don't begrudge anyone a party but when the housing estate that backs onto my street have a massive bonfire, hire the kind of sound system that puts Glastonbury to shame and put out a call to arms for the most spectacularly stupid and uninspired DJ ever to lay his hand on the decks ('Alright lads! This is DJ Loyalist Larry from the Orange massive! Mark? Your Ma says you're to have your tea before you go to the bonfire. Right folks, let's burn the pope to the sounds of, erm, Amy Winehouse. Yeah!') and they're still going strong at 3 in the morning, ear plugs are called for.
Aside, though, from the obvious 'helping you to get to sleep' benefits of ear plugs, they do have another, rather vital, use: without ear plugs it's likely that my mother and I would have come to blows long ago. The trick, I have...

Disadvantages: The cap as it can get lost
...heights - The 4.34 Bn dollar sales is the highest attained in its 20-year history -
-I welcome you to the Data Traveler USB Flash Drive 8 GB
- What is an USB? -
USB - Stands for Universal Serial Bus - This is a standard port for computer components to be connected using a single standardised interface socket. Every computer has these ports to improve plug-and-play capabilities by allowing devices to be connected and disconnected without restarting the computer, therefore saving time and losing any information through the rebooting process. USB ports are used by external devices such as digital camera's, printers, hubs, extra storage/CD/DVD drives etc.
- What to expect with the portable USB Flash Drive 8GB -
The external portable drive is also known as a key or a stick as seen above in the title. The length is 2 inches long...

Snore Calm Foam Ear Plugs
Review of Snore Calm Foam Ear Plugs by

Advantages: Can be reused making them good value for money. They are comfy and work well.
Disadvantages: Do not eliminate loud noise.
...~~~ INTRODUCTION ~~~
Allow me to paint a picture for you. I have lived in the comfort of my peaceful family home all my life until recently and I have moved out to go to university. Now, I am living in a building full of students with cardboard walls. OK, not quite cardboard but when you are trying to get to sleep it sure sounds like it. Anyway, there is always one - one person who can't talk quietly at one o'clock on the morning when I decide to have an early night. I am almost asleep and then all of a sudden, all I hear is talking. Firstly, I decide to lie and hope she "shuts up" soon. Like that was going to happen. So after a little while, it's time to get up and find those ear plugs! And on that note, brings us on nicely to the review.
~~~ WHAT ARE THEY? ~~~
Basically, these are things that go into the ear to prevent noise...
Kingston Data Traveller 1 GB
Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 1 GB by
x2001slim_shady
Advantages: Universally accepted MAC or PC, Small Size but Massive Capacity
Disadvantages: Only Comes In White!!
...I have searched for a decent USB pen drive, which not only works well with both my Mac and Windows computers, and after a few disappointing Ebay buys I found the Kingston Data Traveller. At prices from £10 for a massive 1GB drive this has to be the bargain pen drive for every student or office worker out there.
To start with it is simple plug and play with both Mac and Windows makes this drive so easy to use. Just plug it into your USB drive (both USB 1.0 and 2.0) and the drive instantly starts working, no drivers or downloads needed. It comes in many capacitys but i choose the 1GB version. Although actual size is just under a GB (as with all flash drives) it is still a huge amount of data. If all you need to transfer is documents then this will never ever fill up!
The best aspect of this pen drive however is it easily works with both...
Review of Acer TravelMate 4150LMi - Pentium M 715 1.5 GHz - 15" TFT by
packhouse2005
Advantages: sturdily built machine good price
...yes" so happy as a sand boy strolled out drove home with new toy in tow.
Well My old acer was sturdy and very reliable, so what 9 years later did Acer have in store for me............. to my sheer delight nothing has really changed, plugged in, booted up and approx 20 minutes later is was up and running,fantastic.
It was lovely as it was august so into the garden being a good 50ft from my wireless connection thought maybe be intermittent, but no 3 hours of wireless connectivity and a few beers later it was a shame i had to put it on charge, so a big thumbs up for its wifi connection.
Mouseman traveller
Review of Logitech Mouseman Traveller by
melldrew2
Advantages: compact, easy to carry about
Disadvantages: none i can think of
...I have a Logitech cordless mouse, no negative comments there.
One thing is that if your flying etc. or using a laptop off a desk, as sometimes happens, your mouse falls off your knee. Without a wire to pull back and retrieve it, it can be difficult especially in cramped airlines to crawl about trying to recover lost mouse. I was once accused of being a "perve" by one chap who said I wanted to look up his wife's skirt. No thanks, I have more to do with my life!.
Enough of that.
I reverted back to a mouse with a wire as a result of above.
The "traveller" fitted the bill perfectly.
I saw it at Geneva airport, where it was priced at 78 CHF (approx 28UK£). So I went for it.
The size was the most important thing, as all the gubbins nowadays in the average briefcase/laptop bag seems ever growing, especially if you like the big...
