...*This whole debacle has crippled us emotionally* (Please Read and leave comments) I booked a holiday with this company in December 2008 for the Christmas break, unfortunately my trip turned out to be a disaster, on my return i complained to travel republic, it took the company a month to realise that they could not open the email attachment i had sent them, however on each occasion i rang the company, the staff told me that the complaint was being processed, anyway i resent my complaint and waited another 30 days to receive responses from travel republics suppliers (As travel republic is only an agent, the company passes on your money to third parties who actually supply the service). Online Booking with Travel Republic

Advantages: Excellent Service
Disadvantages: When you can get through

...I have recently booked a holiday to Turkey with Travel Republic. I found the online booking much easier than sitting in a travel agents for over 3 hours (as I have before) or wasting time on the phone while the rep tries to sell you a completely different holiay to the one you want! I received my documents within 5 days, and all was fine. I then decided that we should have a bit of luxury and tried to upgrade our seats. I logged a service request on the website, and got a prompt response that I needed to do this directly with the carrier. The phone number was supplied, so I got on the phone. Advantages: Nice thought, and a good place in which to think it
Disadvantages: Not much to see, except perhaps on April 1st

...People in Britain tend to think of the three ex-Soviet Baltic republics, if they think of them at all, as a uniform group and to assume they're much of a muchness. Republic of quality clothing.

Advantages: nice variety of quality clothes and mega fast delivery.
Disadvantages: Some of the clothes are too expensive

You can also pay with a card if you prefer or if you don't have paypal, but I do recommend that you get it. The dress came just two days after she bought it which I thought was nice and fast. The packaging had republic on it so I knew what it was and the dress was lovely. I am very pleased with the quality of their clothing and their speedy delivery. I also recieved an email-reciept and they told me when the order had been dispatched so they really do have great communication skills so you always know what is happening. Advantages: Worth reading for anyone interested in Politics or Philosophy
Disadvantages: A little longwinded

...The republic is a unique and slightly unusual book in terms of written presentation. The book is academic in one sense, with Plato presenting his views and opinions on governance to the reader, yet he implies a more typically fictional style to do so. His ideas are presented through a conversation, veering on argument, where his characters talk around particular points. invariably the characters come round to Plato's (though his views are presented via Socrates) viewpoint. In some ways it makes the republic slightly longwinded, however it is easy to read, and not to heavy so I am undecided whether I like his choice of presentation. In terms of content, the republic is a key text for anyone interested in philosophy or politics and looks into the quest for a perfect society with perfect governance. Cabarete - Dominican Republic (north)

Advantages: nice relaxing holiday, friendly people, great weather.

Spending money, we probably spent around £400, not including our diving course. First off a bit of geography, DomRep occupies one half of the island of Hispaniola. One of the larger islands in the Caribean. The other half of it being Haiti. It is approximately 8 1/2 hrs away from the UK, but is well worth the time taken to get there. Remember hurricane Jeanne, of September 2004 hitting and devastating Haiti and Dom Rep, well we got there about 7 days after she did expecting to find devestation and in fact had wanted to cancel our holiday, but didn't as we would have lost all our money.
