...Please please DO NOT BOOK A HOLIDAY WITH TRAVEL REPUBLIC. I am writing this because we?ve been through hell and I genuinely don?t want anyone else to experience what we have because of this awful company. I have been fighting for 5 months, trying to get compensation to no avail. We booked with TR due to them being the only travel company to have the particular hotel we wanted. We now no they didn?t have this hotel, but however, decided to take our money for it anyway. We only found out that we weren?t booked into the hotel 15 HOURS BEFORE WE FLEW, due to me emailing the hotel direct to order a birthday cake for my four-year-old daughter! Online Booking with Travel Republic

...I have recently booked a holiday to Turkey with Travel Republic. I found the online booking much easier than sitting in a travel agents for over 3 hours (as I have before) or wasting time on the phone while the rep tries to sell you a completely different holiay to the one you want! I received my documents within 5 days, and all was fine. I then decided that we should have a bit of luxury and tried to upgrade our seats. I logged a service request on the website, and got a prompt response that I needed to do this directly with the carrier. The phone number was supplied, so I got on the phone. Advantages: Nice thought, and a good place in which to think it

Republic of quality clothing.

Advantages: nice variety of quality clothes and mega fast delivery.
Disadvantages: Some of the clothes are too expensive

You can also pay with a card if you prefer or if you don't have paypal, but I do recommend that you get it. The dress came just two days after she bought it which I thought was nice and fast. The packaging had republic on it so I knew what it was and the dress was lovely. I am very pleased with the quality of their clothing and their speedy delivery. I also recieved an email-reciept and they told me when the order had been dispatched so they really do have great communication skills so you always know what is happening. Spending money, we probably spent around £400, not including our diving course. First off a bit of geography, DomRep occupies one half of the island of Hispaniola. One of the larger islands in the Caribean. The other half of it being Haiti. It is approximately 8 1/2 hrs away from the UK, but is well worth the time taken to get there. Remember hurricane Jeanne, of September 2004 hitting and devastating Haiti and Dom Rep, well we got there about 7 days after she did expecting to find devestation and in fact had wanted to cancel our holiday, but didn't as we would have lost all our money.
