20 years in Romania...
Advantages: Beautiful places, friendly people, and many others...
Disadvantages: You can not see all of it in 1 week...
...famous for the fortresses you can find there too. Again these fortresses are from the time of Stefan the Great, and they are not a few, but me as a child and after as traveler thru the cities of my country, I had the occasion to visit 2 of them. But before telling you about them I'll tell you about the cities, about the great ones, to be easier for you to understand where they are situated.
Moldavia is located in the north-east of Romania, the biggest cities you can find in here are: Suceava, where it was the residence of Stefan the Great, Iasi the capital city of Moldavia, Vrancea which is in the mountains, the earthquake from 1977 had the epicenter in those mountains, Bacau, Piatra Neamt another city in the mountains, but here are a very important fortress and a monastery, and Braila another city that has ports on Danube.
As you could...

Romania: Europe's Hidden Gem
Advantages: Amazing countryside, Friendly People and still amazingly cheap
Disadvantages: It get's cold at winter, Joining the EU in 2007
...Although for most Romania probably appears to be an impenetrable and somewhat undesirable destination for a holiday, I couldn't disagree more vehemently. Although prior to my travels to the far reaches of Eastern Europe, I too was a little sceptical about what I might discover. My only real knowledge of the country (barring football) was the images of the orphans in the early 90's and of the overthrowing of a rather tyrannical communist regime in 1989. Whilst the country has moved on into the democratic system, it is fair to say that the legacy of Ceaucescu still lingers in the air.
Unlike it's western European neighbours Romania is trudging into the 21st century. With a mix of Bucharest's ugly concrete communist tower blocks and the maintenance of peasant traditions in the countryside, Romania is unlike most other countries...

The Heart of Romania
Advantages: Great location, Friendly people, Cheap on the pocket
Disadvantages: Gypsies and beggers
...a city with around 320,000 people living there is an ideal place to start any holiday to this up and coming new place to a vacation.
Getting to Brasov:
The easiest way by far is by air, all major internation airports in th UK provide flights to Romania, either direct from Heathrow or in-direct from all the rest. Direct flights (3hrs) are with either BA or Tarom and the price is not much different at around £180 return. In-direct flights (6-9hrs) are slightly more in cost from £190 to £275 return depending on how early you book your ticket and with which airline you use, these can be found on the website of most travel sites. All these flights go to Bucharest in the south of the country. So you will need to travel north to get to Brasov. This can be by train or you can drive if you wish because there are a number of car hire companys...

Travelling compactly
Advantages: Folds up compactly, bright colours, use as a cot or play pen
Disadvantages: Thin mattress base
...~*~*~INTRODUCTION~*~*~
My mother in law wanted to buy a travel cot when my son was born as she will be looking after him when I go back to work. We looked around on the internet and when she saw the Graco compact she decided that was the one, she loved that it was nice and bright and thought my son would enjoy playing in there as well as sleeping. We ordered it from Kiddicare but unfortunately they have stopped selling it. I have since seen it on Amazon, Halfords and Ebay though for roughly the same prices.
~*~*~FEATURES~*~*~
-Suitable from birth to around 3 years.
-It comes in a handy carry case, making it easy for travel.
-The travel cot unfolds easily and I actually put it up in a couple of minutes on my first attempt.
-The sides are mesh which is nice and soft for wriggly babies banging their heads, also...

Euro Trip
Advantages: Funny Teenagers in Europe
Disadvantages: Crude, rude humour
...Euro Trip is one of those teenage movies that actually can?t help but make you laugh. It?s of a similar humour to American Pie, rude, crude and a little wrong but actually a very well made movie and in my opinion very funny.
Euro Trip was released in 2004 . It stars your usual bunch of teenage actors that have swamped Hollywood in recent years. Some have gone on to make more of their careers, some haven?t done very much at all. The girl in this movie who goes to Europe is Michelle Trachtenberg and she has been in Buffy and gone on to do quite well.
The basic plot of this movie tells the story of Scott Thomas and his three friend?s travels across Europe in search of his pen pal Mieke. He discovers he has feelings for her after he is unceremoniesly dumped by his college girlfriend. In quite funny scenes from the beginning...

The Time Traveller's Wife
Advantages: beautiful story, moving
Disadvantages: none
...My husband bought himself Audrey Niffenegger?s The Time Traveller?s Wife as he is a sci-fi fan. He read the book and put it on the bookshelf. After a few weeks I read a few reviews on it and discovered that we have this book so I started reading it. It was a very engaging reading I could hardly put the book down.
When we heard that there will be a film based on this exciting and brilliant novel we decided to go together to the cinema to watch it. Well, I had to wait a lot until I could really watch it but it was worth waiting for it.
The Time Traveller?s Wife was planned for a fall 2008 release but it was delayed until August 2009. The reason of the delay was that they had to do a reshoot and they had to wait for the meadow to look the same again and funny but for Eric Bana?s hair to grow out again. He had a role in Star Trek where he...

Excellent travel system
Advantages: Folding down, multifunctional
Disadvantages: Slightly heavy
...Being a first time Mum, I searched around all the high street shops for a functional and attractive travel system. Out of all the prams this one had the easiest folding down system, even tho it was slightly on the heavy side I could fold it down with 1 hand! The carry cot was great for the first 4 months fitting in to the pram snuggly as the seat folded flat (which I found alot of other prams didn't do) The car seat had a base that made it so easy to take the baby in and out of the car (no messing around with seat belts every time!) It is also very well padded, however it didnt come with cushioned protectors on the straps. When we were taking baby home for the first time, the midwife told us it needed them which were only £5 extra to buy. She's in the buggy part now which has three postions and harnesses which is great. Overall fab...

Genre: Adventure | Comedy | Romance
Starring:

Plot:
Tibby, Lena, Bridget and Carmen have been best friends ever since their mums were pregnant together in antenatal classes, and ever since they have been the best of friends, and family to each other. Although they're all such different characters nothing gets in the way of their friendship. Bridget is the sporty one, she is into boys and football. Carmen is the "geeky" one, she doesn't care much for her looks or been popular, and is the product of a broken home (her mum and dad are divorced). Lena is the shy...

My time in Romania
Advantages: Culture, People, Scenery, Cities, Difference to the UK
Disadvantages: Food - if you don't like difference, Travel - 5.5 hours by road from Bucharest to Sibiu!
...Food - if you don't like difference, Travel - 5.5 hours by road!
I went to Romania between the 25th of October and the 2 of November 2006, after been invited on a school exchange there.
I am writing to portray my experience of Romania (Sibiu to be more specific)
First of all of the places mentioned in this review are in the vicinity of Sibiu which is in the centre of Romania (Apart from Bucharest which is around 300km to the south of Sibiu but still in Romania) now we need an introduction to Romania, Transylvania and Sibiu; here we go?
Romania:
In my opinion Romania has got majestic castles, medieval towns, great hiking and wildlife, and of course cheap skiing. If you go to Romania you will be floored at how different the country is from the UK and other more western countries, the culture, food, scenery, money and language...

A trip to the land of dracula, & cheap mcdonalds
Advantages: your spending money will last a lifetime!!
Disadvantages: beggars can be a bit of a problem and a long long way to go
...half our spending money only to spend it on the ferry crossing home!!!
One visit on our trip was to a place called Peles Castle, home to the former Romanian royal family. On entering the castle we had to put on these special slippers (floor polishers really) to protect the floors. Then we entered the main castle and OMG what a place, I have never seen anything like this place in my life before - stunning, gold, silver, marble, expensive everywhere, the whole palace was beautiful and the grounds even better.
Of course the highlight of our Romania trip was the trip to Bran Castle alleged home of Dracula, the castle looks very haunting from the outside especially the walk up to it, and we were given a very informative tour by a very good guide, who was canadian!!! The castle inside is a little bleak/bare.
Of course Bran castle is not...
