...Since 1780 Smith Kendon has made some fantastic travel sweets. Combining fine ingredients with over 200 years of practice. These tinned sweets will roughly cost you about £1.58. Philip Morris of the US owns Smith Kendons travel sweets. The UK operations are based in Bridgend. These sweets are also available for vegetarians. As a child my dad always had these Smith Kendon sweets in the car for when we travelled on long journey's. I remember them really well and what I can remember is that they are really gorgeous. I used to put them in my mouth and suck the flavour would be really strong like strawberry or balckberry. Real mixes of fruit. These sweets not only tasted gorgoeus, but they also smelt really lovely and sweet. There are mixed fruits like blackberry and strawberry flavours and all of them have this sugary powder... ...I have a golden tin on the mantle piece it used to contain Smith Kendons mixed fruit travel sweets. I have eaten a few of these tins over my lifetime. My dad used to buy them and occasionally we buy them too. Smith Kendon has been making sweets since 1780. Smith Kendon sweets started in America .I believe they sold out at some stage to Kraft and more recently in 2005 I believe Kraft sold them to Wriggleys Not only do Smith Kendon make mixed fruit travel sweets they also make acid Lemon, blackcurrant, and mocha coffee travel sweets. These sweets come in a 200g tin they are very attractive and the tin possibly a collector's item. Now to get on to the sweets. I have seen these sweets available in some newsagents /general stores. Advantages: Best know songs on this from 'Good Will Hunting'

...I got into Elliott Smith when I first saw the film 'Good Will Hunting' and was left with the resonating ringing of his simple but emotionally taught acoustic tunes in my ears after the film. Immediately, I had to seek out further listening and was presented with three albums - his first solo record 'Roman Candle', a second called 'Elliott Smith' and this third record 'Either/Or'. After spending time as homeless for a period, Elliott Smith is clearly a man who has had time to think about life and the trappings that encompas it for himself and for other people. For the uninitiated, The Smiths were only around for about 6 years in the 1980s but they produced some brilliant songs, achieving in those years what it takes some other artists twice as many years to achieve. Practically inventing the template for 1990s Britpop a la Suede, Pulp and The Stone Roses and also having an influence on the likes of Blur and Oasis is part of their lasting legacy. ...Having heard two Smiths' songs on radio (This Charming Man and Panic), I thought I would get a greatest hits. In hindsight, I really wish I had bought all the Smiths albums instead, because this made me fall in love with them. Although Moz himself may dislike the artwork and the reasons for putting out this collection, every song on here is simply outstanding, displaying the full range of Smiths songs. Ultimately this album strikes as one suitable for someone who will only ever have a passing liking for the Salford four piece, or someone who wants to be into the Smiths because it is somewhat fashionable. In any event, 23 songs, well over an hour of quality music, is a good purchase, though I personally paid £16.99 for, you could probably get it considerably cheaper. ...The Smiths are one of those very rare and fortunate bands who never released a poor album. Of course, there was a reason for this, the output from the songwriting partnership of Morrissey and Marr was one of musical history's finest. From 'Hand In Glove' all the way to 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out', they produced some of the greatest songs of the 80's, and all time, in fact. The only problem is, in releasing a greatest hits album, how would they fit so many great songs on to one CD? Answer. By packing that one CD with 23 songs, which personally I didn't realise was possible. And these 23 songs really do showcase the very best of the Smiths. It's one of those best ofs which really has had a lot of thought put into it, and this has caused it to have a lot more meaning and direction than your average money-spindling greatest... ...JOHN SMITH'S SMOOTH - WHAT'S ALL THAT ABOUT? Picture the scene: Robbo2000 is sat in some old man's pub in some town that he is way too cool to be in, with two men who will be politely referred to as "Real Ale Aficionados" (because I'm not sure if I'm allowed to refer to them as "sad, beardy gimps"). The Real Ale Aficionados are each clutching a half pint of "Old Vicar's Country Badger" (or something equally nonsensical, which is really gone-off Tetley's with a different label stuck on the pump) in one hand, and a massive notepad full of scores for ales they have tasted the length and breadth of Britain in the other hand. The degree of pleasure they are deriving from their ales, Robbo 2000 is grateful that neither Real Ale Bod of them has a third hand. The bottle inside is roughly 4.5 inches tall and made of clear glass [tinted a shade of deep flamingo pink on one side only] on which the words "Paul Smith Women" are printed in white. ...I'm stuck in the house waiting for Telewest to come and install my broadband so I thought I'd take advantage of this time to stuff my face and say goodbye to dial up, hopefully forevever. Scanning the crisp stand of my local independent corner shop this morning, I spotted these beef flavoured square crisps. The packet has new emblazoned all over it and always on the look out for a good crisp I bought a couple of packets. Yes, that's right, two. I was hungry and well you know they are only wee .....
