Advantages: Great location, clean and comfortable
Disadvantages: some dangerous corners in the room and no bedside table or light on my side

...Perth Travelodge, Hay Street LOCATION: This is a 3 star hotel in the centre of Perth with 123 rooms (some of these are inter connecting for families) within walking distance of the Swan River or the Northridge shopping area with loads of restaurants and clubs. It is on Hay Street .The reception area is small with a couple of tables and some comfortable chairs, it certainly was not luxurious but served the purpose, The staff at the desk were extremely friendly and helpful whenever we asked for advise re transport or things to do etc. The restaurant opened out from this area. RESTAURANT: The hotel itself has its own restaurant called ?Armada? with a bar which was partly inside and partly outside with umbrellas. It looked quite nice. Advantages: Provided a place to sleep for the weekend
Disadvantages: Unclean and full of bugs

...The Travelodge in Brentwood is actually situated about 5 miles outside of Brentwood in east Horndon. It is located just off the A127 next to a Little Chef and a privately owned pub. It in only a small hotel and there are two different types of room available to book ? double rooms or family rooms. We were going to Brentwood for a long weekend and wanted somewhere cheap to stay for four nights. This was the cheapest option and it wasn?t until we got there did we realise why. All the other hotels available on the search were closer to town and therefore more expensive. However, the booking was made online and payment was taken straight away. LOCATION: The location is right in the centre of the city/town of Darwin and very easy walking distance to supermarkets and restaurants as well as the sea front of Darwin. Minto Place Suite Hotel Ottawa Canada

Advantages: A Suite of Rooms to spread out in without an exhorbitant price tag
Disadvantages: None

...We have stayed at the 'Minto' twice and have booked another visit for later this year. We have always enjoyed our stays there (hence the re-book) and are especially looking forward to this year as it has recently been completely re-furbished. The pictures on the website look great. We find that, as a family of five, with three children suite hotels are definitely the way to go. We appreciate having the extra space, our own lounge, kitchen and laundry room. Our children were quite young when we first went (the youngest was only just one) and it was so much more relaxing not to be confined to just one or two adjoining rooms. We always prefer breakfasting in our room so the kitchen is great to have and the children have space to spread out in the lounge, watch a little tv, even play with some toys if they are still young enough...

In times of need, think Travelodge

Advantages: Super, 24hr service, cheap, cheerful, clean, lovely!
Disadvantages: Car park was overflowing!

..., comfortable and sleep was refreshing, Andrew agreed it was an exceptionally comfortable bed to sleep in. Dead on 9am our brekafast bags were delivered, every item was fresh, the orange juice and cornflakes tub were cold and croissansts were sealed. Every item was duly eaten and drunk there and then, it is the type of thing you could easily pick up and take on your way with you too. We had to check out about 10am, I did this and the day receptionist expressed her condolences too and politely enquired how I had slept, when I replied very well she expressed her gladness and that she hoped Travelodge had helped in some small way. I returned the room key directly to her but there is a quick deposit box at reception. We had a very brief stay here, not really encountering the whole hotel, but our short stay was exceptionally good in all ways...

The rooms are all standard images on the website but can be much different as we found out when we stayed in the Oldham Travelodge a few months later. This one had been taken over from a once fancy hotel and was quite run down. It was clean but not exactly modern. Posh hotel becomes a Travelodge.

...The Regent Hotel has been in Leamington Spa since the 1800's, and at its time of building was one of the biggest in Europe. The last i remembered of it was in the late 1990's when it was shut down and derelict, thinking it was a shame. The hotel is situated in the centre of town on the main street (the parade), just down the road from the Jephson Gardens and pumphouse in one direction, and shopping street the other. It is 5mins walk from the train station. At some point between 1999 and now, the building has been bought and renovated by Travelodge. I had images of the inside of the hotel being gutted, features removed, lots of plasterboard and the standard travelodge style rooms being built. I couldnt have been further from the truth - if you changed the reception desk, and the standard travelodge blue sofas you wouldnt know you...

It was so bad it wasn't even liveable, so we decided to up sticks and pack a couple of bags and escape for a couple of nights. The Travelodge in Droitwich is conveniently situated just off Junction 5 of the M5 in Worcestershire. ...We arrived at the Travelodge late in the evening, so it wasn?t the bustling place you?d normally associate with a Travelodge. First impressions were that this lodge was quite a bit larger than any others I?d stayed in, but since it was the closest to the Channel Tunnel that wasn?t really surprising. The car park, although large, was fairly packed, and we managed to grab two of the last few spaces available, but these were a long way from the door, so it was a bit of a trek with overnight bags. ...I booked online at www.travelodge.co.uk I needed a disabled friendly room and so asked for a double, smoking, disabled room. When we arrived, thats exactly what we got. You'd be surprised how many online bookings for disabled facilities can go wrong! The receptionist asked if we needed any assistance getting to the room and also in the event of fire, asked if we would need assistance. We were also asked if we parked in the hotel car park, and as we had, were told that parking would be free as we have a blue disabled parking badge - the fee is normally 5 pounds. We were told that if we wanted to leave the car in the car park for the day even after checking out the next day, we could. The room was spacious enough for the wheelchair, as was the bathroom. It was clean, and smelt fresh even though it was a smoking room...
