...The Regent Hotel has been in Leamington Spa since the 1800's, and at its time of building was one of the biggest in Europe. The last i remembered of it was in the late 1990's when it was shut down and derelict, thinking it was a shame. The hotel is situated in the centre of town on the main street (the parade), just down the road from the Jephson Gardens and pumphouse in one direction, and shopping street the other. It is 5mins walk from the train station. At some point between 1999 and now, the building has been bought and renovated by Travelodge. I had images of the inside of the hotel being gutted, features removed, lots of plasterboard and the standard travelodge style rooms being built. Advantages: Super, 24hr service, cheap, cheerful, clean, lovely!
Disadvantages: Car park was overflowing!

..., comfortable and sleep was refreshing, Andrew agreed it was an exceptionally comfortable bed to sleep in. Dead on 9am our brekafast bags were delivered, every item was fresh, the orange juice and cornflakes tub were cold and croissansts were sealed. Every item was duly eaten and drunk there and then, it is the type of thing you could easily pick up and take on your way with you too. We had to check out about 10am, I did this and the day receptionist expressed her condolences too and politely enquired how I had slept, when I replied very well she expressed her gladness and that she hoped Travelodge had helped in some small way. I returned the room key directly to her but there is a quick deposit box at reception. We had a very brief stay here, not really encountering the whole hotel, but our short stay was exceptionally good in all ways... Read review

...Travelodge Camberley - 7th July 2007 As we were going to one of my best friends wedding in July we decided we needed to book somewhere close to the event. As the wedding was being held at Sandhurst Chapel in Camberley the nearest place was a Travelodge Hotel on London Road. It was only about a 5 minute drive up the main road. ...I've stayed in a few Travelodges over the years and I have a particular view of them. This Travelodge did not live up to that image, I was quite disappointed with this hotel. Bear in mind that I've stayed in Travelodges in Portsmouth, Milton Keynes, etc, Bath is a few steps up on the "posh" scale so I was expecting maybe slightly more of this Travelodge. Not the slightly less that I received. My partner and I went to Bath Travelodge for three nights over Valentine's weekend. Just a slight distance from the train station, a taxi at night is needed but it's an easy walk in the daylight, straight through all of the shops. Even from the outside, this TL is unlike most others. There are no huge, glaring signs pointing it out to every passerby, in fact I think you could easily miss it. ...I booked online at www.travelodge.co.uk I needed a disabled friendly room and so asked for a double, smoking, disabled room. When we arrived, thats exactly what we got. You'd be surprised how many online bookings for disabled facilities can go wrong! The receptionist asked if we needed any assistance getting to the room and also in the event of fire, asked if we would need assistance. We were also asked if we parked in the hotel car park, and as we had, were told that parking would be free as we have a blue disabled parking badge - the fee is normally 5 pounds. We were told that if we wanted to leave the car in the car park for the day even after checking out the next day, we could. The room was spacious enough for the wheelchair, as was the bathroom. It was clean, and smelt fresh even though it was a smoking room... Read review

...Hello and welcome to my review of my recent stay at the Edinburgh Central Travelodge. So here we were, sitting at the computer at home, my other half and I were discussing where to go for a week away. After some careful deliberation and persuasion from my other half we successfully agreed upon Edinburgh. First thing was to book accommodation as it was no good arranging our flights without any Hotel rooms, the week we were going was the first week after the Tattoo and the City was still hectic as well as it was recovering from this and the Comedy Festival as well. So the first place we looked was Premier Travel Inn, no go on this one as the rooms are quite expensive and the location is not what we were looking for anyway as we wanted somewhere about 10 minutes walking from the City Centre. Advantages: You can get some exceptionally cheap nights on them
Disadvantages: Not always the dates or location you might want. Hot stuffy rooms

...fan 9” fan with us to help counter this problem. Again, some of the lodges do provide fans, but there weren’t any at Perth in this instance and it was quite warm and we did find we needed our fan to help us sleep. Rooms were clean and tidy, as were towels and bedding. No complaints there. The lodge was pretty quiet, with no real traffic noise coming in. Obviously you can’t always allow for guests noise, but we didn’t suffer with that problem either. Leaving the next morning was again swift and efficient, and we were quickly on our way. You don’t even have to wait for someone at reception with a “post box” available to slot your key cards into. One final bonus point for animal lovers - Travelodge allow up to 2 domestic pets (inc dogs), with a charge of £10 per pet, per stay. You simply let the hotel know once you have made your... ...Introduction As part of my job occasional travel and stays away are necessary. This time it was a visit to Microsoft Campus in Thames Valley Park, Reading that meant I was going to spend a night in the Reading Whitley Travelodge. As it turns out its listed on Ciao so I'll make a review out of it - first hotel review that I've tried so please be gently with me. Finding it The address is 387 Basingstoke Road, Whitley. Tom (TomTom to give him his full name) has a pretty spot on idea where this is. The Travelodge building itself isn't visible from the road but you should be able to spot the sign. Travelodge's directions don't make particularly clear that what you are really looking for is a large Harvester called the World Upside Down - what a bizarre name. ...I need to be in London three or four times a year, and have yet to find someone who will give me free bed and board! - any offers?? - So each visit involves a scouring of flight times and costs, followed by an online hunt for cheap accomodation. Travelodge at Battersea in November was quite a find, and I've already booked for the next two visits - so how's that for a recommendation - not that everything was perfect - but I'll explain a bit later. 1 Location ************ Online maps of the area on the Travelodge Site were only marginally helpful in pinpointing the hotel's location. And knowing that the address was 200 York Road was only partially helpful. Neither spelled out the quickest route from Clapham Junction Railway Station. I have been using Travelodge website for some months now and I thought it may be helpful if I wrote this review. The homepage is set on a white back ground with mostly orange and blue sections.
