Milk Tray? Milk Tat more like!
Review of Cadbury Milk Tray by
jammy_banana
Advantages: cheap...
Disadvantages: ...it shows
...Oh you remember the adverts, how could you not? The man always dressed in a dinner jacket skiing over perilous pistes and swimming through shark infested waters and almost coming a cropper with a laser between the legs (or was that James Bond?). Anyway it seemed nothing would stop this man from delivering his precious cargo. And what, pray tell, was this precious cargo? Was it a human heart being rushed for transplant? The nuclear launch codes? What was it? A box of chocolates! But not just any old chocolate but Cadbury’s Milk Tray! And why did he go to such lengths to deliver a box of Milk Tray? Because the lady loved them. Or so we were told because he never stuck around long enough to see her enjoy them.
But I digress. Christmas has been and the goose that we plumped up nicely has made us fat, so as we struggle to both...

Food cube trays make feeding baby so simple!
Review of Annabel Karmel Food Cube Trays with Lids by
dorsetmum
Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: Cost
...I just love the Annabel Karmel food cube trays and they have made weaning my baby (and feeding my 10 month old!) so much simpler.
I first bought them when weaning my baby at 6 months. I started making the basic purees as recommended by Annabel Karmel and freezing them in these little trays. When frozen, I would turn them out of the trays into plastic food bags, and return to the freezer. This meant that when I needed a block of food, I could easily defrost & warm it up for an instant meal. Now that my baby is over 6 months old, I mix in a little whole milk to the warmed up food to make it creamier.
I still use them with my 10 month old, and instead of purees, use them for mini meals e.g. mini cottage pies, bolognaise, rice puddings. In fact, anything I cook in surplus now gets put into these pots to freeze!
WHY I WOULD RECOMMEND...

Mmm! milk tray simply irresistable UPDATE!!
Review of Cadbury Milk Tray by
jakdup
Advantages: Great selection of treats, great to share, good gift idea, cheap
Disadvantages: fattening, dont last long enough
...and is now one of the biggest factories in Britain. In 1899 Richard died at the age of 63 leaving George to become chairman of the board. Also in 1899 the factory trebled in size and the business began to expand. There were now 4 factories each with over 2000 employees.
Production of the MIlk Tray
Soon after saw the introduction of the milk tray in 1915. The name 'Tray' derived from the way in which the original assortment was delivered to the shops. Originally Milk Tray was packed in five and a half pound boxes, arranged on trays from which it was sold loose to customers. The half-pound box was intorduced in 1916 while the one pound box was introduced later in 1924. With its stylish presentation, Milk Tray was the assortment for everyday, not just special occasions, and represented the best buy in chocolates for millions of people. The pack...

Annabel Karmel food trays
Review of Annabel Karmel Food Cube Trays with Lids by
Petuniapotts
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Too time consuming to wash and remove frozen food from
...Bought these to freeze larger batches of fruit and veg for my growing wee one.
They were fine up until I came to remove the frozen portions which would not come out of the tray.Due to the tray being almost rubber like in construction, I could not manipulate the food portions to pop free.
The sides are too deep and too flexible, meaning I had try to pull the sides back on each individual cube to get the food out.
After about 20 minutes (time which busy Mums don't have) of fingernail bending I took a pair of scissors to cut the food free.
I will go back to my rigid, lidded, smaller cube trays and take out several smaller portions as baby eats more, progressing on to tot pots for freezing.
These trays are NOT dishwasher safe however can be sterilized in a cold water solution.
I bought 2 boxes and will not be opening the other one....

Do the Ladies Love Milk Tray
Review of Cadbury Milk Tray by
ashford
Advantages: Smooth 12 different centres Tried & Tested
Disadvantages: A Bit Pricey
...I love a bit of trivia and I also happen to love chocolates. I have long wondered how many ladies would place receiving a nice box of chocolates for Valentine's Day, their Birthday ,their Anniversary,or for Christmas.among their fave presents. My guess is that the figures would be high !
Cadbury's,Britain's ever popular chocolate maker, have been producing nice.cool, velevety boxes of Milk Tray for yonks. I do believe they first came into production during the first world war and right up til today are exceptionally popular. Their huge sales prove that.
Well go down to your local chocolatier or supermarket and the two most common sizes of these boxed chocolates seem to be the 227 gr and the 454 gr containers. The former will cost you between Stg3 - 3.50 pounds in the High street while the huge 454 gr box will retail at between Stg...

DETTOL 4IN1
Review of Dettol All Purpose Cleaner Multi-Action 4in1 by
just.bcoz
Advantages: cleans well, leaves surfaces shiny and clean, smells nice, kills 99% of bacteria and germs
Disadvantages: none
...capfuls of it in a trigger action bottle filled with cold water as you are using less of the Dettol4in1 liquid therefore it will last you longer. You don't have to go out and buy a trigger spray bottle, an old Mr Muscle Kitchen Cleaner or similar style bottle will do just fine if you rinse it out thoroughly before adding the Dettol and water to it and remember to label it. Once you have your diluted solution just spray your bath sink etc with it and leave it on for a few minutes before wiping and rinsing it off to have a shiny looking clean bathroom.
Dettol 4in1 can be used on a multitude of different surfaces in and around the home such as kitchen worktops, cookers, fridges, pet bowls, cat litter trays, window ledges, chopping boards, baby high chairs, walker pens etc. although you do need to make sure that you rinse the product off...

Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-up Booster Seat
Review of Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-Up Booster Seat by
FunkyFaulkner
Advantages: Actually two products in one - fantastic value for money
Disadvantages: Bulkier than some travel booster seats but worth it!
...looked a bit gross!
So, when looking for a travel seat, I decided to go for something a bit more substantial. I searched the web and my various mail order catalogues and found this one - the Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-up Booster Seat (suitable from 6 months to approx 4 years). When it arrived, I was rather dismayed as it was far larger than my friends super slim-line seat. So, I put it back in the box and thought about it for a few days. After I had calmed down (my postnatal hormones where all over the place at this point, so I really did get all stressed out by a booster seat!), I took it out and looked at it again.
It is a brightly coloured plastic booster seat with a dishwasher safe removable tray. It has two height levels, so it grows with your child, and the standard three-point safety harness. It is simple to use - open...

Number 1, Number 1, Number 1
Review of 1 - Beatles (The) by
ps2gamer890
Advantages: Spans all their career and has some real gems, great remastered sound
Disadvantages: No. 1 doesn't always mean great! 3 tracks are pretty bad
...Instead of having to buy each album to get an idea of how they changed their sound over the years, It's perhaps a far better option just to buy this. However , while the 27 tracks are hugely varied, certain pieces just shouldn't have made No. 1.
Here's an analysis of each track:
1) Love me do: A little mediocre really, but considering they were new to the recording and music industry, It's not a bad attempt. Good harmonica playing from John, yet this song did not quite convince George Martin...
Sounds like a revamped "I love you" sea shanty. 6/10
2) From me to you: Much more typical of their sound. Uses their classic harmonies. "If there's anything that you waont!" Satisfying and enjoyable to listen to. 7/10
3) She loves you: More fun and joyful than "From me to you", and
more intense. While all the tracks on this album...

1GB of space...That's 994 floppy disks!
Review of PQI 1GB USB 2.0 Cool Drive Traveling Disk by
Deru
Advantages: Fast USB 2.0 connection, accessories, Compact, Looks COOL
Disadvantages: Requires a driver for Win98, Need updated USB 2.0 driver to use advanced features or your computer crashes, not all computers have USB, gets hot.
...This is a review on the PQI's USB 2.0 1GB 'Cool Drive' Travelling Disk. This product is very similar to my PQI 128MB Cool Drive Traveling Disk, which I've also reviewed, but with one BIG difference. The 1GB version of this drive holds A LOT more information than the 128MB could ever. Now what does 1GB mean? It's short for 1 GigaByte, which is 1,000 MegaBytes. Actually, the space shows up as 999MB but that's close enough. Now, if you've read my 128MB Cool Drive review, or at least seen the title, you'll know that 128MB stores roughly the equivalent of 88 floppy disks. Now the 1GB Cool Drive stores the equivalent of 694 floppy disks! Impressive, in'it?
Now, the 1GB Cool Drive is practically identical to the 128MB Cool Drive. The drive is roughly the size of my thumb, it's metallic blue in colour with clear bits at the bottom and tip...
