...Kodak Tri-X is, I think, the oldest stager on the market: it was around years before I started taking pictures in the late Sixties. Of course, like all the other standard films, it has been modified and improved over the years, but the essential character is unchanged. Resilience is the watchword here. There are sharper films. There are less grainy films. None of them will produce good results in any developer, and none are so tolerant of ill-treatment. There are rumours that you can develop good Tri-X negatives in Brown Windsor soup – and they might well be true! Advantages: Smooth and realistic gameplay, better than previous realeases, x-box live add on.
Disadvantages: Commentary is awful, lacks the presentation of FIFA 2005

..., and there was a sense of glory, unlike FIFA, where you can beat a side 29-0 if you so wish. With Pro Evolution it is different, you cannot do that, thats why the more realistic approach has been a massive hit with gamers. They want to feel as though they are playing in a real match, not in the local arcade. If your worried about the X-Box controls, dont, it will take about 3 or 4 games to get used to but it wont affect your enjoyment , for example pressing the Y button will be just like pressing the triangle button on a PS2 pad. The white button is to run your ass off down the pitch , that is the most difficult button to get used to in the game, once that is sorted, you will have no problems. Although director Mark Steven Johnson tries to create a gothic tone not seen since “Batman” and in some cases he succeeds, he has the habit of not using the camera to the full and either using ideas too much so that they become excessive and saturated or not using other, more better ideas enough creating a confusing, incoherent picture. Another is “Hulk” directed by legend Ang Lee, although it is visually incredible to watch in places, it fails in its pace and its power of the script. Ang wanted to blend tense drama with spectacular action but with the script as weak as it was, neither was really carried off with great success. Advantages: Handling, quality, seems to take great pictures all by itself! That great 24mm lens
Disadvantages: Sorry, but if you think the price is high, you don't understand value.

...I've had my GX100 for only a few days, but already I've realised it's the digital camera I've always dreamed someone would one day make. This is a true photographers camera and unlike most digitals, it looks as if a photographer designed it rather than an engineer. It has a really great feel - solid and easy to use, the buttons are where your fingers naturally sit. It's fast to use. It has a super lens - the 24mm setting is a pure delight. Good pictures are the result of getting in close enough, and the 24mm lets you do that. Decent aperture and anti-shake means indoor pics are doable without the dreaded flash. I use the electronic viewfinder all the time and I wear specs. The ability to set up two "My" settings is wonderful - I use both for B/W - one at 80 and one at 400 giving high quality and "tri-x gritty" respectively... Read review

...choose if you want to have a great big golf ball sized lump of chewing gum or merely something to make a nice taste in your mouth. However, they're so small they can be difficult to get your fingers around- who can really be bothered fiddling around for the 5 or 6 bits you need for a normal sized bit of gum, when you're in the middle of a night club? The actual taste is very unique. There's 2 different flavours- the typical spearmint (the one I've tried) and I think the other's peppermint. They're not sugar filled but you can taste the sweeteners in them. The instant you place a bit in your mouth it becomes very cool and leaves it very refreshed. The level of mintiness is quite high- not quite as strong as Airwaves, not at the eye watering stage, but stronger than Extra. The best feature of X-cite is the way the flavour stays around... ...taking the teeth out. It's not them that;s the problem, it's the lower one. I'm too much of a chicken that I can't face him whipping them out in the surgery, which he has offered to do. The other Friday I left work and sat in the waiting room until he saw me, I wasn't leaving until he had done so. In the end , this is when he tried to X-ray again to see if I needed a root filling, the machine couldn't detect that tooth underneath. I tried twice, but kept feeling as though I was going to choke. Why do they have to wear those rubber gloves, they make me courten. In the end he said if I can't let him X-ray it, I would have to have that out in hospital too. I've been buying Anadin Ibroprofen Ultra, and I buy 2 packets at least a week with 16 tablets. Up until Tuesday I had found them to be working, and also the dentist had prescribed... Read review

...film size, you get a few problems. Cameras start getting heavier. Yep. If you thought your trusty Nikon was heavy, just wait (no pun intended) until you pick up a medium or even large format camera. They weigh a ton! And that's before you add a camera. Also film availability. All your favourites will be there: Velvia, Provia, Sensia from Fuji. Kodachrome, Gold, and a few other bits from Kodak. And in black and white Tri-X, XP2, HP5, FP4. Where it's lost is when you try and use more obscure films - such as infra red films like SFX200, HIE or Konica ir750. But as you increase the format size, you lose out on some of the interesting little films, especially those at the extremes of the ASA scale: either the super-slow (25-50 ASA) for the quality-luvin landscaper, or the high-speed (1600-3200) for sports / night photography etc. Plus...
